Good luck, I'm not all that good at poker so you can definitely get better than me. I need to get better myself. If you can afford to keep redepositing $110 each week then yeah $5.50 tourneys are fine. Just try to have fun and learn.

No, I've never been to a murder scene, have you? Also it's not like I was making fun of an actual murder or anything. Nobody died.

The thread is officially anti-murder.

I literally go out of my way to shoo flies to the back screen where I can open it and let them out rather than kill them. Mosquitoes however are a different story altogether. Mosquitoes are parasitic blood sucking monsters. Vectors for disease and responsible for billions of human deaths. They are the enemy. I kill every mosquito I encounter. I'm a serial mosquito killer. The thread is officially anti-mosquito.

SimpleRick "...No, I've never been to a murder scene, have you?"

I have. My niece was shot in the head in front of her young son.

Was dispatched to a mass shooting last week where a firefighter and and EMT were shot, the EMT later died. Very sad scene. No one was joking about it. Too bad you weren't there to lighten the mood.

At least he won't be spreading covid. I'm sure corporate news would give him a harder time for not being vaxxed than being a serial killer. Strange times.

Sorry for your loss. I don't think you're being fair about what I said though. I didn't make light of anyone who was actually murdered. Your outrage seems unwarranted. I didn't show up to a murder scene and crack jokes about the victim as you are suggesting.

So your view is that it's never acceptable to joke about murder? Ever?

Wish I would’ve seen you were streaming, been a long-time lurker in your thread. Saw you once at the Bike a couple years ago too. Should’ve said what’s up…next time.

We were both on the wrong side of AK v QQ in that tourney. I 4 bet shoved my QQ into Sw33ney (finished 2nd eventually) and he binked an Ace on the flop. Would’ve had 100bbs with 95 left

I live in the LA area too, but haven’t gone to a casino in like two years. Have you been back yet? Anyway, good luck and congratz on that huge score you had online recently.

Haven't played poker since Sunday. Needed to get that loss out of my head. Besides the venom I lost a bunch in other tourneys as well. That's poker. I think I may just play fewer tournies in the near future and try to focus more on cash games.

That's just bad luck man. I wouldn't ever kill a spider. If it's not in a good spot (like one I found in a mug the other day) I'll just take it outside.

Hey you didn't miss much don't worry wasn't in it but for a few hours, nothing exciting.

Damn that's too bad. At least you cashed but still I know how much more frustrating busting closer and closer to big money gets.

Thanks and good luck to you too! Yeah, I haven't played live poker since February 2020. But I'll be back. And yeah if you see me next time just come over and say hello, I'm pretty chill in real life. Or at least I think I am.

Here's a few highlights.

QQ early on blinds 800-1600 ante 240 utg opens to 3200 utg+2 3bets to 8500 we call in big blind with QQ utg folds. Flop KQ9r we check utg+2 bets 12,500 we call. Turn 7h we check utg+2 bets 29,500 we call. River Ax we check utg+2 bets 55,250 we call and win vs A9dd.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1109332270
(Didn't want to 4bet QQ ~200bb deep early on vs two early position raisers. On the flop turn and river check calling seems best, don't want to overplay our hand.)

QQ blinds 1200-2400 ante 360 we open to 6k from hijack only big blind calls. Flop T75ssx we both check. Turn Td villain bets 8040 and we call. River 3x villain bets 8040 again we raise to 30,480 and villain calls with Q5dd and we win.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1109336545
(I think checking back flop for pot control as well as inducing on later streets is fine. On the river his bet looks like a blocker bet, I'm not too worried about a ten here then so I decide to go for a thin value raise.)

QQ blinds 1600-3200 ante 480 lojack opens to 6400 we 3bet to 19,200 and only villain calls. Flop A77ccd we both check. Turn Kd villain bets 35,280 and we call. River Tx we both check. Our hand is good, villain had 44.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1109347473
(I think checking back this flop makes sense, it's what we would do with AA so I think it makes sense to check back here. It's a way ahead or way behind situation. On the turn this guy's bet doesn't make sense to me. He's betting into a range that's pretty nutted here. AA,KK,AK. Maybe he could have a 7 but I'm not really buying it so I call. On the river I'm thinking I'm calling another sizable bet, but I'm not sure and we didn't get to that bridge to cross.)

SimpleRick. "When did it become about murdering children?"

When you posted a youtube video with comedians joking about murdering children. Did you even watch it?

Not funny, but not being funny is why Louis CK may soon be living in his car and playing on line microstakes also.

Would you rather listen to Dr. Cosby's stand-up comedy? It's clean and wholesome, but he is a serial rapist. Which is better wholesome comedy from a serial rapist or dark comedy from someone who is presumably not a rapist?

Also, I've never played microstakes. Like literally never. And Louis CK is hilarious.

Myself I'm learning away from the tables and got a plan to play bigger buy-in live mtts but not for the act of making $ but for the actual goal of taking down a tournament finishing 1st and playing my best while doing it. I've got a ton of experience of playing live tournaments online and live. Really I think winning big live mtts is more impressive to me than been a top cash game player or earning a living playing online or whatever.

Good Job on winning the monthly million though. I haven't got a plan to play it or win it but you seem to be quite proud of the fact you took it down and won it. It's good that people feel good about achieving something they think is worthwhile to them. If you take down the wsop main event that you have planned to enter I will want to give you props for that for sure. That's something I think is a impressive achievement in poker.
Thanks. The only studying I do away from the tables is watching youtube vids. Lex and Fintan (easywithaces) and some others.

Yeah I'm on a pretty big downswing over the last few weeks. No big deal, I'll get it back eventually. The thousandaire is $75+7 buy-in, and I haven't played live cash in a year and a half. I'll be back soon enough though.
