Haha thanks. I definitely have a tendency to think the sky is falling if an acorn lands on my head. Call me Ricken Little. Been keeping track of my hours since the beginning of the year. Averaging 41 hours/week including about a month of me sitting on my ass playing PUBG. I'm pretty much breakeven this year though which ain't good and I've been spending money too easily. I need to get a job or figure out how to play better fast. My situation is untenable at the moment.

The battery for my camera is broke otherwise I would have made a new vlog by now. Gonna buy a new one and make some vlogs coming up.

Should be rampin it up to 50-60 hours a week, lol aint like you got a wife and or kids or something else that you have to invest a ton of your time in right? You live/ play in LA so you easily have the ability to game select hard and find games your gonna make a nice hourly in. Next time you have a winning session of a few hundo or more look into getting a coaching session or joining a training site since you aspire to improve, you should always be looking to improve regardless of how well things are going. You've stated numerous times in this thread how you wanna smoke less weed. I like to smoke as much as anyone but in your case maybe you should only smoke when you're done grinding for the day, weed can definitely be a demotivator to some as we all know, especially if you're smoking alot. Some can play their A game on it but i suspect most can't, this may be inhibiting your thought process at the tables and your game overall. Just thrown some s*&t out there man, hope things start turning around for you soon on the felt, GL!!!!

Last hand of the night I limp in UTG (seat 8) with 33. The aggro eastern Euro reg (seat 9) bets 50, I mean this guy is lighting money on fire. Folds to the SB (seat 6) who announces raise to 200. He's 1500 behind waiting for chips (David from LATB). The BB (seat 7) fun player folds and I show him my 33 because he's showed me a hand and folded and he's also doubled up with 33 earlier. He's having fun and here to gamble. Aggro eastern euro asks the dealer to see my cards because he says they flashed to seat 6. BS. They didn't flash. I even ask seat 6 if he saw my hand and he says no. But the dude is still angling to see my cards. Eventually the dealer exposes the wrong cards, seat 7's hand. And he's like "Hey Wtf!". My hand never gets revealed lol. In hindsight I should have told them not to expose my cards until after the flop since seat 6 couldn't have seen it before he made it 200 seat 9 shouldn't have that information before he makes his preflop action. A floorman would probably agree. But this angling POS. Maybe he doesn't think it's bad, but it is. Seat 6 says he didn't see the hand, that should be the end of it imo. I say "He wants to see the whole flop before he decides to call 200 or not". The flop comes Kxx with two hearts and seat 7 had K2hh. Aggro-tard fires 300 on the flop when checked to. Call. Turn heart. Ouch seat 7. Check check. River check check. Seat 6 shows QQ and seat 9 is mucking face down but seat 6 tells the dealer "I want to see that hand". I can't help but grin. Dealer flips over AQ, thus confirming that he was almost certainly angling to see if I had folded his outs or something. After the hand seat 9 tells me to not show my hand or something like that to which I reply "**** you, don't tell me what to do. If you have a problem with something I did, call the floorman." And instead of posting the big blind I just racked up and left because it was about that time of the night anyways. I felt like I could have handled that situation a whole lot better. What we have here is failure to communicate.

Word thanks for the advice, I'm absorbing it. I need to get my ass to the casino when I'm holed up at my grandmas house. I'm averaging 60 hours a week when I'm not catsitting, jerking off and playing PUBG all day. When I'm doing that I'm averaging zero. Cause when I wake up in my van I can't think of much else to do beside go to the casino and gamble. I do like hanging out and talking to people. That's always a pleasant thing to do. Yesterday I was sitting drinking coffee outside when an older couple came over and sat next to me with their two beautiful golden retrievers. Pretty much the best dog possible. I'm pretty sure the dogs saw me and thought, is that dude related to us? I've got the same golden hair as them. Gave them some good loving. I love petting animals. I'm pretty sure the animals enjoy it too. The lady said I had a magic touch. The secret is you gotta enjoy doing it. If I wasn't so committed to poker I would be a dog masseuse.

