Have not updated for a while, not playing a lot. Doing a lot of homework before the exams, that stuff. Have put together a nice SCOOP schedule which I'm looking forward to very much. Will post link to package when I'm done. Hope you all are doing well!

Sup guys that still reads this. Have not been playing a lot lately with exams and stuff going on. Got back to a real grind today, played 4k+ hands at zoom. Played pretty decent, ran a bit bad in some multiway get-ins. Anyway, as Jeans said, EV is the most important thing. Pretty fun that the Scoop-package I put together got sold out in 30mins, gives me a lot of motivation. Looking forward to get a big score!

It was such a solid thread. Underground live poker, trading, weird games. Nutz

So I stumbled upon this thread yesterday while doing a throwback monday or something.

I have not been active on 2+2 since I stopped writing in this thread, mainly due to IRL stuff and trying to take a step back from poker.

For me, alot has happened since I last updated.

Cliffs:

- Bought that apartment, in the city where my fulltime job is. Enjoying it very much.
- Got a dog (black labrador).
- Still together with the GF (5 years now).
- I think maybe 6 months after this thread stopped, a friend of mine opened a private club which had some crazy action 2 times a week. On Wednesdays we usually played 1/2/4 USD PLO, with no max buyin. On Fridays we played 2/4/8 USD, with the straddles being insane and stacks 500-2000bbs deep. The game consisted of myself and two semi-active grinders + 10-15 different recs. Needless to say it was a good game, it ran for almost 2 years and I did very good for myself. Thinking about doing a lengthy write-up about this game, with some pictures from the game and some HHs.
- Playing a decent volume on PS and PP. YTD this is the second best year I ever had online (poker is dead, RIP Doyle).

So basically, im considering rewamping this thread if there is still people enjoying this kind of "blogs". Holla at me.

Take care guys.

Just read the full thing even though I don't even play PLO

Glad to see you're back and thinking about starting up again rather than a random bump. Definitely keen to see more updates, really nice feel and pace to it before with a good mix of irl stuff and poker stuff.

What stakes are you playing now? Thoughts on the Jeans coaching 3 years later?

Hey man! Good to hear, nice to have you here.

Online I mainly play PLO100 and PLO200 on PartyPoker (all my cashgame play is there) and for tournaments basically 22$ to 530$. I primarily play PLO MTTs, but often fill up with some NL MTTs on the side when I feel like it/have space.

I guess I did not mention it in the last post, I have become an avid sportsbetter since the last time, or atleast I follow a guy who runs a small group where he posts his picks for soccermatches (He is a full time bettor). I was super skeptical at first, why would a winning bettor share his bets and potentially drive the odds down? Because he had a lot of good referances, I decided to pay the monthly fee and try it out. During the 4 months I have followed him, I have made about 7-8K USD. Pretty fun to have a sweat on the matches I was watching anyways.

I have also started watching UFC, which I find pretty interesting. As Ryan Hall said in an interview after his win vs Darren Elkins, there is a lot money to be made as its a pretty new sport considering, and some of the lines are pretty far off. Below is two pretty fun Accas that went in the last month or so.

Some the fighters I like to watch is Wonderboy, Ryan Hall, Zabit, Cody, Korean Zombie, Masvidal and Holloway.

Since the last post yesterday I actually went on a pretty big heater, thanks 2+2 rungood. I finaltabled many of the daily PLO MTTs aswell as some NLs,for maybe 1200$ profit. Will get back to post hands and stuff as I get back to the updating here.

This hand kinda took the wind out of me. I usually dont play to many NL MTTs as I mentioned, but some of the daily big GTDs are pretty fun. He opened a bit over 4x pre, and I just decided to jam it in there. This was for a 280$ bounty aswell as a decent stack.

Going out to eat now, then meet up with a friend to watch some of the UCL qualifiers. Lets go BATE Borisov (My bookmaker told me to bet alot on them today )

Hehe, It was a fun thing to invest in, it taught me a lot big important lessons which I still use to this day. Maybe in hindsight it was a bit steep, but I usually dont dwell on these kinda things.

Funny thing is that he works in finance aswell as me now, so maybe I can teach him a thing or two this time around

Hey guys,

Small update from me.

- Lost a bunch on sportsbetting, had a pretty big 3x ACCA that busted in the last game, which had the lowest odds.. Kinda sucks, but nothing I cant handle.

- Going back to work on monday from summerbreak, not sure what I feel about that yet.

- Got invited to a BIG game this evening, dealers choice. The stakes the last time was allegedly 2-5-10-20 US. GL me.

gl in the big game tonight

So decided not to play the livegame, two of the recs the game run around decided they were not gonna play after all. I went out instead, had a few drinks and some food (there is a local food festival going on right now). I actually met the recs in the city, which was fun. Always nice to meet people you have played alot with outside the pokertable.

In the middle of a big sunday grind now, have three nice stacks in a 55 and two 109s.

Watched UFC on replay this morning, very mediocre card imo. BUT, not so boring its not good for anything

Thanks man, really enjoyed your thread aswell.

