it's a good look. it adds to the whole homeless motif with hints of complete chaos, maybe violence, and definite drug abuse

glad to see you putting together some wins lately. keep it up

Insult To Injury Or Lucky River?

Hero MP+1(covers) Red Aces
Villain 1 utg+2(~2k) ??
Villain 2 SB (~1700) ??

Utg limps Villain 1 raises to 50 we raise to 175, villain 2 cold calls in the small blind utg folds and villain 1 calls.

Flop ($540) 992r

Villain 2 leads 400 V1 folds and we call.

Turn ($1340) 2

Villain 2 jams his remaining ~1100 and we call.

River (~$3540) Ace of spades.

We flip our hand over first and never see villains hand. He acts like the river killed him but I'm not too sure with this player and it's an absurd line to take with a nine. Pretty sure he had jacks or something. Either way.

Handing Out Rope

Hero CO (covers) AA
Villain BTN (~3k) 76hh Slightly drunk New Yorker. His friend at the other table hit the jackpot. A lot of east coast guys at the casino tonight.

Hero opens to 30 and villain raises to 110. We 4bet to 360 and villain calls.

Flop ($730) J52r

We check and villain checks.

Turn ($730) 2r

We check and villain bets 280 and we call.

River ($1290) 4

We check and villain bets 750 and we call and win.

No, the Gary in question is a Scottish gentleman with a strong Scottish accent. Like a kilt that's been transmogrified into a human being.

The AA hand is the best hand I’ve seen you play.

Splashed around at your hunting grounds on Saturday; what fertile grounds they are! Even for a washed up old pro. I kept my eye out for you but didn’t see you, but I will be coming prob once a month and will stop by and say hi if I see you. I did get to meet the famous GazzyB tho! Confirmed nice guy.

Gazzy has been on LATB before, I remember a hand where he flopped a set and Ryan Feldman completely leveled himself into making a pretty bad call.

Can we get a selfie of you and Gary together? A final burying of the hatchet.

I'm in the zone. Everything is clear to me. I know the right answers intrinsically. I got more going on then just poker. I'm either going to do a bunch of crazy things or I'm going to write a book. Maybe both. Gonna go on a hike and then go to the em effing casino. Sunshine!

Looking forward to it I'll be there often. I'm only going to be playing aces from now on.

Thankfully no regs wear sunglasses or a hoodie but when that guy does show up I'll have the move ready. I do see some people covering their mouths sometimes but I don't think that is necessary. Unless I haven't played in a while I'm pretty good at keeping a straight face I think.

I'll try and snap a pic after one of us stacks the other guy a la Doug Polk double thumbs up with Phil Hellmuth. Hopefully I'm the loser, just putting that out there in the universe.

simple rick has mentioned this, but it can't be talked about too often...

if you are making your living playing live poker, part of your job is providing a good atmosphere at the table. if you're joking around with the fish and being generally pleasant with them, they are gonna spend more time playing poker with you.

if you are an ahole, on your headphones, just miserably taking their money... they are gonna spend less time playing poker with you.

not only is it +ev financially, it also makes life better. just be nice and try to have a good time.

rick is usually pretty good at this aspect. though sometimes the random burns on his face, bleeding wounds, general homeless appearance can be a little off putting to a random recreational player

I saw Goosebumps yesterday with my mom and cousin. I enjoyed the movie more than I thought I would. It helps to go into a movie with low or no expectations. When I leave the theater and go back to my van I see that I have a flat tire. No big deal, call AAA and wait with my cousin for a tow truck to arrive. Get it towed to a tire shop ten minutes before they close and get a new tire tossed on there for 150 bucks, quick and easy. Then we went to IHOP and after I dropped her off and headed to the casino for a few hours.

All In Vs GazzyB

Rick SB ($1700) AA
Gary BB ($1500ish) ??

2 limpers in front of us and we look down at aces in the small blind. Raise to 60. Gary raises it to 210, everyone else folds. We just call, laying the trap.

Flop ($450) Q54r

We check and Gary bets 160. We raise to 570 and Gary goes all-in and we snap call. Got eeem! I ask if he has a set and he says "no" so we show our aces so he doesn't have to show.

Gary laughs and shows the other two aces. We both laugh. The poker gods have spoken.

Kevin from LATB chimes in and asks if it's a chop and is getting impatient. Gary tells him to just settle down and let the dealer do her job. Kevin is an awkward dude. He reached his hand into the shuffle machine to retrieve a card while the dealer is telling him not to. I wanted to ask him if thinks the dealer wants him to do that, but remained silent. I've felt the urge to reach my hand out and grab stuff that falls into the shuffle machine before but I know not to and have the restraint to stop myself.

So, who played it worse?

Rules for a hobo to live by.

Quote:
An ethical code was created by Tourist Union #63 during its 1889 National Hobo Convention in St. Louis, Missouri.[16] This code was voted upon as a concrete set of laws to govern the Nationwide Hobo Body; it reads this way:

1. Decide your own life, don't let another person run or rule you.
2. When in town, always respect the local law and officials, and try to be a gentleman at all times.
3. Don't take advantage of someone who is in a vulnerable situation, locals or other hobos.
4. Always try to find work, even if temporary, and always seek out jobs nobody wants. By doing so you not only help a business along, but ensure employment should you return to that town again.
5. When no employment is available, make your own work by using your added talents at crafts.
6. Do not allow yourself to become a stupid drunk and set a bad example for locals' treatment of other hobos.
7. When jungling in town, respect handouts, do not wear them out, another hobo will be coming along who will need them as badly, if not worse than you.
8. Always respect nature, do not leave garbage where you are jungling.
9. If in a community jungle, always pitch in and help.
10. Try to stay clean, and boil up wherever possible.
11. When traveling, ride your train respectfully, take no personal chances, cause no problems with the operating crew or host railroad, act like an extra crew member.
12. Do not cause problems in a train yard, another hobo will be coming along who will need passage through that yard.
13. Do not allow other hobos to molest children, expose all molesters to authorities, they are the worst garbage to infest any society.
14. Help all runaway children, and try to induce them to return home.
15. Help your fellow hobos whenever and wherever needed, you may need their help someday.
16. If present at a hobo court and you have testimony, give it. Whether for or against the accused, your voice counts!

I'm the most powerful Rick now, that other Rick is dead. He was an impostor, a wanna be, cant never be me, I'm the greatest. I'm Alexander, I'm Julius Ceasar before he crossed the Rubicon. I'm like a cross between a man and a myth. Next step, next level. I'll eat his children. Praise be to Allah!

Men and women can fight back at least, children are helpless innocent creatures and anyone who would hurt them would live a cursed life.

And don't murder anyone while in town. We respect laws 'round the civilized folk.

I think I'm gonna start playing 5/5 more. For a couple of reasons, one of them being that the 5/T games have been crap lately. One thing is certain, I'm feeling really positive about the direction my life is heading =D.