I saw an interesting hand a couple of days ago. The board was 3464Q by the river and the pot was ~$200. There was a $100 bet on the river by a fun player and then a $300 raise. The fun player eventually calls and is shown A5dd. He misreads the hand thinking there is a straight and folds AQ. Then the young player next to him points out to him that he only has ace high and not a straight. The cards are in the muck. If I was him I'd call the floor over anyways. You never know. Anyway the dude who pointed out he folded the winner displayed terrible awareness and etiquette. The fun player would later go onto to wish for him to get a bad beat, he wasn't happy. Essentially he just embarrassed him. The player who won the hand is a reg who I'm 99% sure reads this thread. Here's what you did wrong. You lied about your intentions after the hand! You clearly turned your cards over with a sort of flourish with the hopes of getting your opponent to misread your hand and get him to fold better. There is nothing wrong with that. But then after the hand another player sort of insinuated that it was wrong trying to get your opponent to fold the best hand and you started to say that you turned your cards over with a flourish because you "missed". Bull ****! Man up! Stand by your actions or change your behavior. Don't be wishywashy and flimsy in the face of the smallest opposition. I know what happened. You've said before on another day that you always turn your cards over hoping your opponent folds the winner . I should have called you out at the table. Lying makes my blood boil. Basically you must think you're smarter than everyone to have tried to pull that one over us. You don't realize I'm at the table and can attribute comments you've made on different days to this situation and know that what came out of your mouth was bullcrap. I didn't like it. But I'll just give you a pass on being an awkward guy. Don't underestimate me and try to pass off any other lies or BS at the table though buddy, you're getting called out in the future. Also, terrible bluff. Amount is too small and you're trying to bluff the wrong guy. Get better.

The other thing that bothered me to no end about the hand was the other players incessantly talking about it afterwards for 30 minutes or more. From the player who first pointed out that he folded the winner to the player who won the hand. SHUT UP! I quite literally had to SHUSH them MULTIPLE TIMES!!!!! Not just one "Shhhhhhhhh". I mean jesus christ guys learn some ****ing human decency. Learn some etiquette. If the guy who lost wants to talk about it then fine. Humor him and say everyone's makes mistakes and try to change the subject. But these guys kept on, and kept on and kept on talking about how this guy folded the winning hand and none of them had ever seen that. Shut up!!!! "SHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!". OMFG. Some real awkward ass mother ****ers populate these cash games. Try to imagine being the other guy for half a second. DOes nobody do that? Are you guys all walking around like other people are NPCs? WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!?!????

I went out to lunch yesterday with my mom and grandma at CSUDH. My mom graduated there ten years ago and my grandma in 2012 and they wanted to walk around the campus and reminisce so I joined them. Good times.

Word. A player told me the other day that I take losses well. I should, I've got a lot of practice at it. And in those experiences I've found that after I've bluffed off all my chips or done something equally stupid I don't like to hear other players be like "Oh wow great call" to the other player. For 30 minutes. Come on guys. Just talking about poker at the poker table is pretty lame in general.

This is a little ambiguous since you say you're not ever open folding, and then you say you'd open fold. But you shouldn't be open folding AQ w/ 16bb and little to no ICM pressure. Open shoving, sure, but never open folding.

Played well yesterday in my opinion. Lost a big pot with AA vs a flopped set.
No biggie.

Ahh yes it is thanks. I mean that I would never raise UTG then fold in that spot. I would just fold AQ utg without raising. Had about ~23bbs in that spot.

Your daily swings are much closer to optimal given your roll, no more 4 figure daily swings.

Hmm, might have to buy out of my "Rich goes busto" prop bet.

I'm a nit. I play the most variance free form of poker. If I got it I bet, if not I fold. Trying to put in more hours and plug my leaks fold more preflop. I'll move down to the $200 3/5 game and completely nit it up before I go busto.

I’ll do my best today for you guys, but I’ve never rick tilt. Rick, you at the casino yet?

Also lol at the story about folding the winner. For sure those guys have folded winners before, either they’re lying or they didn’t notice. I’ve folded a winner and a chop before. The chop sucked because I realized it right as the cards left my hand, but I threw them into the muck

Open folding AQ utg at pretty much any stack depth, assuming no ICM pressure, is going to be -ev. Also you could r/f AQ if you're facing a shove from a tight player although obviously in a lot of spots you'd just have to call it off with a <20bb stack.

I'm nearby. Gonna be playing in a minute after I drink this coffee. I'll see you there. I've maybe folded winners and never realized. Who knows right? Phil Ivey folded the winning hand for a 2million chip pot late in the WSOP ME. Wouldn't have known unless it was televised.

We were in the money so there was some ICM pressure. Raise call it off with 16bb stack is suicide from UTG with AQ in my opinion.

