Hi all,
I am 25 years old and play live cash games in London.
Poker has been my only source of income for almost a year. I have never had a losing month (too nitty?).
Before this I had a junior role at a software development company.
I have really enjoyed reading the threads on here over the years and always wanted to make one but have been lazy.
2016 will be the year that I take poker seriously and give it my best shot to clime through the stakes.
I very rarely play tournaments but have been lucky to run good in the few i play. I have something like £30k tourney winnings.
Since the beginning of Jan I am up like £9k. Could have been a bit more if i didn't play £10/25/50/100 PLO in the vic last night
Everyone was doing £300 flips every half hour and I proceeded to brick every single time
(I sold 50% of all action and short stacked the game like a true nit.)
My main game is 1/2 PLO, 1/3 - 2/5 NL
Recently I have been playing tons of PLO dealers choice. (4/5/6 cards. 1 or 3 flops)
Short-mid term goals in poker and in life
- Make 2/5 PLO my main game (without selling)
- Drink less alcohol. I think this is a pretty big life leak for me.
- Study poker like i used to. When playing 2/5 NL+ I often realise i am not the best player on the table.. this tilts me
- keep relationships good and find time for friends / girlfriend / family
- Work out regularly and stay in shape.
- Be less negative mentally.
I went to Vegas last year during the series. Ran great in cash games but bricked every comp. I intend to go this summer so maybe I could post a cool trip report.
I will post some hands from the 10/25+ PLO I played yday. The game was so much fun and i think I had a decent edge short stacking because everyone was so deep and splashy.
