Ruh roh.

When you're winning it feels like it will never end. When you're losing it feels like it will never end. When you're playing well you feel like it will never end. When you're playing bad you feel like it will never end.

I would grind the s*** out of the stakes i mentioned and occasionally mix in some low-buyin donkaments($300-500 range) with nice guarantees, plenty of those comin with summer right around the corner. Just what i would do in your situation with your current roll, GL!

Yeah I might mix it up and play some more 5/5 when the 5/10 games don't look good. Not in this for the ego trip. I want to have fun and playing in more profitable games is generally more fun. Good advice, thanks. I won 12,300 from the bad beat jackpot back in July. Had about ~17k total after that. My roll dipped since then, been building it back. Sometime in the next two weeks I will definitely play in another room. Gotta feel it.

interesting blog.

Just one question: you play poker since 2003 and now in 2018 you play nl1k with a 20 stack BRM. What the hell did you in the last 15 years?

You are 32 and are sleeping in a car. I wish you all the best luck.

****** alert!!!!

So after that I left early and ended up going on a night hike. Along the way I spotted 3 coyotes. They were kind of startled by me and growled at me, which pissed me off so I ran at them and chased them a bit, and then they were just kind of walking ahead of me on the trail for a long time like half a mile. At first I thought that they thought that I was stalking them, but eventually I came to feel like they were using my noise to find startled animals ahead of me. I'm not sure what it was. I came to feel like, maybe I had found my wolf pack. At first I was a lone wolf all by myself walking and then these 3 wolves joined my wolf pack and we became a foursome. A true wolf pack. When I got to the view spot my wolf pack kind of separated off about 100 yards or so( they had been as close as 10 yards to me) and all started howling like crazy. It echoed off the hills nearby and I literally at first thought there were at least 2 other packs of coyotes across the hills responding and coming to get me! Lol then I realized it was just an echo so I started yelling at my wolfpack "You got real tough now that you're all the way over there!" "Cowards!!!!". Realizing my wolfpack had deserted me, maybe they were never with me to begin with, I made my way back down the hill, and I realize now that I need to go hiking everyday. That's why I've been losing. That and smoking ****** amounts of pot before going into the casino. I know this. Can I fix it?

This is why you need a smartphone dude. That would've been an epic video with the wolves.

And move down bro, your ROR at 5-10 is too high with your current roll.

ahhahaha hell no

I read the entire blog yesterday and i liked.

like i said and it's honest i wish you the best luck, saw your video blog for the 10k main event. I think you can crush the live games right now. better then a busdriver job. play good, play smart, play to win.

no clue what are the livingcosts in LA but you can do it. Night hikes with coyotes at the hills of LA, ahahaha so good. dancing with coyotes after a bad night.

and yes move down to 5/5 variance is a bit ch, one stack, one night and an appartement is paid. lifequality to play better for the rest of the month.

you are 32 you know what you want, for example the girl in your car and she is hot for you and you leave...

nothing to loose, all-in every day, focus, fight for your lifequality.

Played poker for a couple hours yesterday and then when over to smoke weed at my friend's house.

Results 4/20: +$440

Not Slowing Down

Hero CO (~$1400) A4ss
Villain 1 MP+2(covers) ??
Villain 2 HJ (covers) ??

Villain 1 opens to 40, villain 2 calls, Hero looks down at A4ss which looks like suited aces to me so I raise to 185. Both villains call.

Flop JT8xxs ($555)

Everyone checks.

Turn 6s

Both check to me and I think about it for a minute. Guess what? I go all-in ~$1200. They both fold. Easy game.

It wasn't the easiest or the best shove. I had the nut flush draw with one overcard in a 3bet pot that was checked to me twice. So I def got enough to make the shove. THe problem is that Villain 1 in this hand is a really good player and has seen me play enough to try to set a trap for me. Villain 2 is the guy who folded QT a few days ago, I don't think he can have a hand that would call me. He asked if I had a flush draw straight draw after the hand and I said "I can't say"

I was thinking about playing 10-20 to make up what I lost recently though. Plus there is no cap buy-in, so if I sit with my whole roll I can double up my whole bankroll....

And yeah I'll at least bring my crappy flip phone with me next time.

I played well....I think. Just didn't get the results I wanted. Thems the breaks sometimes.

Results 4/21: -$135

Make 'em say 'Wow'

Hero UTG+1 (covers) AsKh
Villain 1 UTG+2($85) KQss MAWW doesnt like being called ma'am.
Villain 2 SB (~$1400) ?? MAWG

Villain 1 just doubled from 40 to 85 after quickly busting her 1k starting buy-in.

I limp hoping to put in a squeeze if V1 jams. V1 jams for 85 and V2 is the only caller back to me. I reraise to 305 total. V2 calls.

Flop ($255 main $440 side) J64r

V2 checks I bet 285 V2 calls.

Uh oh, wanted him to fold.

Turn ($255 main $1010 side) 4h

He checks and I check.

River ($255 main $1010 side) Tc

He thinks for 30 sec to a min before checking. Time to hero bluff this one. He has about just under a thousand left. "All-in" I announce and he folds pretty quickly.. I show for the main pot somewhat embarassed that I have to show and somewhat proud of my sick bluff. Villain 1 says "You're good" and shows KQss. We scoop. "Wow".

It sounds well balanced cause there's medium strength hands in there too. I could be wrong though.

I'm actually fairly unbalanced with my overbets. But I try to pick my spots well and not overdo it. And I'm not completely unbalanced, I do show up with nutted hands often enough in overbet spots to make even astute competition beware.

Hero checks, Villain bets 150, and Hero????

Of course Hero shoves all-in ~$1400, and KQ calls and loses.

Please comment on my massive overbet shoving. People don't bet enough/ go all in enough imo.

Ouch. Took a couple days off, played for like an hour on Tuesday, lost a big hand didn't feel like playing more and then just left.

Triple Misplay

Hero SB (covers) 87hh
Villain MP (~$1500) ?? ~35yo asian guy

A player opens from UTG for 30, villain calls, another player calls, I call from the SB. 4 to the flop.

Flop ($120) 6h5c2h

Checks to villain, who bets 60, I call and others fold.

Ok here is where I start misplaying the hand. I hadn't played in a couple days and when I sat down I was scared. I was unreasonably scared on this flop that someone might have a set so I checked. I should have just led out and bet this flop. It fits well into my lead out strategy. Then when villain bets we should be check raising. But again I was afraid and I didn't want to face a 3bet, so I made the scared play and just called.

Turn ($240) Qc

Hero checks and villain bets $300.

Ok my first instinct when facing this large bet is to fold. Which is lol really it's costing us $300 to win $540. Getting a little less than 2:1 for an over pot bet. We should have 13 to 15 outs of 44 cards left in the deck. So folding is not out of the question since we aren't getting the direct odds to call. And we are OOP so there is a good chance if we make our hand we don't make any more money. And of course two hearts that pair the board could be bad for us. And villain might have a bigger flush draw, maybe with a queen even. So as crazy as it is I think my first instinct here is right. Fold. Of course that's not what I did.

Hero goes all-in putting villain all-in for another $1100. Villain thinks about it for a minute or two before calling.

River (~$2600) Ts

Hero flips over 87hh that missed and villain shows

Spoiler:
4s4c

Lol wtf? I guess I sat there on the turn and thought about it too long. I feel like there must have been some sort of timing tell there. Getting called by an underpair and losing a huge pot like that sucked. The pain! The misery! I misplayed this hand in three different spots because I was scared to get stacked. Which is inevitably what happened. I'm probably gonna go back to playing 5/5 for a while.
