So I stupidly decided to play the $550 twice on Saturday. I played alright busted the first with JT vs 22 on JT2 flop. And the second one I busted with JJ<KK. Probably should have folded JJ since there was a raise and a 3bet in front of me. Oh well. Down over 5k in tourneys this year, probably should stick to cash games.

Anyway there was a lady at my table who irked everybody. She doubled up through me beating my AK with QT hitting a Q on the river and celebrating. Then when I bust with JJ<KK she complains about folding when she would have flopped trips. I loudly ask her "How much chips did you lose in that hand?". I mean stfu lady. Maybe I should keep quiet but if no one says anything she will just continue to act atrociously. Anyway I get called back to the table as I'm leaving. Apparently I had 500 more than the KK hand. The only satisfaction is that my 500 in chips outlasted her 20k chips as she 3bet jammed all-in versus a guy who's picture is hanging on a banner in the room, Duey Duong. Her A5<AK. Good.

The worst part about this ugly toad lady was the expression on her face. It's amazing how much a genuine smile can soften up the hardest and ugliest of faces. This lady had the opposite going on. She literally looked like she was constantly in pain or like she had feces smeared right underneath her nose. Yuck!!!

Yeah I knew my sizing was ****ed up as I was doing it. Thanks for the input. I'm glad that you think sometimes I play hands perfectly fine. =D. That means I'm not that bad!

Yeah for the record I thought OD had the straight too. He could have been playing every combo of T7 or 75 in my mind, definitely all the suited combos. He was blind raising 40 preflop sometimes and doing all sorts of crazy stuff. It was a crazy table.

I played the Mega Millions $160 with $100 add-on yesterday. It was fun but tedious. Busted near the money but not in it as per usual. One thing I can say so far after playing at the Bike for a few days, the Commerce's claim of "LA's friendliest" is standing up. The people at the Bike at atrocious. And the toilet paper is one ply and should just be called "paper". The Commerce Casino doesn't treat it's patrons like animals, they provide the good soft double ply TP. And yesterday I met the one ply version of a human in the tournament director Bob Smith. Twice, he collected the table cards and said something really nasty to the dealer to the effect of "I can see that" but just in a super nasty tone. I really didn't find it amusing. He came over to the table and collected the 3 seat card then came back like 2minutes later asking where it was and after the dealer couldn't find it I said "You took it already, you stupid ****ing idiot" Only I thought that last part. He found it and said it was stuck to another one. Guy irked me. Calling some guy a girl for some reason. Said his full name loudly in a story about his name at one point I didn't even have to look at his ID badge. I mean I couldn't even make it up this guy was a total dick. TD. Just my opinion, maybe he's a really funny guy and everyone was cracking up at his joke's like he must have imagined they were. I didn't hear any laughs.

Then you got the guy behind me, who won't shut up, and who's just talking about being a pro, this and that. Yeah you're a pro playing $160 MTTs dude. GTFO. You're a wannabe. I'm playing that stupid tournament to have fun, if I wanted to make money I'd be in the cash game. This guy kept yammering all day. Built up a big stack. But then he lost a couple hands and busted out. Very satisfying to see him get up and walk out of there dejected and totally not like a pro.

Something that I've heard a lot of people talk about is playing after they've already qualified for day 2. It boggles my mind why anyone would do that. It's gotta be just pure hubris to think that's a good idea. You get 3k cash and the smallest stack is removed from play. To buy into day 2 costs 3700 so that means that you get less than the cost to buy into day 2. Probably much less than a min cash. No matter what chip stack you have you can still win the tournament! You are essentially quitting a big tournament with one of your stacks for less than a min cash! That's ******ed. I have no idea what the ev is but it's so stupid. This guy who made it to day 2 yesterday came by the cash game table to talk to his friend and said he was gonna play again. He had 150k in chips which is about 75% of a starting stack. Ridiculous. Just cause he ran well he thinks it's super easy to sit there for 12 hours trying to advance.

Back at it again today, feeling froggy!

I advanced to day 2 of the Mega Millions today. I got 161k stack. You can direct buy to day 2 Sunday for $3700 and get 210k chips. Bring on the heavy hitters! Gonna be fun.

Played a little bit last night and won a little bit. I'm getting better at playing the part of the idiot. I think people see me and just kind of expect that I'm dumb. I have to fight the urge to explain anything or reveal that I'm paying attention to the action. There is an Argentinian reg at the Bike that I've seen pick up and use live tells a couple of times. He is a little too obvious about it. To the point where I feel like I can play the fool send out some reverse tell fake sigh shove all-in with the nut flush blocker or something to get a super exploitably tight fold from him. I'm waiting for the time trying to look and play the part of the sucker as much as I can. Even if he spots me for a good player he's still not likely to think I'm reversing a super strong tell on him. Anyway off to play Day 2 of the Mega Millions today. Let the run good continue!!!

I've been playing at the Bike a bunch and my plan is to suggest to Ryan near the end of April to put this big Scottish friend of mine onto LATB. It's near impossible to get onto the show but I figure the best way to get on is to ask for somebody else and build them up. We shall see. Maybe he ends up not liking me and I do more harm than good. But I think I'll butter him up enough that all you'll have to do is show up and be you.

For sure. You should make a trip up some time in May and make it a party. Or meet in Vegas in the summer I'm gonna be making my way out there this year.

Well, we cashed. It was a fun day up until the bad beat at the end. But that's poker. Especially tournament poker. I doubled up early with aces then stacked a couple of guys. One with JJ>TT all in pre. The other with QT on QT6dd board in a limped pot. I bet he raised I jammed he called it off. I played immaculately. It was insane so many people were distracted and on their phones while I was constantly paying attention to the action. I wasn't going to lose focus for one second. More than once I would see someone about to raise on my big blind and they would see me looking back at them in their direction. I was wearing a hat and reflective sunglasses so no one could see my eyes and my expression didn't flinch. If I had a hand I wasn't going to speak one word. I was polite and courteous and wished everyone good luck, but I was there to win. Insane how many people more focused on their phones than on the poker tournament. Everything went into my calculus.

