Yeah we'll see how this goes. I'm a bit scared/reluctant about going to 500z because of my recent history there but I know I need to move up eventually so... And it should help me get better and improve.

I mean 200z population stations quite a bit otr so really need to be careful. I might be overbluffing some spots. Nothing like 500z though where literally nobody folds.

Lol, there are like maybe 5 maniacs tops at 200z, and I'm not one of them. Valee might be one though; this guy bluffs like crazy haha. Anyhow, I would suggest folding the river since the regs like you said are mostly quite nitty postflop.

Thanks guys

You are both pretty good regs in the pool.

As for my SN, I'll reveal it eventually. But for now, I prefer keeping that as a secret.

Nice, sick ladder grind.

I think xPastorcitox mentioned in his thread that it took him about a year and a half to get to 500z from 2z.

Well... Didn't go too well in first sesh.

And this is my "year" at 500z lol

And down like 2.5-3k more on laptop...

It's disturbing. Even if I tried, I wouldn't be able to lose at that rythm...

I always have struggled in the past w moving up, but now, it's getting a bit ridiculous.

Down -14k EV I believe in about 25k hands I think if I add laptop hands in there...

Will go back to 200z AGAIN because my confidence at 500z is rly low. Will wait for friend to sweat before shooting again...

Some hands in the "show"

RIP my Life

I think moving down is def a good to rekindle that confidence. As Lumiere said, don't give up just yet!!

Heyo! Resubbing now that I got my real account back (piewagon from before). That 500z run is hard to watch. I wish you the best of luck! Is it kosher to ask about posted hands? I'll try. I was wondering how that 89o makes it into your BB calling range, and the 22 makes it into villains range for calling 3-bets. Neither really seem necessary from a defending standpoint. It's clear something has passed me by the few years I've been away

There is runbad a bit for sure but I also think that I play a style that is really driven by the pool meta. Meaning, if I don't know the tendencies and the "what nots" of the pool, I'll struggle. And that's what's happening atm at 500z.

For more than a year, every time I tried to move up at 200z, every shot take would yield in me losing 1k+, EVERYTIME. It was ridiculous. Now that I'm aware and figured out the pool meta, I'm comfortable with my reads and exploits which makes me feel confident in my game.

Trusting yourself and having faith in your capabilities is a huge boost when playing poker. Basically, I have that at 200z and don't at 500z.

Btw, I watched a movie tonight w a couple of my roommates, I think it makes it into my top 5 list.

It's a Canadian movie which has won numerous awards, one of them is third place at Cannes Film Festival, and it's ridic good.

It's filled w drama, highly cringed moments and it's super upfront.

                  The music is also insane.

Here's the trailer (movie looks meh at best in the trailer though)

It's in French but it's available w English subs obv. Check it out, it's worth it.

Anyways, things are going well at 200z. Part of it is because I know the pool so damn well. I talk to a lot of fellow 200z regs so I get a lot of different perspectives/opinions on how other regs see spots and such.

These skype conversations w fellow 200z grinders help a lot cause it confirms some bias I have towards some regs and it gives me knowledge over other regs that I'm uncertain about their game.

Knowing the tendencies of the pool is so underrated; I've been paying attention to it more and more since moving up.

I've also been watching the recorded sessions of Nick Howard's 200z stream. Mostly as a warm up, or just to keep my mind on poker (don't rly like his game much tbh). However, he does have some interesting input on how to improve your life as a poker pro.

I'll wait for a friend sweat to go try-hard at 500z. Need a chaperone to look after me over there lol.

Song I've been grinding to on repeat for the last few days

                  Cheers,

                  GLGL,