Right, that's why my initial reply was saying that in that spot a shove is far better than a fold. You replied saying something about a 23bb stack, which is why I said you could raise/decide depending on the player. But either way I think open folding AQ is way too tight and is going to lose money, especially in a $150 where people aren't going to be punishing you very often.

It was a Day 2 $3700 tourney. I had Phil Laak and Daniel Strelitz at my table. Other tourney pros I could not name. Field was pretty solid.

Raise folding AQ is terrible when a lot of the time people are jamming any pair. Jam or fold pre.

I agree with you. I was under the impression that this was a $150 buy in liveament, and in those the average player isn't 3b jamming correctly, so it's possible to make an expo fold. With 16bb you pretty much have to jam AQ pre. With 23 you have more flexibility. I still don't think anyone should be open folding AQ pre but this probably isn't really the place for arguing over mtt strat.

Played for a few hours and won a little bit. Said hello to tgiggity on my way out.

The 420 Bluff

Hero CO (~$1500) 22
Villain UTG+1 (covers) ?? the Eastern Euro? reg from a few days ago who asked to see my hand.

Villain opens to 35, we call and the big blind calls.

Flop ($105) 865hhx

Everyone checks.

Turn ($105) Qx

BB checks, villain bets 40 and I think "Fk this guy." Raise to 160. BB folds, villain calls.

River ($425) Kx

Villain checks and after thinking for 30 secs or so I figure as much as I would hate to make a mistake against this guy so would he. I'm gambling with my emotions in this pot. Bet 420. No one ever bluffs when they bet 420. Except this time. Villain thinks for a few minutes and finally folds. My line is pretty fishy but our tight image and psycho meta got it through. 420 Bluff!!! Blaze it!

Wrong thread buddy but thanks. Living out of a van everyday I wake up wishing I was in a penthouse suite with a beautiful naked woman next to me.

Actually I feel pretty satisfied. Wake up and worship the sun. Went on a hike at Griffith Park this morning and it is teeming with life. Saw the crane again. So many birds and everything is in full bloom. Got my battery I think I'll bring my camera on a hike tomorrow.

I get to the Coffee Bean and go outside with my coffee and notice a rolly poly is on its back kicking its legs on the concrete in the sun and I feel the sense of urgency. Grab a leaf and pick him up with it and return him to the shady underside of a bush. It's ok guys, you can say it. I'm a hero.

Wake up this morning, smoke a bowl and go into the casino to take a **** as per usual and after I get back into my van, security is knocking on my door. Wtf? What's up dude? He tells me I can't hang out in my van and I can't smoke marijuana in the parking lot. I say ok. But I'm thinking he didn't add an "or else" or anything like that so his threat has no teeth. I ain't scurred. Gonna keep blazing and hanging out! Anyway five minutes later the overweight and out of shape security guard comes back to harass me some more. I show him my platinum player card and tell him I play here all the time which elicits a smug smile and him repeating the same stupid rules. Which don't really apply to me let's be honest. I'm raking hundreds of dollars every day, I don't really think management gives a **** if I hang out and smoke weed in my van. Not bothering anyone. It's like the "No sitting at vacant tables" signs you see at empty tables. That's not for someone like me waiting for a game. It's for bums. Bums aren't allowed to hang out. But damnit I'm a customer. I don't look or smell bad. I'm not bothering anyone. I have no idea why this security guard chose to harass me this morning. Anyway as he was leaving he said "Have a good day sir". I don't want to say the same thing cause it feels disingenuous. Then I say "Don't bother the customers buddy". In as nice and human a tone as possible. We'll see what happens because I'm obviously not going to stop smoking weed and hanging out in my van. I guess I'll just have to enter and exit from different entrances when I take my morning ****. He said surveillance reported people hanging out in there cars but they don't have cameras in the parking lot so they probably saw me coming and going in the morning. Oh and for the record I have the most glorious bowel movements. I am an expert level ****ter. I perch on top of the toilet bowl like a bird and crap in a squatting position. Next level.

Just got my daily dose of loving from the golden retrievers. Toby, the younger one, was whining and kept trying to jump on me. He was super excited to see me. And so was I. Tyler the older slow dog was just chillaxing in the shady bushes munching on something, probably that rolly poly I saved. I'm pretty sure I need to steal this guy's dogs... Or get my own dog(s).