Been very sloppy with the updates, but getting back to the worklife after the summer is always hard and draining. Good upswing the times I have played the last two weeks, but not really a good volume (which I predicted would happen).

So nice with the Premier League being back again, love the early Saturdays and Sundays with betting and playing. Boring UFC card this weekend, but the results were good.

Rooting for Manchester United and Solskjær to beat Chelsea today, really excited to see how they perform.

Until next time!

Until next time![/QUOTE]

Until next time was a year and change as usual... I am obviously far removed from the pokerworld at this time, but on a weekly basis my thoughts drifts back to the good old days with poker, 2+2 and this thread. I miss it in some ways, and I dont miss it in some other ways.

I am writing this on a rainy Sunday morning after walking my dog and making a good pot of coffee. I really appreciate these days with freedom where I can do whatever I want for a couple of hours. As I mentioned earlier, I have a really exciting and time-consuming job in finance, more specifically private-banking. Sure, the pay is good and I am super lucky to have a pretty stable job taking the current situation into consideration. But you guys reading this, if you are still grinding in the poker-streets, or are like me, should really appreciate the time "we" spent playing poker and having that freedom. Of course, the month-long downswings where you started worrying about your financial situation was almost traumatic looking back, but the most of us came through that time after time, and even managed to book some nice winning year(s).

These things and situations we experienced during our poker "careers", can be VERY adaptable to the real life, especially managing risk and work through longer periods of variance. I will end this post with a example of my daily life at work:

I started working in a wealthmanaging firm (probably butchered that word), about 4 years ago. The first 1 and a half year I "competed" with 15 other econ-students, and our only job was to contact high net-worth individuals and convincing them to meet us for a talk. We would book this meetings to four senior-partners and also the managing partner (who was also one of founders). After some months, if you did good, you could start joining these meetings and have maybe 2-5 minutes of speaking-time. We were measured in how many people we brought in every quarter, and how much these people invested. The firm managed about 1BN USD at that time, and the clients usually invested between 200K USD and 15M USD+.

The competition between us (the econ-stundents) was pretty cutthroat, but NOTHING compared to poker. It was a common understanding that between the 15 of us, 2-3 would get a job after the studies was done. I thrived in this competitive environment, this time changing "grinding hours" with spending hours reading up on the firms investment strategies and getting very deep into the macro-trends. I always had a small anxiety of being put on the spot by one of the potencial clients, and that helped a lot the gain a lot of knowledge.

A long story short, after the 1 1/2 years as a "trainee", I crushed my peers, and got the full time job. I soon after that bought the apartment which I still live in, living here with my dog and the same GF (<3). I now work in a team with the managing partner of the firm, and we are one of the top 3 grossing teams in our entire firm. Now the firm manages 10BN USD+ across Scandinavia and are as competitive as ever. I can 100% say I would never get this far, or get this opportunity, if it wasnt for poker. A small correlation can be seen with the corona-pandemic. Our portifolio dropped 21% from top to bottom (which is not bad compared to the MSCI WORLD), but that ment that many our clients lost many millions on paper for a short time. I lost alot of my money aswell, as I have 85% of my investments through the firm. This affected me maybe 25% compared to my co-workers. Instead of dwelling on these short-time losses, I used alot of my time at work having Team and Zoom-meetings, talking with clients and explaining what our strategy was during this "swings" (rebalancing). This helped our team to not lose the clients we have worked so hard to get, and even strengthen the relationship we have with them. Many other PB (private-bankers) did not even call their clients during the feb-march drop, and that has been a gift to us.

That was probably super messy and disorganized, but I just wanted to tell everybody that might be reading this, that no matter how your pokercareer is going or went, there is a lot of things to be grateful for. I miss the pokerz on a weekly basis and I miss the people in it. Much love guys. Today I will sportbet on the Premier League, and play 2-4 MTTS.

I will try to tell one story/hand every day this week from this crazy game. I have a lot of pictures, videos, chipstacks and HHs from this you all will like. The game ran every Tuesday and Friday two years, it must be one of the most +EV games in terms of ev/bb ever.

Teaser: I have a video where the VIP asks for a 15k reload playing 2/5 PLO (30BIs), ends up losing the stack in like 15 minutes, asks who he should pay. I say that im up a lot, and probably will be leaving in 30-60 minutes. He pulls up a napkin from the bar-table, and asks me for my bank account #. Me, knowing he is good for the money, give him the details. He throws 7-8K on the table in cash, and tells me "you will have the money in your account on Monday".

Sure enough, come Monday morning, there is a transfer for 7K visible in my account. On my way to work (I commuted at that time, 40 mins with car), I had the biggest grin thinking about he said "I raise you all-in" when I had AA25 on 273A2 board.

Those were the days guys... See you tomorrow

Ok, this is the first hand/story I will tell the next couple of days. I remember this vividly, almost like it was yesterday. This hand was maybe 2-3 months into the game. What was special about this time period, is that people had just began playing big volume on the pokerrrr2 app. If you are not familiar with these apps, its pretty much a app that was made for playmoney and the gameplay is just like any other plattform, maybe a bit worse on the interface. Anyway, certain underground clubs began hosting regular games on here, with real money. You would get invited to a telegram-group, and you had to "deposit" money like an insurance. Every sunday they "counted" up the wins and losses, and people settled this with cash or Stars-transfers.

