Looong time no see! Still out here grinding away, but since ive settled down and started living the family life its not the same hours as before =) Also ive made the switch from HU to 6-max to be able to be more efficient with my time, still play some HU when I get the chance to though. I started making this switch about a year ago, so its been a year filled with studying and playing trying to get my 6-max game in good shape. Have also been picking up 5c plo somewhat recently and plan is to dig deeper there as well, just touched on some of the fundamental parts so far in that game. I really enjoy playing it though, feels a bit more unexplored and intuitive at the moment which is a lot of fun. So I was thinking since I used to enjoy posting on here I thought it could be a fun way to keep better track of everything going forward, and also add some extra accountability and structure to the routines Ill set up.
At the moment I have a somewhat clear schedule for my days which i think is good, but it can be optimized for sure. Im renting an office space which is like 3 min from where I live, I also have the gym in the same area which is pretty awesome since it makes the every day life run smoothly.
Im gonna do this cross country skiing race called Vasaloppet on sunday, which basically is 90km on skis. First time doing it and Im not nearly as prepared as I should be so its gonna be an interesting one. Ive been putting in decent hours on the skierg machine at the gym and would say Im in pretty good physical condition overall, but I only have around 20km in total on snow this winter. Except for this adventure it looks like March will be a month for some solid grind which Im looking forward to.
Might figure out and add some of the more detailed goals as I go on, but to start with Ill just put the basics on here so lets get down to business:
( ) 100h of playing poker
( ) 15h of studying
( ) 20 workout sessions
Alright, so I made it through Vasaloppet! My time was 10:32h, and it was for sure one of the toughest physical challenges ive ever faced. Just being active for such a long time and experience what that does to your body was pretty interesting. So now Im back home and back on the grind, I was thinking Ill do brief weekly updates to keep track of everything.
Week 1:
- 14.5h of playing.
- 3.5h of studying.
- 2 workouts.
Off to a good start in march overall Id say, looking forward to up the volume a bit going forward!
Happy with the amount of hours at the table this week, the action has been good which tends to lead to less studying. This week Ill be focusing on amping up the study hours a bit though since my overall hours there has been way too bad this month. Workouts lacking due to a sore body after the ski race, will be back on track again this week.
