Time has come, July is in the books!

Did manage to salvage the month, so feeling good/okay now

So yeah, July was crazy a bit in terms of irl stuff going on. I'll get into that a bit more later.

So yeah, disappointing results to say the least. Volume was poor too.

Had too many -4k sessions at 500z that cost me. Also, played really bad at times and experienced tilt for the first time in a while too. Also, got coolered a ton at 500z, but who cares. Every reg gets coolered. Just a meh month results wise, but still winning so w/e.

I didn't play any 1k nor 2k this month. Something I want to do sometime in August if I get a good seat. I'm usually a big pussy for these, so like I'll usually only seat if like a friend pressures me into doing it lol.

As for irl, I did travel a lot. I was in Macau for a couple of weeks, then went to Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul and San Francisco. I actually met Kiljusieppo while I was in Macau, Finish reg that post here that grinds 100z and 200z, seemed like a nice guy.

Asia in general was pretty sick. Rly like it in the far East. I visited a friend of mine in Seoul and I have to say, that place is crazy.

Now I'm back home and recently just moved to my parents' house. Basically, my life atm consists of going to the gym in the morning, comeback and jump in the pool, then grind all afternoon/evening. No need to worry about food and like cleaning and **** which is nice. But yeah, will be looking for something else most likely during Fall.

Also, one of my high school friend is getting married soon and we had a bachelor party last week with the whole gang. It was pretty sweet, like we played some tagball, went to hit some baseball and played miniputt lol. Then for the evening, we went to eat out on the busiest/clubbiest street in town and we partied till 5 am. Bottles and what not. Was nice, but I'm not used to getting drunk often, so the day after, I was in the worst form ever; I hate hangovers... The wedding is in two weeks, so guess I'll have to brace myself again.

Anyhow, irl plan is to grind hard until the wedding, then I'm leaving for Greece for a family vacation for 3 weeks. I'm still undecided as whether or not I'll bring my laptop w me to grind. I guess I'll cave in the end and bring it but I don't think I'll be able to put much volume in anyways. We'll see.

So that's pretty much it. Rakeback cuts suck but like, I don't seem myself going to Party as of right now and grind massively 100z lol since like 200 seldomly runs. I could grind reg tables though but idk. I'll sweat my friend who has made the move there and will see afterwards. Like goal is to move up, become an end boss, and I don't see this happening anywhere much else than by moving up stakes through Stars. Might change my mind though. We'll see.

One thing I forgot to add in my last update was the book I read while I was travelling. It's "The Happiness Advantage" by Shawn Achor.

One of my friends gave it to me before I left and it was eye opening. I finished it in two days lol. Basically, it tells you the secrets to happiness and how you achieve happiness in your life throughout seven principles. Some principles are like std stuff that we just needed to remind ourselves. Others, are kind of advanced concepts for the common muggle, but for us poker players, it's nothing we haven't seen.

Anyways, I would recommend this book to basically anybody who wants to improve his life (who doesn't really?).

As for poker, the start of the month has been pretty tough to say the least. Been sitting at some NL1k for the last 2 days but not much has happened there really. I don't feel out of place there so that's positive. But still think my game isn't as good as it should be.

Will update more often during the upcoming days. I plan to grind a **** load, everyday basically, before I leave for vacation.

Also, I've been grinding with some friends this week and I have to say, it's a really cool atmosphere. Like, I've been used to grinding alone for the past 2 years already so it feels refreshing to grind w fellow grinders.

August Results



Annoying to say the least. Started the month w the mindset to play a lot of 1k and push myself to play high stakes. But after the first two days of the month, and only 800 hands played, I was already down 5.5k at 1k lol.

So the plan went out the window.

Ran ****ty, could never win an all-in. Shout out to all the 500z regs that run it once; you guys are the biggest luckbox

1k didnt seem that hard too much tbh, jsut think I ran ****ty...

So goal in September will be to grind like crazy 500z, and will check towards middle of the month results. If going okay, will shot take 1k again.

It's been a long time since I've posted a HH so wth...



Irl, am in Greece atm w like half of my family. It's cool and all but kind of eager to get back home and just go back to healthy habits and my usual schedule.

Had my friend's wedding just before I left for Europe. Was great and all. Will most likely post a picture or 2 once they get out.

I also plan to play a couple of WCOOP since I had so much fun playing SCOOPS in May.

Not sure I like this hand - I mean I don't mind the 3bet but once you flop so bad I suppose I just check and give up in this spot - Seems like a high variance play that should be avoided - but than again I don't play zoom poker so maybe my advice is bad.

What does he call 2 streets with and give up on river?

I guess the small flop bet with the backdoor draws is ok, and you pick up equity on the turn. Seems like we are forcing action in spots we don't need to though.

When asking this question in a kind of pessimistic way, and I used to do it too, it sounds like we are a bit narrow minded and not analyzing the hand properly. Instead of looking at villain's whole defending range in Btn vs SB scenario, we kind of focus only on his calling/top of range parts.

Won't comment too much on this hand in particular but will only say that we should have a bluffing range otr in nearly most situations (some exceptions at 500z for sure) and this hand kind of fits particularly well in that range w respect to the runnout.

Also need to finalize my fantasy sheet for my NHL pool w friends coming up next week