Hero opens to 43k from first position. Folds to villain who shoves 272k. Back to us and I look at him. He's looking at me like he knows he ****ed up. He's played with me a bunch at the Commerce 5/5 game he should know better than to jam over my UTG open here but he doesn't. I call.

Queen in the window and we lose. He celebrates because he has no class and he's happy with winning that pot and not focused on winning the tournament. Guaranteed busto before the final table. Some people just have no chance.

If I win that pot I've got a slightly better than average chip stack and a decent chance to make some serious money by laddering up. But alas it was not meant to be. I busted the next orbit with AQ vs 99 aipf in 106th place for $1100.

I'm not ever open folding at this point and especially from UTG. I would just open fold AQ and even TT in that spot. It's just not a good spot to get it in 9 handed there. Had Daniel Strelitz and Phil Laak at my second table of the day. Daniel busted with AK<QQ aipf for a 1.2mil pot. Laak still had an averagish chip stack when I busted.

I'm really happy with the way I played. 1st is 233k. I'm gonna win one of these damn things one time!!!! Goddamnit!!!!!

I'm sitting here sipping my coffee listening to the Church of What's Happening Now podcast by the great Joey Coco Diaz at the Coffee Bean near Commerce and outside I cannot help but notice there is a clearly crazy person having a full blown animated conversation with nobody in particular. I wonder if it's just him talking to himself or if somebody is talking back. What level of crazy is he? And how the **** do you get that messed up? The brain is such an amazing and fragile thing. I keep hearing Joe Rogan talk about Roseanne and Sam Kinnison getting hit in the head in a car accident and it changing their personalities. Maybe this guy got hit in the head and should garner my sympathy. I'm certainly not mad at him for any reason. Except he's sitting where I want to sit. ****ing nutcase.

I mean probably a completely sane person starts to rant and rave at no one in particular after staying up for days smoking crystal meth. But I'm just speculating.

Now he's even more agitated and animated, throwing a couple of punches at no one in particular. Apparently he doesn't agree with one of the voices in his head. If he comes inside I'm in the corner so I'm gonna stand up if he gets too close. Some people have no damn situational awareness. Boggles my mind. He just walked in.... Ok I did it guys. I smoked a bowl in the back of my van. Took my bag outside and asked if I could sit down use one of the chair and I've pulled it a little bit and I'm just sitting here chilling with my new buddy. Won't hurt for this guy to have someone real to talk to a little bit. I'm like the calmest person in the world right now trying to send this guy some chill vibes.

Nah, dude needs to chill out and sleep. Giving him caffeine would be reckless on my part and mean.

Dude needs to drink a gallon of water and get 16 hours of sleep or a 5150 or both. I'm going back in the van I've seen enough. I'd call the police to get this guy a 5150 except that they have a tendency to escalate the situation and just shoot people. But he definitely needs to sleep. He was talking indirectly to me while talking to himself and he mentioned he's talking to his imaginary girlfriend and he needs "mental stimulation" aka drugs. So he's almost certainly on the tail end of a multiple day crack/meth binge or something. And he's aware that he's talking to people that aren't there. Maybe I should be less worried about this guy and more worried about society. Keep your head on a swivel people, crazies are roaming the streets!

As I left I said "Alright, take it easy buddy, get some rest" And he responded with the meekest "Ok". Hopefully my presence effected him positively.

On a side note I went on a very cool hike this morning and saw a crane, I believe a sandhill crane. It was like 3 feet tall and slowly stalking through the grass. I stopped to watch it for a minute and it snatched some bug or something off the ground and ate it. Super cool. Griffith park is teeming with life. So many flowers. And green everywhere covering all the burned areas. Lots of bugs and birds to eat them. It's awesome!!!!!!!!!! Super bloom!!!!!! I'm gonna get in on the action and start ****ing!!!!! I'm humping the air right now!!!!!!! I'm just walking around humping things today!!!!!!!

A couple times at the tail end of speed benders/days of no sleep I went into complete conversations with people who weren’t there, then would “come to” and be fine. I wonder sometimes if I wouldn’t have gotten sober if I would have eventually just lost it.

I don’t see the difference between being sane and insane as a stark contrast at all; I just think everyone is on the spectrum somewhere. And imo there’s not much between the two.

Man I played bad for a couple of hours yesterday. All of my leaks seem so apparent now. Whatever. Got up and got a double shot of Espresso from the Starbucks inside Commerce. Smoked a couple bowls and just walked around for a bit. When I came back I had my head screwed on right. No more messing around. Tight aggressive and patient is what the doctor has ordered and I'm following his recommendation.

Sounds good for sure. Cheers, I'll be there. I've known more than one crazy person so I'm not too freaked out. I've never had a psychotic episode but I also get 9 hours of sleep every night. Some people are more prone to it and anyone on a 5 day meth binge is going to experience varying levels of psychosis. Everyone is susceptible under the right circumstances. Somehow I feel I can somehow understand other people's psychosis a little bit. Sometimes I have to translate between people at the poker table with their broken English and bad accents. But it's also crystal clear what they mean to me. I think I have some form of ESP like Doyle Brunson talked about it. Isn't that possible? But yeah, let's just also say that I had ulterior motives for being outside and interacting with that guy and just tried to help everyone out by helping him out while I was out there. I got nothing better to do. I'm helping out everybody I come into contact with without costing myself too much. Not giving alms to sots though.
