yep, I was told something similar.
I my past 2 places I had to put 4 months advance down PLUS get a co-signer.
Even if you can put down 6 months in advance, those "type of people" generally are more likely to cause damage to a property, will be harder to sue, and also if you put that much down up front its harder for them to evict you if something is an issue.
To us it seems illogical they'd turn it down, but it's actually not that ideal for them.
