as promised some failed bluffs

1. "uii - right away one of my most idiotic punts"
i call the cr from a strong reg (we still ahead of his draws right? just fold ffs), call a small turn bet (same story as flop ffs) - river he suddenly snapchks ..... oh, we dont rly have bluffs here and regs usually just go for value on river face up (playing 10-20 tables early stage they are usually quite face up) ...... lets try to make him fold a small flush and shove ....... the only thing that made me feel less stupid for the hand was the fact that he tanked quite some time before calling off


2. "just loose fancy blocker plays vs random fish"
peeled light pre vs random (cause its a pko and i coverrr), call cbet 3 way, cr turn: to believable rep the nuts on river if i dont hit ....... and he cant push me off cause i have a nutblocker - right? ......... lol, nah - he snap ripps (wtf does he have there?) and we have to fold all our equity ffs


3. "always the coolers on the bubble" :P


4. "how to get lockers chips? just chk back a board that favors his range and let him blast off his junk" :P


5. "blockerlocker my chips into the abyss"
he bets 3 streets, I ship over his river bet and he snaps me off

I have to admit that my confidence is going through the roof these day (lets hope I wont fall hard, but I should be oldnexperienced enough to stay realistic).

I feel so comfortable at higher stakes, playing tons of 55s daily now, occasionally up to 200s. Im reshoving super aggressive, either short or as bigstack suited wheels and broadways go in even vs strong opens up to 40bb, especially in pkos. I float and take away so many 3 bet pots with bluffs (smth I didnt really do ever).

My most exciting hand lately: Villain was super agressive and I felt a timing tell, so I 5 bet shipped 120bb eff. on him (nearing the bubble, his range there are mostly raggy ax which is huge if kjs folds them out and he had an huge bounty) - he quite snapfolded:

I worked out the first time in almost 10 months! Publicly admitting it here and reminding me bout the beach season finally made me move my lazy ass.

Im gonna put myself out here and post weekly updates at least for the next couple of months, basically a "can I make a sexy beach biest out of this chainsmoking old nerd in 2 months" challenge

Easy first workout:
- one yoga "sun salutation" routine
- one set squats bodyweight 20 reps
- one set sidesteps bodyweight 10 reps each leg
- one set pullups (with leg help obv. :P ) 10 reps
- one set pushups (on knies obv. :P) 10 reps
- one set abdominal press 10 reps
- planck 10 sec one set

this is how we start (fotos always after workout to make me look less bad :P )

hi

workout today:

as my legs are a bit sour from yesterday, i did only upper-body.

2 months is short, i am super motivated this time (shout out to my discord boys for the laughs yesterday, really gave me a boost. so i will go the risky route and start with ONE-SET-HIT (high intensity training) methods right away (dont try that if you dont train for at least 6 months or have many years of muscle memory on your side). rest times in the beginning i will do by feel => hit the muscle group hard until its sour, then give min. 2 days rest.

routine:
- warmup / stretch: one yoga "sun salutation" routine
- lat / back / biceps:

- warmup: one easy set each 15-20 reps pull down undergrip & rowing undergrip
- HIT set: reverse pull ups full bodyweight 3x very slow + 8x pullups with leghelp + ca. 10 each pull down undergrip + row undergrip + pull down overgrip (all close to muscle failure..... full failure would still be too dangerous), everything without break

- chest / shoulder / triceps / belly:

- warmup: one set each 15 reps easy chestpress over-/undergrip
- HIT: 3 sets pushup full body weight without break and slow negative rep after failure ca. 7/4/2 reps, bodyweigt triceps push same ca. 7/4/2, lower weight (ca. 10 reps) each chestpress over-/undergrip, light weight ca. 10 reps shoulder press and sidelift, 2x plank 30s+ ...... whole routine without break (fk me my hands are shaking i can hardly type this )

now a whey protein shake and some carbs drinks - mbe beer, but rather not before the grind (hence also no hard food that makes me tired)

