Hi Poker-Sis and -Bros

After being around here for some months, mostly for trades and the 888 thread, I guess its time to share my journey with you (or just talk / type to myself )

I am 47 (yes oooldd) and live in Salzburg / A with my 16 year old son.

I am playing poker since about 2011, for the first years I just punted off a lot of my good income I had from my own industry business (up to 70 ppl employed)

However, in 2012 my business and my marriage went "broke" and I was also broke.

From that on I took poker more serious, but in no way I was a pro.

In 2018 I ran up a nice bankroll from zero (!!!), starting with 888 freerolls. It peaked at 8k, but I started cashing out 1-2k per month as poker is now a big part of my income (just working part time as a barkeeper).

I am playing mostly on 888, some party and little stars.
I am up around 15k this year, mostly from 888, but also up on party and stars.
I had almost no loosing month this year.

My poker names are Lockerl71 (888 and ps) and Lockerl7199 (party)

My main game are regspeed nlhe mtts, some plo(8) mtts, hyper mtts and mtts sats.
My actual buy in range is 2-30.- and up to 200.- via sats.

My goal is to reach a steady 4k profit per month, that would be enough for a comfortable life for us in Austria.

My biggest problem now is needing to cash out (summer holidays with my son hit a big dent in my roll :/ ), now my roll is about 2k after being down to 350.- after the holidays ( we had way too much fun in the summer )

As for my interests other than poker, I love to party to techno and house, go to the gym, running and eating healthy / cooking.
My son is also already infected by the techno virus, so aside from poker I guess I will report also some of our party and festival adventures and maybe some workout routines.

So, If someone reads this, questions are highly welcome and complaints are better than no replies

First question - how can I edit the spelling in the title.....

Uuh Sunday grinds are exhausting, quite the up and down, in the end around break even, that leaves nothing than a headache

nice start:
- chopping a 12.- mtt on 888 for 295.-
- winning some 30.- to 100.- sats on 888 and party

horrible main session
- last weeks lost regularly mid stage chiplead pots in my biggest buy-ins with AA or KK all in pre, like yesterday kk<qq in the 88.- great 8

break even daysavers in the end
- crawled into the money in the 55.- monsoon on 888 with a funny lifesaving pot: me on the stonebubble in the bb with <4bb holding aq off, late open, sb big stack 3 bets, I call off .................. big stack shows j10off, my qj holds .......... spun the stack up itm to 15bb, then made a borderline call in the bb with 12 bb holding k7s, sb jammed on me, unluckily he showed kj - out (always feels bad calling off this spots marginal and running in a dominated hand, but at this stage with the flat payouts and the wide jamming range of the sb I am fine with my call)
- won an 11.- plo8 mtt on party for almost 400.-
- some more cashes on 888 (like so often last weeks ak<aj itm in a ft stack flip in the 16,5 big fish on 888 )

=> roll at 1.930.- (last cash out 700.- last month)

awful session yesterday, no luck in sats, mtts rotten............. cream on the top in the end ...... had two big stacks for bubble abuse, lost kk<A8s reshove and then bubbled, in the other AA<JJ reshove and mincashed only........ when will this end!!!!!!!!

holy crap, the last days were a massacre

running 100-300bb under ev both on 888 and party and getting 2-3 outered left an right on bubbles and ft bubbles ................. waaa

have to cut 12.- sats and reduce my buy-in to 12.- max

.... only good thing that happened - I missclick regged for a 22,- to 109.- sat on party (went for a 2,2 to 50 sat) and won it - now playing the 100k 109.- big bounty hunter on party - maybe somebody reads this and has a good word for me with the poker gods

meh - out of the 109

at least a cooler (kinda) and not suckout ..... Im at the point that even that makes me happy

- open with 50bb aks late
- bigstack on button 3 bets (table extremly soft, so I do not really expect a light 3 bet, but whatever - I have aks and 50bb late)
- sb shoves with 25bb
- I reshove
- button calls

- sb shows kk
- button shows qq

.... the board bricks - and I am out

holy fkn bs ......... always the same pattern .............. I build up a bubble stack in my biggest buy-in (which is down to a pathetic 15), loose a 2-3 outer in a huge flip, under 20bb I am carddead af, and then I bubble by loosing a 3 outer again (rarely a flip vs a pathetic hand) ........... waaaaaaaaaaa (today I tiltet after that for the first time in years and punted off a huge stack in another 15 vs a huge donk ((( )

- get 2 outered for chiplead pot on ft bubble and bust, in one mtt,
- get coolered button vs bb and 5th in a 6max ft after shorties double up 10x
- build stacks in next mtts
- loose all flips itm

fml - stonebubble of the 12.- rebuy on 888 (almost 40.- mincash) - 13 left, 12 pay, 2bb shorty on the button

I have a comfortable 30+ bb average stack, bigstack maniac opens hijack, chipleader maniac 3bets in the sb, I hold aq off - I know ICM (!!!!!!!), but 99 of 100 times a cold 4bet shove prints chips (its a clear 4bet shove or fold spot) and gets me a good stack position for the ft (huge difference if you have 20 or 40bb) .................... so I shove - sb snaps me off, shows aks and holds - I stonebubble with a 2bb stack on the table

*** - its so hard to switch back from mid to low-micro stakes ...... last 2 tables they always have it

got like 20+bb on the button - shortie with 5bb in the bb, 30bb stack in the sb, who shows 10perc 3bet (fairly aggressive)
- I minraise aj off to induce, sb snapshoves, I snapcall - he shows ak and I am out............ at higher stake my play is imo standard (except in extreme icm spots), but looks like at low-micros I should fold such spots, as most players get frozen when they have a deep run

its getting worse and worse, when I reach the money with a good stack, I loose every all in, flips, 70/30, 80/20 just call or shove on me - you will not loose

As for yesterday, things still going worse and my game is for sure deteriorating a bit (quite...) also.

Had 1 spot where I lost a big stack that I could have hero folded, and for the rest, still loosing all flips itm and bubbling a lot.

- 5 bucker, 2k guarantie, have a huge stack approaching the bubble, open 97s hj, button and bb call.
I flop a flush, c-bet small, button snapraises, I call, he bets turn and shoves river - I call off - he shows flopped nuts with ajs. Its hard to fold a flopped flush in the micros, but I had enough stats on him (extremely passive) that I could / should have folded latest on the river.

..... as I wrote - having problems adapting to small stakes, close to the money / ft ppl mostly only go bunkers with the nuts (except he has wild stats or you have no stats, you can call off lighter in doubt), so its often advisable to make hero folds even with the top of your range in those spots.

For now I want to stay unknown here, started a thread myself. I'll soon start streaming on twitch aswell, right after I took down the God of the Arena ME Tournament next Sunday.

lag opens late pos, sb reshoves 20bb with a 27.- (!!!!!!!) booty on his head, I iso with aq off - opener folds - sb shows aj off and binks the j on the turn
- I double up with aq>a7 to 30bb
- I open aks utg, get 3 bet from the bb, shove - he calls with aq off and binks 2 queens on the flop - game over

2 bucker on 888:
- itm as chipleader after abusing the bubble, open 99, 10bb shortie reshoves with 1010 and holds
- then I am carddead af, my 2nd shove with 10bb from the sb q4s runs into ak, out before the ft for peanuts

ft of a plo 3 bucker, 76perc on the flop in a hu chiplead pot are not enough, out early for miesly 13 bucks
