yeah not going to lie, does feel good - financially at least definitely justified. Maybe I needed to see the real world though to get the fire back for poker. Still a lot of work to do though.

Ha I have looked at two hands I've played vs you already this year in a small sample where you took lines I wouldn't have considered that turned out to be good - wouldn't worry about falling behind

Will upload YTD when I get hands from RIO, but it's not huge because my first few months were very meh on Stars, and spent a lot of time on bitB Cash/ tourney stuff, just over $50k in total I think and almost exactly 300k hands.

Proper poker update later but we recorded this today with 500z crusher and fellow pgcer thejericho2:

As mentioned before, we are still new at this, so appreciate any feedback. Was a fun one to record!

I wanted to write a quick update as I'm about to take a fairly prolonged break from the tables. On Tuesday I'm heading off to Vienna to stay with some of the guys, and then me, 464, and psek are hiring a car and driving into the Dolomites and Vienna.

I'm also going to head to Barcelona in August and spend some time at home in Bristol, so my volume the next two months will be fairly fragmented. These last few months since I've got back from Skye, I've tried to be really disciplined with study, volume, and mental game. I've obviously ran hot in this sample (or maybe just a 9bb winner ye?) but it's good to see the results reflect improvements I feel I've made, winning about 8k on RIO too in this period.

I'm hoping to crack on and get comfortable at 500 when I'm back from travelling, and the dream would be sitting some 1k by the end of the year.

------------------------------------------------------------

Lifewise, acheived a long term goal of mine to run a 5k in less than 20 mins recently:

and took a 5 day trip to the highlands with my parents, but you guys are probably sick of highland photos by now

Nevertheless, really good to be able to still climb mountains with my folks, hope to enjoy a few more in the next years.

Sick results and sweet 5k time. Any plans to continue getting it lower? Back in my teens I used to do a lot of mid/long distance running and considering getting back training for 5ks,

Enjoy Vienna and keep putting the podcasts out, they're great.

I was planning to retire once I sniped 20 because it took me so long, just before my knee surgery I did 20:06 and then after was back to 23 mins - I only run sporadically really but do enjoy the park run things in the UK.

But this one was actually first run I'd done in a month and a bit, had no running shoes (was in gym trainers), and no pacer, just ran kind of randomly following a random guy, and didn't feel too bad. So just shows you how much of it is in your head. Given it was a fair bit inside 20 too fairly motivated to do some training runs and push for sub 19 in the winter but we'll see how long that continues

Cheers mate, yeah it's weird I think because we aren't used to it it sometimes feels liek you gotta wrap up as soon as there is any pause in conversation, but I guess if we keep doing them we'll get better with letting the silences go a bit. Definitely woke up this morning and thought there was more I wanted to ask.

Enjoyed the podcast a lot. Would have been cool to hear a bit more about how he got into poker and the come up I guess. Interests outside of poker also a good one if you’re struggling for conversation. Would definitely watch more of these in future.

Goes without saying, but sick results also mate.

Wow sick results man, congrats! Podcasts are really interesting and please keep making them, though starting with "tell us sth about you" not the best option imo. You could start with sth more specific so the conversation goes more smoothly and poker related. I'm grinding 25z now and once I move up to 50z gonna try to join bitbcash. Enjoy the time off!

Great results - keep them and the highlands photos coming imo.

Enjoyed the podcast too. Met Darrell a couple of summers ago so cool to hear from him, and thejericho2 seems like the most chilled out guy ever. For future pods, def would have listened for longer (e.g. would have been interested in more about his travelling, where in South America and what it's like there).

Great podcast, didnt get bored for a second and listened through it in one go. +1 for making these longer. Jericho looks like a really nice guy, proves what Ive heard about him before. Gl with destroying nosebleeds mate!

Absolutely crazy results, mind boggling you arent playing 500z way more often whats up with the volume btw, how do you play 100k hands in 5 months and then blast off with 70k in june?
Ps do you coach?
