Binged the bitb cash podcasts over the past couple of days while playing. You and Darrel make for very good hosts and do a good job of giving people room to breath, but also keeping things moving along. Hope you do lots more of these.

op, do you have a strong opinion on zoom vs regular tables especially when trying to move up the stakes? assuming a player has a solid overall game that is doing well against unknown/average/solid regs

Thanks mate - it's something that feels quite unnatural on stream sometimes and still a lot to learn, but I'm keen to improve and glad you are enjoying them!

I have a fairly strong opinion that zoom is a lot worse, less so in recent times but it just tends to have a way worse rec to reg ratio, and recs naturally play better. Obviously you get a few more hands per hour but you lose a lot of ev from playing much higher stakes at the same ability level. (that said, i played more zoom than any other game last year .)

So the last month was not great for me. I took on a lot and was fairly overwhelmed at points, didn't study as much as usual, and probably made more mistakes than usual too.

Obviously these results represent unreal heat, and I'm just grateful to be in a position where top 5% heat can allow me to live such runs.

It was only 18 months ago I was sat with D7 in a cafe in Edinburgh asking if he thought if it was a good idea for me to quit my job and get back into poker.
Back then I'd have been happy with a 3k month, last month I made more than my old job paid in a year. I'm definitely not especially talented, just lucky and surrounded by the right people, and extremely grateful to all the help I've had along the way from too many guys to mention.
