I am a 21 year-old student from Greece. I started playing online poker (mainly MTTs, and some 5z/10z on the side) back in February 2018 and I found out that I enjoy every minute of it. Being able to make a significant amount of money by sitting on a chair in front of a computer screen is what almost every millennial is dreaming about; either it is playing poker, their favourite video game, or trading stocks. Growing up I was interesting in everything that had a competitive nature, so from the moment I found poker through a cousin of mine I fell in love with the game. As I was studying Computer Science for the past 2 years, I noticed that it is no longer satisfying, as much as it could guarantee a good future career for me. I was never able to put significant effort in something I wasn't enjoying so it became really hard for me to follow a tough schedule with a lot of exams, so I decided to take poker more seriously and put in the effort being a winning player demads.
I started playing almost every day for the past 3-4 months from early noon until late at night, while studying some mornings by using every free source I could find. As you can imagine I gave up on the current semester and focused on becoming a good poker player. Early in my new challenge I found out how it is to be a losing player; losing nights happen far more often than winning ones so the motivation for me to work and become better day by day was there.
During May, after hard work learning the fundamentals of the game, I managed to make 1350$ (103% ROI) profit playing just <6$ MTTs. It was the first time in years I felt excited about the upcoming future and that gave me a reason to make the decision to work hard this summer so I can maintain poker for at least a couple of years, until I find out what I really want to do; or who knows maybe it will become a long term occupation. The following month I managed to bank another 1200$ (65% ROI) profit, raising my bankroll to 2550$.
I decided to post this threat so I can share my challenge/journey with other people who are on the same path. I don't know if I will end up succeeding but I know that it will be worth the time.

So are you done with school then? I hope you haven't quit school to focus on poker. If you simply didn't enjoy school or the path it was taking you down then by all means take a break and find something else to pursue. Your best bet however is to keep poker as your side gig. Get a job, go back to school and play poker in your free time. Best of luck, I hope you crush it.

nah just MTTS and SNGs

Hello fellas,

Micro Millions is over so I decided to post an update; also, I just had a great session and I have a lot to post about.
It went ok (+300$ profit) until the last weekend. I won the 4.40+R for 350$ so I was kinda freerolling July. The last weekend though was really swingy. I played a lot of hours (also I was adding a couple SNGs when I didn't have a lot of tables) and ran like ****. I went from +300$ to -250$ so I decided to stay until the morning. It turned out to be a great decision because I got 2nd in the Hot 4.40 for 650$ and manage to ragain my profits plus I made some more. Since MM was over I decided to take 2-3 days off and have some deserved fun.
Today I decided to play again and had some great success. I made 3 final tables got 3rd in 4.40$ 8-max and 3rd in 11$ 6-max PKO for 146$ and 340$. The night closed out with a deal in the 11$ 4-max (heads up) and 500$ for a total of 900$ profit.
