I've seen fish ship rivers in these spots with 22-10's many times after turn goes check check, especially when they are short stacked. We play in different pools but generally the short stacks are anxious to get it in with whatever random air and almost always with pairs when shown weakness. If I bet here against my pool I'm getting folds 95% of the time regardless of sizing. The other 5% is a queen or an ace, which I'm going to get on the river regardless

I feel like if the fish is spastic enough to overjam riv with 66 then they are also very likely to call the turn 1/3 bet and just simply spaz donk overjam the river anyway.

Certainly the fish spaz out a lot. But frequencies are pretty important and I don't see why its way more likely they over jam riv after I x back compared to calling turn again and just donk over jamming - both scenarios seem almost equal to me, with the riv overjams maybe being slightly higher frequencies than call turn + riv donk overjam.

anyway My flu seems to be ending? Haven't grinded for a few days but did get 20 pages of meticulous analysis finished on the 10 most interesting hands my coach found from our first 2 sessions.

Let's just say, no matter how hard I tried to prove him incorrect, it turns out he was right 8 out of 10 times and 1 time it was kind of w/e (same EV) and 1 time I'm pretty sure my line is best.

So I guess I'm 1 for 10 with a statistical tie. But maybe I shouldn't award myself any points because that one time I think I was correct maybe was just random dumb luck lol

I gotta do better in the future. Some of those spots were embarrassing as hell and he really laid into me lol

December week 1 summary. I'll get a few more videos up this week when I'm feeling 100% again.

+$650 this week in profits in a about 2,500 hands. Bad week for volume but hey I made up for it.
+$900 total profits in a little under 13k hands.

Going to be 4 tabling regular tables until I show a positive winrate at 200NL perhaps - My coach and I are both 1,000% on board with 4 tabling regular and getting me to think critically every. single. decision.

I will learn much faster this way and volume is of no concern to either of us. Once he sees me putting in the work and improving then I will be aggressively shotting 200NL, most likely starting the 1st week of January but that probably depends on how I run at 100NL the next 3 weeks.

I really like this path forward. It's exactly what I need.

HUGE UPDATE EVERYONE

So my monthly budget has been $200/month for 2 months now. I have an extremely high degree of confidence that I can raise this slightly.

Daily food costs will go from $40 to $60 a month
Entertainment costs will go from $25 to $40 a month
I will give $15 to a friend to clean my room 2x a month and do laundry
I will pay $20 a month for taxi costs to get to school on the weekends

So that's an increase of $60.

My monthly budget will go from $200/month to $260/month and I will be able to enjoy myself more. The cleaning and the taxi are both +EV because I have more time to grind/study and a perfectly clean room is always +EV. It is also +EV to pay for taxi rides because some of these blind corners are scary as hell when cars come zipping around them with bright Chiang Mai sun in their eyes.

I will update budget again starting January 1st - the next thing I want is to join a Muay Thai Gym which will add $40/month more for extra food costs and bulk class purchase.

There it is, the end of my HUGE UPDATE

By the way if you an American citizen, vote for Andrew Yang in the Democratic primary. I like Yang, Bernie and Tulsi Gabbard the most.

Andrew Yang wants to give everyone $1,000 a month paid for by VAT on rich businesses. And by making tech companies pay us for using our personal data. Data is worth more than oil now studies show and we should be getting that money.

He has a vision for human centered capitalism. Imagine stay at home mothers, college students and homeless people all receiving $1,000 a month no questions asked.

Check him out, it's coming close to election time so I'm putting in this plug for him. He's the real deal. I'll link his Joe Rogan podcast below. It has 4.5 million views now.

Also I won $1,000 last 3 sessions, so it's $1,400 total so far over 14k hands. 10bb so far but 14k hand sample is really quite pointless to even mention.

Not to mention he wants to legalise online poker!

Sick heater. Your volume isn't bad at all, considering you've been sick and the action is super slow 4 tabling Ignition.

Subbed. Love reading these! GL with everything.
I was only in Chaing Mai for a few months but if you ever head down to Phuket I got some good food spots for you to hit up.

So I am once again offering to coach a player for $50/month. I'm only accepting 1 student. PM me if interested. And again I have 10 years of private teaching experience in other fields. I ran a private piano studio for 10 years in America with nice success.

Contrary to what anyone else says I feel that extra value in immersing myself in the poker world and learning to explain concepts in simple terms will help my own understanding of poker as well.

I also just like to coach poker. I have a few poker friends that like to come to me when they are running bad or feel like they are making **** decisions and I will immediately offer to jump into a skype session and to check their mindset and recent HH. And it feels great at the end because they get to vent and I get to help them out as best I can.

You can go your own path if you want. But imagine in 3 more months, getting coaching every week from an elite player, my understanding of the game will already be more advanced than I currently am and $50/month is a ****ing steal.

Someone who uses HM2 or H2N is preferable over Poker Tracker. I have extensive experience with both.

Hello,

I am very interested in this! I am a long time lurker and have been playing for years. Unfortunately I am a losing player and in need of some guidance. I have a strong work ethic and I believe strongly that if someone could spend some time going over some questionable hands that I could eventually become a winning player. I would be willing to pay double that. I cannot PM due to lack of posts. Is there anyway I could e-mail you or you e-mail me ? I could send you my statistics and what not as well. Valuekill224@gmail.com is my e-mail address. Thanks and sorry for not following the directions as stated.

even though your email address looks a little spammy, I sent to you my Skype screen name lol

If you wanna pay double, I will accept and will just offer you a little more of my time. But the most important thing is the student accepting the relationship and understanding I would rather certain conditions be met rather than just accepting more money.

1.) Show a real seriousness to improve
2.) Discipline to grind and complete HW assignments
3.) 100% transparency and to start your own PGC thread as well
4.) Daily interaction in Skype posting 1 HH a day and asking some questions
5.) Making poker your main life hobby outside of your work

So if anyone else is interested in, I'll happily talk to you while I vet the 3 or 4 inquiries I already received.

I'm looking more for a stress free and mutually beneficial relationship than the money. Because the money is not important right now considering the contract with my new coach is starting off fantastically.

Best thread to follow in 2020.

I’m waiting for those degen stories, especially the Pataya Arc.

OP needs to make a new thread in 2020 titled "degenning on a budget" and only post trip reports of him fingering Thai sloots on $200/month!
