Hi, my name is Jon and I am a live cash player from S.E. PA. My primary game is 1-3 nlh ($500 cap). Except on Saturdays when I play 2-5 deep ($2500 cap) and/or 5-10 deep ($5k cap). I have a decent hourly over quite a large sample size. I started this thread to try to light a fire under my ass. Where I used to be in good shape and grind out long sessions now I am overweight, out of shape and seem to be tired as soon as I start the session.

Here are my goals:
( ) Go to gym daily
( ) 2000 cal max per day
( ) Weigh 170 lbs by start of 2016 WSOP (currently 258.8)
( ) Be 100% alchohol free by start of 2016 WSOP
( ) Grind a minimum of 50 hours a week until the start of 2016 WSOP
( ) Post progress daily

Wish me luck

thanks for the suggestion

mcdougall diet is interesting but I love chicken/beef to much to cut it out all together. I just know I would not be able to stick.

Good start today,

Played 9.5 hours
worked out 1.25 hours
Ate 1940 calories
Current weight 258

Happy with day 1, I felt much more alert at the table after my morning workout. Need to cut down the alcohol because it makes up a large amount of my daily calories.

Another good day 2day,

Played 9hrs
worked out 1.25 hrs
Ate 1750 calories
Current weight 254.6

4 lbs in 2 days at this rate I will hit 170 in about 40 days. Lol I wish it worked like that. Starting tommorow I think I will start posting my poker results. No hourly rate goal just to add more to thread.

Strugled a bit today but was able to push thru. After morning w/o and then at the table i felt physically weak. Still managed to run well at the table but could only pull 6.5 hrs and I was spent.

Played 6.5 hrs
Worked out 1.25 hrs
Ate 1950 calories
Current weight 254

6.5 hrs @ 1-3= +$565

Here is a hand I got extremely lucky on:

Villain open limps $3 from c/o ($500 effective)

H/J calls $3 ($350 effective)

Hero ($1200 effective) raises to $15 with A A from SB

Both call (pot $43)

Flop: 6 5 3

Hero leads $40

Vilain raises $95

H/j tank folds

Ok now here is the problem. I know villains game very well. He is extremely tight and is never doing this with air. He would have open raised TT+ 100% time pre. He could not of flopped a strait. His range is sets, nut flush drawl and possibly 4-5 suited. but I call

Hero calls

Turn= 3 (pot $221)

Hero checks

Villain bets $100

Now 4-5 doesn't beat me but my hand is face up and he would check it behind. The flop probably should of been a fold IMO. But the turn defiantly should be. So I call.

River= A (pot $421)

Hero shoves

Villain calls $288 shows 6-6

I played this one bad and he played it perfect.
So ship it to me!!