talking muscle memory, why i take the risk of going (almost) full intensity right away: a foto from my 20ies. like this+ i looked every 3-5 years my whole life, with hard partying & smoking phases in-between :P

had my 1to1 coaching session today with my crazy hard working theory / math wizardcoach => bvb 1st in, for sure one of the weakest parts of my game still


my rough workout plan for the next 8 weeks:

bulking / building phase (6 weeks): high protein + carb. + unsaturated fat diet

HIT week 1 - 6: HIT session (short) every muscle group 2x per week (mbe 3x the first two weeks still where the intensity is still limited), going down to mbe 1x per week (if i manage to ramp up the intensity to real Intensity techniques) with no / little splitting in the beginning, up to mbe 3-split (legs, back-lat-bizeps, chest-should-triceps) in the end.

Cardio week 1-6: 1-2 h low intensity on every day off, starting with power-walks combined with stair climbs with the goal to manage slow running for 1h+ at week 6 with little effort and no pain, and some swimming.


Cutting phase (week 7-8): medium protein, low carb, low fat diet (with one high carb. cheat day per week)

Muscle training week 7-8: 2x per week full body workouts with lower intensity and more sets and repetitions.

Cardio week 7-8:
3x per week: 1-2h+ (smts prob. even more) low intensity running / hiking / stairs / swimming
2x per week: 1-2h higher intensity running / stairs


today i did cardio: 1h hour powerwalking & stairs through 3 of Rijekas city beaches







after that I treated myself with an adriatic seafood carpaccio / salat and 2 small beers at on of my fav. places in Rijeka

Poker:
- down 600.- last days
but:
- I made day 2 ind the 50.- wpt 2#25 super50 deepstack 300k on party with a huge stack (100bb), day 2 on may 31st.

Workout:

Did only legs today as my upper body is still sour af ( ):
- yoga / leg stretching (im stiff af and need to get flexible to make proper deep squats)
- warmup: 20 easy squads
- 1 superset : split squad 5 each side (slow & deep), deep squads 10-15 (sloww), normal squads 15 (faster), leg extension maschine 8, plank 2x (60 & 30 sec ca) .... no breaks between

as the intensity of my leg workout is still quite low (nowhere near to muscle failure not to hurt myself with my chicken legs), I did stairs afterwards.

up to the top of the tower of Trsat castle (601 steps):

obligate treat at the gorgeous bar in the castle:



now some whey protein, coffee and on to the grind

poker:
big day today, gonna play a 320.- and 215.- on party (tickets i won) and generally high abi the rest (bout 40.-)

workout:
my arms and back still quite sour, so chest / shoulder / triceps it was
- yoga / stretching
- warmupset: easy benchpress 15x
- hit:
- push ups 8+4 (failure) plus 4 negative reps and 8/4 on knees (no break) - short
break
- triceps bench press 8+4 (failure) and 8+4 with angled legs (no break)
- shoulder press 12+8 and 8+4 red. weight, each to failure, no breaks
- shoulder side raises approx. (dont remember - pain ) 12+8 and 8+4 red. weight,
each to failure, no breaks
- 2 planks 30s, that felt like an eternity ffs - paiiinnn

mammamia sunday was mindbendingly awful
the amount of insane coolers and bad beats uncountable (vs sets with top pair+, topfull < quads, run into aa with jj+) and the worst, that hands not holding itm on the way to a deep run.

7 days graph: it shows -2k from my last highpoint, but im -1,3k in fact (had 700.- of tickets i won in a promo)


=> day two in the super50 today better be gooodd ffs ��

workout:

backlegs still sour, so lat/back/biceps it was

- yoga stretching (legs a looot)
- warmup set: pull downs easy 20-25
- hit: pull ups negative (sloooww) 5x, pull ups with leg help 6x(sloww), pull downs 12+6+6+6 different grips (most pull ups / downs i do with undergrip to have max power and work biceps the most), standing rowing 10x, all in one go, no planks today (abdominals sour)

session was short, so i will go for a powerwalk + stairs + swim at the city beaches now