So this led to alot of people putting in alot of volume outside the "VIP-game". In this specific game (the VIP-game) we were 7-handed, and playing 1-2-4 USD PLO, very deep. The villian is a strange guy who always bragged about how much he was winning on the app, but me and many of the other people knew he owed alot of money, and was lying about his results. This hand starts with him being 1.2K USD deep, and me covering with a stack of maybe 1.5K. He opens the cutoff for pot (15 USD), and me 3-betting on the button for pot (52 USD). The blinds fold, and its back to him. He is very loose-agressive, and considered by me as a semi-smart punter. Anyway, he 4-bets pot back to me, for something like 163 USD. I have AA108ss and elect to mix it up with a call. At this point everybody around the table gets a bit quiet, because its not that normal with deep 4-bet pots, even though the game plays pretty big. You will usually see alot of 3-betting and flat calls with multiple callers.

The flop comes 37Jssx, with my nut-flush draw and a gutter. This is a 9/10 flop for action, and sure enough he pots right into me for around 330USD. This is a pretty standard raise for me, not seeing any value in slowplaying my big hand. I pause for maybe 30 seconds, and push all my big chips (100USD chips) into the middle. He snapcalls, and my heart is semi-racing. I ask him if he want to do it more than one time, I dont really have a strong opinion on either. He wants to see my hand first, and I tell him he has to decide before. He elects two times, I agree. Were of to the races for a 2.5K USD pot.

Villian has KJ52ds, with the king-high FD. Nice, I`m in great shape here. First board runs out Ko and 2o. He win the first with two pair...

Next turn is the 2s, we both make the flush. The river is the J, he makes a boat and celebrate like a mad man.

Im pretty steamy right about now, and ask for a 2.5K reload. Its one of my best friends running the game along with another guy, and they know I`m good for it. 25x100USD chips in hand. They give me the "are you sure about this" look, and I dont think twice about it.

The next story I will tell will include some pictures of the actual poker-club and a live chipstack, to try to set the scene for you guys reading this.

To be continued..

Keep posting!

Whats up guys.

Some very exciting news. First of all, I dont think I mentioned this last time. I have spent the last three months working on getting my official certificate as a wealth manager. It it basically a three-part course. One test with 120 questions, a etichal test and last (and maybe the hardest) a 3,5 hour meeting/quiz with the people handing out the certificates. You have three tries, and luckily I managed to do it with my first try! I will go more in detail on how I studied for this.

We and my girlfriend booked a hotel room + spa the following weekend to celebrate, which was nice. My car (a cheap Volvo) broke down just as we arrived, which sucks and will cost me 2.5K in repairs...

On work there is a lot of volume lately, mainly due to the last weeks volatility. I have reloaded my Stars-account with ca 5K to play with during the weekends. Made some deepruns the first weekend back, which was nice.

Tonight I am gonna watch some soccer, really enjoyed Manchester Uniteds 5-0 win yesterday. Until next time, take care <3

So, as expected I would not manage to post so frequently as I wished. A mixture between busy month at work, and not much happening poker-wise. I made 15K betting on the US-election. Big action on Biden winning the whole thing + winning Georgia. So a pretty big sweat, but nice to bink it.

Will play alot this weekend, both betting and poker. I will updates you guys very soon, alot of things happening ( in a good way).

So long guys!

Hello, is anybody out there?

So, me "finally" met some variance in the gambling realm. After what feels like a 8-year upswing (ofcoure I have had the occasional bad month), I hit a bit of a rough patch in December/January. This is in sportsbetting, but nothing I cant handle. As most sportsbettors do, I use a Unit-system to size my bets and bankroll. When I was crushing PLO on the regularly, it was easy to allocate 1-2K to my betting bankroll just to keep the action going.

A small timeline is something like this: After hovering around 1-5K betting bankroll, I hit an insane heater last year betting on soccer/basketball and a big splash on the US election. I had at one point a 35K bankroll across 3 betting sites, finding bets on my own and being a member of 2 VIP-groups with proven winners.

After the big wins in November, i blasted pretty hard in December and January. It went pretty bad, and I will write a post about my feelings/actions during this time, and how I turned it around (spoiler).

In the "normal" life, I still work pretty long hours. The money is really good, and I just got offered equity in my firm, which is a big sign for a future partnership I hope.

I will come back with a couple of posts this weekend, and I would also love to get engaged is some discussions/questions if you have any

Much love guys.

So I am in a very interesting spot right now, work going very well, aswell as sportsbetting (small stakes). Poker is solid, I sometimes grind out those cashback bonuses on PS, nice of them to finally give some back...

I was wondering purchasing a house, and selling my apartment. Me and the girl are still together going strong, probably taking the "getting-a-child" discussion very serious very soon (her wishes, im more and more open to it).

I have 3 houses in mind, are you guys interested in seeing any photos? LMK
