3 folds and we jam all-in 19k. Folds to the big blind who calls. He has 88. He's a distant 2nd in chips at the table. 1st has 70k chips and is just jamming 90% of hands. If Villain calls and loses he's going to go from 2nd to last in chips. The other stacks range from 12k to 23k.

This is just straight up ICM suicide on his part. Calling with 88 is just way too low.

We get lucky and hit the ace on the flop and hold on to win. Villain ends up busting about an orbit later, again calling all-in from the big stack. His A8hh loses to A9.

Later when it's 7 handed we have KK and the big stack has shoved all-in. We have about 35k while the other five stacks have 10k-18k. Easiest fold ever. I'm not even sure if I should be calling AA in this spot, probably not.

Villain goes all-in. Villain has been jamming all-in preflop in about 90% of hands. Very rarely he will fold when he has first in vigorish. It's a race to the bottom, the other guys are all folding and waiting for somebody else to bust. Everybody has been overfolding to the big stack.

This is basically the scenario I faced last night holding KK. Easy fold. Would you fold AA here? I'm pretty sure aces is also an easy fold. If we had aces we would be about an 85% favorite against a random hand. And I think given the stack sizes and the situation we are much more likely than 85% to make top 6 by folding here than calling.

I think it's an easy fold given the stack distribution. There's enough cluster at 10,12,13, and 16 that they will be pressured to have action. Basically I don't think you need to play a hand until you get down to being one of the shortest stacks.

Yeah I'm pretty certain calling it off with AA in that spot is suicidal given the circumstances. It's almost impossible for us to not cash top 6 by just folding in that spot.

I know I don't have to prove anything to you, but when I came back to the states, I had the option of working for a bank, albeit retail, but the pay would have been decent. I took back the grinder route once again in order to have a flexible schedule to work on a humanitarian project, as well as work on my own thoughts, self care, and dedicate my time to family. I bought all the baby stuff secondhand through garage sales to save money. When I was grinding, I only worked maybe 25
to 30 hrs a week, so I could see my son more, and my rate was 35$/hr. Covid really ****ed me up.

Today the $55 40k guaranteed registration period changed from the 11th blind level 250/500 blinds to the 16th level 500/1k blinds. Which is pretty absurd. I bought in at the last second and got seated at a new table with a bunch of other 5k stacks. We were all on the same page, stall, time bank, time down. I literally played 3 hands and then was in the money. No joke, late reg tourney, play 3 hands, ITM. Easy game. I guess they changed it because the guarantees weren't being met the last few days or whatever but this is just too easy to exploit. And I like money so of course I'm gonna late reg and stall, it would be stupid not to.
