In for £200, out for £261 in a £1/1 at The Vic. Was down to £70 at one point so was pleased to grind out a win. Put some Sean Locke on YouTube and got it done.

Thought I'd do a quick update of where we stand at the moment.

Live bankroll: £2,317
Online bankroll: $184 (I only check this once a week on Sundays)
Life roll savings: £0

This is all separate from my life roll for day to day living/partying etc. Goal is to build all three, bankrolls through poker and life roll through working hard and trying to cut down on ridiculous expenditure....

You close to Lillie Road dude? Not looking forward to going home on Monday.

Check out the Cock Tavern on North End Road if you have never been.

That's a damn sexy graph , congrats! Out of interest how long are your sessions on average?

I'd say I average 4-5 hours but it really varies. I'm pretty limited during the week due to work but at weekends I like to play longer.

Fun weekend, went to Regent Street to buy an iPad and it seemed like we'd been invaded by the Americans....

Pokerwise, played the Baby 5-0 at the Vic and busted early on day two. Day one was largely uneventful except for having AK vs TT in a 3bet pot on a QJT board and holding. Day two I minraise sb with 18bb and shoved when I hit top pair and was out kicked. I won a bit in the cash games so not a complete write off.

Online, played a little bit more omaha but volume is still low. Here is a graph of the Omaha Challenge so far:

Overall update:

Live bankroll: £2,219
Online bankroll: $193.81
Life roll savings: £0

This week hopefully getting more online in, might make another run at the loyalty freeroll at the Vic because that is an awesome tournament to get in to reclaim some value!

I will be curious to see which bankroll application you will choose for your Ipad, if you choose one. cf my thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/27...acker-1477111/
Or will you use pokerjournal (as an unoptimized ipad app) ?

I'm just going to use Poker Journal on my iPhone. I always have my phone with me, not always my iPad.

Nice thread and subbed, seem to play similar levels and I'm also South (earlsfield). Play mostly tourneys, but recently had some success in live cash at the hippo.

Thanks!

Had a decent session last night, in for £100 and out for £168. Not a massive win but not bad for an early week evening.

More City photos from meetings:

I've just played a session that has put me in a great mood about where my poker (and mental) game is at the moment. I headed home after work and got changed and went up to the casino. I got into my usual £1/1 game and proceeded to run awfully, missing every flop, unable to get a cbet through and being generally on the negative side of variance.

At one point I was in for £400, sitting on £150 and called an all in against a player on a 3 spade board with top pair, top kicker, knowing he was on a draw (he has a stone cold read, not something I've picked up on many regular players). He ended up getting there (not by hitting a spade funnily enough) and I was down £350 and pretty demoralised.

So often in this spot I've decided to take the easy way out and call it an evening, I'd been playing for 7 hours or so and had been awake for nearing 24 hours. However, I really felt that I was one of the stronger players in the game; I could see people getting tired quicker around me and there was a lot of money on the table. I resolved to stick it out and keep playing my A-game and ended up cashing out for £665 (in for £400) after a 12 hour session.

I know this isn't the most epic busto to robusto story but I felt so validated in my ability to stick out tough variance and beat a +ev game when I'm stuck reasonably deep. I know this won't happen every time I'm down but I was really pleased with my attitude and approach to the second half of the session, firstly the slow grind back to even the the small rush of cards that got me ahead.

#tl;dr
