Thanks for the kind words guys. Again - nice to have such results but equally any results > $25k for me are more indicative of extreme run good than anything else given my volume and average stakes. Just gotta keep knuckling down and hope the results keep following.
One thing I think I did consistently in May was get outside for some exercise every day. Even if it was a 30 minute walk up the hill, it made a huge difference to my mental health I think.
For a while in the UK you were allowed to leave the house once per day to exercise due to corona. This became part of my routine, and I think it's definitely a big takeaway from this period that spending time in nature and getting some sunlight makes a huge huge difference. It's crazy because these things are obviously good for you, but so easy to neglect when the gains you get from them aren't concrete and with the rush of day to day life and the way our brains our wired much easier to 'relax' by lieing on bed scrolling through social media instead.
Last month probably did more cardio than I've done in a long time, including an impromptu near half marathon run when my road bike got a puncture.
Last month ran 45km, cycled 330km, so would like to try to beat these in June, and also this total time:
bitb Cash
Our bitB cash group has also been absolutely popping this month and year. This is probably highly covid correlated I guess, but also I think the underlying signal has changed too. Despite claims from our competitors I think there really is no dispute now we that we are the best cash group in the world, with 2 coaches in top 10/15 players (makeboifin, 464 for clarity) in the world, all 5 coaches average stake >750nl, and only 14 students between the 5 of us.
We actually had a discussion a year or so ago if this was something we wanted to keep doing and concluded that keeping a small group of guys we like and enjoy working with, and making it encompass all of our private study was the way to go. I'm so glad we continued and actually love the community now, all of 464, psek and my study is basically done within the group, and just seeing people have that lightbulb moment is such a great feeling and I'm sure my own progress has been a lot due to the students in the group too. Apologies if this is a bit too much advertising for some, but this is a big part of my grind and my advice to anyone looking to succeed would be to work and study with friends, make it fun, build a community, and love the process. This is what bitB more broadly has been for me, and am sure on the tourney and cash side of things has been for countless other players.
Goals for June
