Start to the year didn't go too well. I checked at about ~ mid month results and I was down almost 14k in 21k hands... Obv not the start you want to a new year.
Usually happens when I take long breaks from poker. I think I didn't play for like 7 straight days at the start of January which is crazy because through all of 2017, the most I didn't play for consecutively was 2 days and that was because of flights and travelling. I try to never skip more than one day; helps stay sharp and on top of my game. If I don't play for two days, I feel lost and all the spots seem tougher than they should be.
So because of that, haven't played any 1k yet because of the run bad/play bad... reasons, I know...
Anyways, now just focus on making money and once I'm back in the green, I'll sit at 1k.
Some guy posted abt me faking my graphs here but I can't seem to find the posts anymore abt it. Guess he was banned or smthg but he was saying that my yearly graph that I posted, the dates were from Jan 1 2018 through Jan 1 2019. So yeah, I don't know why it appears like that tbh. Might be smthg w how I set up my time on my PC or smthg and it got the dates in HM mixed up.
Anyways, crypto is going okay. Nothing crazy. Still tryharding but did lose a bit of motivation. Mostly because it keeps time away from being better as a poker player.
Fwiw, I'm 100% sure that if I had nothing going for me in my life, I would drop everything that I'm doing and go balls deep into crypto. Seems like the best life saver there is atm and you know, it's kind of cool too.
Will update at the end of the month.

Results
So rip goals of playing any 1k lol as I was down 13k after 21k hands at 500z.
Glad I managed to rostocko and win some in the process. I just felt so out of it at the beginning of the month after taking 5-6 days off. And obv was running subpar but wcyd.
All in all, disappointed a bit w the results, but still happy I managed to turn it around.
For the last months or so, I've been thinking abt the initial purpose of this thread which was to help me and motivate myself so I could reach 500z.
This has been achieved having grinded the pool for more than 600k hands now. The wr is ok but could be better obv. There is still a lot of room for improvement.
Anyways, what I want to say is that I will no longer update this thread for now as I think that its purpose has been fulfilled. I managed to move up stakes and be a winner. This thread also allowed me to make new connections and develop friendships/relationship w other regs and I'm v grateful for that.
I would also like to thank everybody that has supported me or was rooting for me all along during this epic ride. I hope this thread inspired others to work hard at their game and finally take the jump from small stakes to mid stakes.
Me closing this thread does not mean I'm giving up on my goals of reaching HS. I just don't think I need this pgc in my life atm for now. I'm working day in, day out in order to become better at 6max. I might reopen this thread when I see fit or when I feel like it would be beneficial for me.
I will stay active on 2+2; there are way too many good PGCs out there atm that I love following like bena's, clanty's, hurtncyde's and gazzy's just to name a few.

Hey guys, long time no talk
I've reached 1M hands at 500z ever since I moved up there in March 2017. So this is the graph for 500z from March 2017 till August 2018 (18 month period).
So yeah decent stuff. Studying a lot lately. Next step will be 1k.
As irl, I spent March and April in South America with some friends. I had such a blast there, would def recommend. Came back in May to Canada for Scoops, had a couple deep runs, and one 5 digit score, but nothing crazy.
Then left again and went to Playa del Carmen for a few weeks and met a ton of poker players and had some memorable nights there. Made new friendships and just was awesome as a whole.
Place is nutworst though if you ever want to work hard and study. I feel that if I would live there, I would just do drugs and party all the time.
But yeah, for a short time, its cool.
Came back to Canada again afterwards towards end of June, I was sick most of the time and didn't play much poker at all. Had too much family stuff to attend to, and I just didnt seem to find the time to put in any work. Wasn't really feeling good about my game. This was end June and whole month of July.
As for August, I decided that I needed to get my **** together. After spending most of Spring partying in SA, and then just going degening in Playa, which then resulted in me getting sick and doing jack **** for a month and a half, I had to do something.
So I spent the whole month of August at my grandparents house in Montreal, while they were gone in Europe for the summer, to play a 100k hand month.
So yeah, all I did in August was play 500z, study 1.5~2 hours everyday and go to the gym. I saw friends maybe ~4 times during the month lol and played tennis like 2-3 times, thats it.
So anyhow, that was my lockdown month, I had decent results and my game is now back to being pretty good I would say. But it's not something I would want to do too often. Maybe once a year.
As of now, I'll play some 1k in September, maybe some 2k if tables are good.
Also looking at some places to go for fall as the weather will turn to **** sooner than later here. Most likely will go back in SA or I'll go to Western Canada. Supposed to go somewhere w family for the Holidays but nothing is planned yet.
Anyhow, that's my life atm. I'm not sure what I'm doing here, like I don't think I'm reopening this blog for good, but I guess I'll post every now and then when I have something worthy to post. I had to let go of the fb page (even though a lot of people told me they liked it) for irl reasons.
A lot of fellow poker players told me they liked my blog, which is always good to hear, so yeah that's why I decided to update on reaching 1m hands at 500z.
