Played at the Commerce today and lost 500 playing scared. Decided to leave and go for a hike at Griffith Park. I need to go hiking more often, it's relaxing.

Afterward drove down to Hollywood Park and while I was waiting for a seat in the 5/5 game I noticed a particularly spewy player, middle age asian always drinking a beer bloodshot eyes, sitting in the 10/20 game in the corner. So of course I take the empty seat at the table. The minimum buy-in for the table is 1k and everyone has at least double that. A few guys have closer to 10k. Well I decide to buy-in 1k and deploy my short stack game against them. First hand I lose $200 with AQ. Then I win a pot with AK by opening to 100 otb getting 2 calls and c-betting 150 on 942r board and both folded. Then I got it all-in preflop AA>KK for 1850 pot. The lady asked me if I wanted to run it once or twice. "Once". Feel the pain. Flop an ace turn a boat and I double. Then I got JJ twice. Flopped top set with one and turned Jack high straight another. Deck hit me in the face. I left when my stack hit 3k because I didn't want to have so much money in play, you guys would be proud that's some proper BRM. I went to play 5/5 and doubled up with KK before calling it quits.

Quite a few posters have seen Rich around or played with him, and he's made some vlogs, so he's already more out there than other PGCs. He already said he doesn't wanna risk getting jacked, which seems like a good reason to me.

The game was really good and I only risked 1k which is less than 10% of my liferoll. I should have an edge playing 50bb poker against 100-500bb stacks even if they are better than me. I got up when I had 3k. I wanted to get up after I doubled up since the spewy player moved to 5/10 but I thought that was rude and there was still an older gentleman who was limp/calling a lot pre. So I stayed a bit longer.

The cool thing about 10/20 is its time collection so every half hour or so the floor man comes over and we had a collection pot. So if the leftmost card on the flop is a 2 then seat 2 pays the collection for everyone. I managed to run hot in the collection and not pay any. Still seemed like a lot to me $13/half hour per person? I mean a regular rake wouldn't take much more, but whatever.

I do have some pictures of the most dubious aspects of this thread no less. Like I took a pic of the chips I won for the jackpot. And I took a pic of the 10k ticket I won and linked the Commerce Casino facebook link that proves it. Gazzy can tell you that I did lose with KK to AA all in pre and the guy flopped quads (he miscounted my stack though =P) and I really am the guy I say I am.
