So much extra equity for winning this tourney. I'll be honest my main motivation for winning is to make this thread 5* and followed closely by the million bucks.

I'm rolled for 5/5 right now and can get a job if i go busto.

Let me explain it to you. I feel lucky. I'm going to prepare for this tournament making sure my sleep schedule is on point and I'm going to exercise and eat right too (though im doing well on that already).

Before pokerstars got shut down on black friday I had a 100% ROI on MTTs. I would play $50-$215s. Mostly 2 or 3 hundred person tournaments. So in a 10k WPT event with a larger field I expect my ROI to be about the same or maybe even greater. So how much markup could I reasonably charge in this tourney?? 1.3 maybe? I'm sure all the regs in the 300-500 game at commerce would love to get a piece of me probably at even 1.5. I still ain't selling. I'm a gambler at heart and I hate giving up equity. why sell 1% for $130 when i think its worth $200? Everytime I saw Phil Helmuth try to get insurance on tv cash games it made me cringe inside. How can a pro give up equity like that? I understand that even with my 100% ROI I only had an ITM % of 16. So yeah, I'm going to walk away from this WPT with nothing a lot of the time. Just not this time. This is my time to win it.

lol. It's ONE tournament man. Your ROI pre black friday isn't that much of a factor. Fedor Holtz sells action and I'd guess his ROI is a touch better than yours. You can play perfect and be punted in the first hour.

The fact you really think a 10k is comparable to a $100 mtt online pre blackfriday is seriously insane. You think you're worth 1.3-1.5 markup? lol. And you also think that you wouldnt accept 1.5 if offered (which you would never get, maybe you would for 1% but never for a large %) because you're worth more?

Whatever. I'll check back in after you bust and then a few months after that to see that you're also still life busto. And I'll remind you why.

i only used that metric since i dont track my results. im ok with losing guys. im not going to look back on this and think "damn why didn't i sell action" im just going to move on.

I've been spending the past few days basically day dreaming what it would be like to make the tv final table and win this tourney. One thing I've been thinking about is whether or not I win this, I want to make it back here on my own. That won't be easy and it may just mean me degening off 10k in the future, but I want to make it happen.

A player at my table tonight asked me if I was who he thought I was to which I replied "I dont know who do you think I am?" He said he didn't want to blow up my spot so I thought he might have known me from this thread. Then he starts asking how long I've been touring and this and that to which I give vague generic responses. Lol I'm pretty sure this guy thought I was some rock star? Beck? He even asked to take a pic with me as he left. Lol he is going to be disappointed when he shows that pic and I'm not whoever he thought I was. About 10 minutes after he left I noticed the hot chick at the next table over was staring at me (hungrily?). Ha at least I don't look homeless.

Also while I was eating at the table I noticed some foul body odor. I got nervous it was me so I took a discreet smelfie. Not me. Then I look down and see the player next to me has his bare feet just there. And the very night before another player had bare stinky feet. It's disgusting and if I smell his BO again I'm going to as politely as possible tell him his feet stink. Gross. And I'm going to complain to the casino that people shouldn't be allowed to wear open toed shoes. You can't wear tank tops for the same reason.

Would love to see you ship that donkament and im sure others would, at the very least a nice cash! Best of luck!

I thought it was cause the casinos think they look too unclassy. Guess people (poker players) have issues with showering regularly.

Rich Checkmaker, I am mainly an online player, but I do play a few tournament events every year, and part of it - equity notwithstanding -, is the right to dream of a big score. In a sense, you are purchasing those fluffy dreams. Much like the lottery... Again, equity put aside. And 10k/AKA 33% of your BR is a tremendous amount to pay for these dreams. My 2 cents.

Yeah lol played the $1100 donkament today and I'm feeling like selling some action. When I first show up to the table I have to kick some impostor out of my seat I was table 16 seat 4 and this guy was at the wrong table. Luckily he hadnt played and still had same amount of chips. I literally tripled up in the first orbit.

And then at some point I realize I'm sitting at the table with Billy Baxter because a few people came over and said "Hello Billy Baxter". He's got a stong southern accent and at one point in the table he no joke takes a phone call and says "What's up Doyle?" Lol. Doyle Brunson? So yeah played poker with a hall of famer today. Lost $1100 in the tourney bout to play some cash games.

SB checks Hero bets 100 SB check raises to 200 Hero raises to 1200 SB raises to 2600 Hero tanks then raises all-in for 29,700. I'm certain after his 4bet he has A4 or has me tied with 64 however he thinks for a few minutes and asks if he wants to go home early, then calls our hand holds and we win.

Villain 1 goes all in for 1k we look down at AA and make it 3400 to go Villain 2 calls in the blind.

Flop 6s5s4h (3200 middle 4800 sidepot)

Villain 2 checks I think for a minute and think the most likely hand for him to coldcall a 34BB iso raise from the blind would be an overpair to this flop. So I should be ahead. I jamd all-in and he snap calls me so fast I'm sure I'm beat. I turn over AA and he turns over 76os. Top pair open ended, not the hand we would ant him to have. The small stack has A4os. We hold. So very quickly we've tripled our staarting stack lol. Then I take a bad beat with AK.

Blinds are 100-200 with a single big blind ante of 200. So 500 in the pot. Villain 1 raises to 600 villain 2 reraises to 1800 and I decide to just call villain 1 calls.

Villain 1 checks villain 2 bets 2k and I think for a bit and I feel like I have the best hand so I go all-in. Villain 1 hems and haws and eventually calls which I don't like I'm worried I'm beat and then villain 2 fold. Villain 1 had KTss and hits his flush on the turn. Said he called because he could re-enter. Whatever. Good for him. Well I couldn't do much after that. Didn't get cards kept playing tight until I busted out with KK allin pre (16k with 2 limpers and blinds 1k2k2kante)and getting called by AA. Played for 8 hours today rough.
