Its a shame ppl can be so petty. How can we expect to sustain or re-grow the game. If we cant even share a hand or two on social media giant platforms ?...
Surely streaming is everything you did tenfold? Lex Velduis openly broadcasts opponents HUD stats to 4 figure viewers. There's no way you should get penalised before him for breaking TOS
Cheers for the support guys. Unfortunately ended up having my worst month of the year - particularly depressing after being 8k up.
Definitely the worst downswing I have ever had at 200z. Feel - as anyone does when they downswing, that I ran particularly badly. However, also determined to not just chalk it to variance, 30 BIs is unlikely enough given my win rate this year that I definitely need to keep putting the work in to make sure I am where I want to be.
I also think the volume was probably a bit too much this month. Including bitB, I did well over 200 hours of poker related work, which is just too much I think given how mentally draining poker is sometimes. Will reflect on that when I set my goals for next month.
On the positive side of things, smashed all my goals for the month and life is still good - will likely keep this thread going in some format for 2019.
Happy new year guys and thanks for all the support - pulled together an edit with some footage I took this year too:
200 hours is insane man, especially in December. Burnout with that amount of hours is probably inevitable, shows how much love you have for the game and for coaching though
About the reporting, I think it's likely to come from 100z/200z regs that don't like you, wouldn't be surprised if it were that weird reg from chile, maybe some random lurker in here that is on tilt.
Gl next year, hope to play vs you soon, haha!
Btw, I saw in my notes and I have you marked as a probable fish/semifish, because your sn looks so fishy that you had to be one haha! Sn game is A+, sir! I'm not the greatest to identify player types with low sample haha!
I don't blame you rapidesh, UK location is insta-marked as fish for me too
200 hours damn, yeah careful with burnout, it's definitely a real thing
Nice video George! The 3guyswalking.clip @28s I find kinda comical for some reason, kinda like old-school Laurel&Hardy-esque haha prob cause the two guys nearly slip hah

Haha yeah I crack up everytime I see that, cool Hawaiian scenery ruined by a tiny slippy patch
RE burn out, looks like you did more than that from your blog no? Interested to hear any tips you have for maintaining that kind of volume, I've always struggled with more than 60k a month.

Idk if there's really any tips haha, my avg volume for the year was 66k hands a month so it's not thaaat much. Don't think I was close to burning out despite it looking like I played a lot.
Just try to be consistent and a no-lifer I guess (whilst getting enough sleep every night), I ended up playing something like 310 days out of 365 on the year whilst having 4 separate holidays hah.
Going to keep this going, will pm mods to change the title.
Month has started off pretty well:
I'm heading off for my 1st ski trip of the season tomorrow, to Les Arcs, which I'm hyped for. Going to enjoy some enforced time away from the tables, have been hard on the grind the last 50 days.
A couple of fun hands from today:
1- Vs Rec, 0% 3bet over a reasonable sample. Gave him the full timebank, and genuinely considered the never fold, he's probably not playing online poker again
Unrelated to poker, my lease on my current place in Newcastle ends in the middle of February - if anyone knows of a room going in any reasonable poker houses, I would be interested to hear about it.
Took time off poker to go skiing in Les Arcs/ La Plagne, France last week, staying in a small apartment my parents were renting. I'm grateful to still be able to spend prolonged periods in parents company and enjoy it as much as I do - something I've been making a lot of effort to do recently after reading The Tail End blog post - which I strongly recommend.
It's also testament to my parents 50 year old legs that they can still mostly hang with skiing-wise even after I've done 2 seasons. The snow in Europe was actually unreal this week though, so managed to find some local kids to ski the gnarlier areas too - took some cool go pro for the 2019 edit and some drone footage which I put on instagram..
Took a quick video of a little 180 combo too here, the full park wasn't built and snow was too good to spend too much time here, but still had some fun laps and too old to do big tricks now anyway:
Poker wise, I've played another 5k hands and month is more or less where at the last update. I've been studying hard and really enjoying working with the group at bitB too atm, learning a lot myself.
I've started battling a bit at 400 alongside 200z, but I think I have to be more respectful of the opposition. Quite often I've been playing 3-4x 200z along with 2 battles and 3 reg tables, which realistically I'm not going to be winning in. 400 6max quite often has very solid guys starting too - so going to cut the table count a bit and focus more on improving over the next months.
Spent a huge amount of hours in the lab this month. Can't help that feel I kind of wasted my PIO edge whilst I've had it over the past few years, a lot of regs have obviously put more time in and overtaken me. A few times I've wondered wtf they are doing, then checked afterwards and realised they were just right.
Improved a lot of small leaks, and identified a lot more to work on. Going to try to play more 400+ next month, even if it is lower hourly it's definitely good for improvement and motivation.
This month has started off with terrible volume but some heat:
Feeling good about my game, doing some mental game work in the bitB channel - think in the past I've undervalued the importance.
Month is misrepresented because I actually lost a stack by sitting into 500 PLO and refusing to not sitout next BB:
UTG 1 tabler opens, CO pots off 9bb, we reraies 40bb, then all in pre. Was fairly tilted to have lost a stack but equally have literally no clue if pok KK suited Ace is a good hand here.
Hopefully going to pick up the volume a bit, have been working on automating some of the bitB admin to give me more time to coach and play. Only really a half month this month because going I'm skiing with Bena, ishter, D7, 464, peter804 and Linus on Feb 20th ish, so I need to grind before then.
I also wanted to share the sealiest picture you'll seal day, from the Northumberland coastal path this weekend:
Wanted to add the worst thing about that Omaha hand: I was locked and loaded with my new draw card I need on screen strat from 464 but genuinely had no clue what card I needed, just had to watch the equity %s change to zero - such a stupid game
