Thanks I try to use 'I' when I do something stupid though, cause that's all on me.

I put all my money in dogecoin so now I'm a millionaire.

Spoiler:
Not really haha. I've still got over 200k though. I'm holding onto like 5 different cryptos in different accounts and don't want to do all the math right now.

Had 100k DOGE (not 100k USD but 100k coins) but then sold it before it spiked which feels bad man. I pretty much can't do anything right so my plan is to just HODL and forget about it.

Haven't been playing much at all but got right back into the swing of things with the thousandaire tonight. I'm planning on starting streaming again soon if I can get that to work. I definitely will take some shots when I get the feeling and especially if I can continue to win more at 200nl and mid-high stakes tourneys online. And if I see a fun lineup live I'll definitely sit.

Limp Raise AA

Hero UTG+1 (covers) AA
Villain UTG+3 ($171.54) Ad6x

Hero limps, villain min raises to $4, SB call, BB calls, and we raise to $24. Villain calls and SB calls.

Flop ($72.20) J76xdd

SB checks and we bet $40 and villain jams for $147.54 total SB folds and we call.

Turn ($371.08) 3d

No diamond no six please.

River ($371.08) 3x

And we run another punt back for touchdown.

I know limping aces is like ******ed play but sometimes you gotta fight ******ation with ******ation. Average 3bet% is really low so I'd rather not open but I'd rather limp raise AA at least some of the time. Especially when A6os is gonna play like he did, but not likely 3bet preflop.

You have over 200k now? Sick! How did that happen and are you planning on finally upgrading to a van?

The ol' limp re raise. Sometimes you gotta bring out some old gambits like going for the checkmate in 4 moves. When it works it works beautifully. I keep this in my back pocket as well but only from EP and only at a 9max table. Works really well in mtts with a bunch of short stacks behind.

NH.

Thanks, I bought a van a couple of years ago but right now I'm living at my grandma's house. I got a job at the end of 2019 driving and operating an earthquake simulator and doing renovations on older houses, installing foundation plates, framing anchors, and cutting and adding shear wall to cripple wall foundations. Quit that job when they lowered my pay 20% almost exactly a year ago during covid because that's a qualifying reason for unemployment and unemployment was paying more than my job. Played online poker and started running hot in December/January culminating in me binking a six figure score by winning the monthly milly on Ignition on January 31st. $535 buy-in 1866 players for $134,640. So basically all luck =D.

Thanks. Yeah if I'm shortstacked in a tourney I'll limp aces a lot. If someone has a hand strong enough to call a raise they'll generally raise a limp themselves. And the chances the big blind outflops aces is much lower than the chance they'll just flop top pair or any pair and go with it. I'll balance this out by limping some hands like KQ that are too strong to fold but also not quite strong enough to raise from EP on a short stack in an ICM spot. For example I limped KQs from UTG when there was 11 left in the monthly milly off an 11bb stack. UTG+1 called and SB jammed 3.5bb and I rejammed and the other limper folded and I got there vs the sb's AT. It was kind of a weird spot and I wasn't sure what to do there but I felt like limping was a better way to play it then just jamming or min raising.

Hmmmmm, not very likely but I would like to play the wsop main event this year (and every year). Maybe toss in some WPT events too like the LAPC wpt. But I mean if I won the main event then I'd definitely be blasting off every 10k I could find right? I can always dream. I'd like to travel to different casinos and play in different tournament series. That always seemed like it would be fun. I'd also like to play in some bigger cash games, high stakes cash games but obviously I still need to work my way up there. Anything is possible. But I'm also happy just playing 200nl online and online tournies and 5/T and 5/5 live. No matter how well I do in tournies I'd want cash games to still be my bread and butter.

Maybe I'll take my roll and try to get on season 9 of high stakes poker! Wouldn't that be fun?

Can't Win Em All

Hero SB (covers) KK
Villain UTG+1 ($185.64) ATos

UTG opens to $6, villain calls, CO calls, we raise to $34 and only villain calls.

Flop ($78) 876hhd

We bet $48 and villain calls.

Turn ($174) 7d

We put him all-in for $103.64 and he calls.

River ($381.28) 9x

Obv can't answer for him and think he's mentioned it actually in here before but why should he? Outside of living costs being cheaper if he were to start living on his own LA is better poker wise and if he wants to play tourneys in LV it's just a short drive/flight away. Also he could no longer play on bonition in LV. OP would be better off moving to TX than LV for poker imo

I won a stupid $15 tourney, 1/201. I was futzing around all day and didn't start playing til like 1130. All the good tourneys were over so I decided to play this one. Total crapshoot but I'm good at those, lucky me.

Watching 'Invincible' on Amazon and playing some 200nl still.

Yeah I like the old broadcasts of the WSOP. One of the parts I like about the old broadcasts is when they actually explain how to play HoldEm. The newer broadcasts don't bother and just assume everyone knows how to play. Even though I know the rules I still like the explanation part for some reason.

Yeah exactly, can't play poker on Ignition if I live there. Don't wanna get my account banned. And the casinos here are better action overall than Vegas. But I do plan on going out to Vegas to play some tournaments and cash games during the WSOP.
