Hey,

im a 22 years old plo grinder from sweden, never really been active at any forum, but anyway been playing poker for a long time but fulltime for 1,5 years now. Started off winning some money in tourneys then made the serious transfer to this crazy game called plo in february this year. Been playing quite much this year, both hu and 6max, mostly on stars, prima and some at the swedish site svenska spel, stakes usually 0,25/50-05/1 but been taking some shots as well.

Its been quite a crazy road so far with alot of ups and downs like im sure u plo players knows more than well of. my goal with starting this thread is to get myself to play extremely much poker in 2013 and im starting today.

Im pretty much gonna set new goals as the journey goes on and see what happens, but to start with ill set some monthly goals:

- play at least 160h

-get 30k vpps

-put in more hours to watch training videos and be active at forums/go through interesting hands in hm

-show a profit

not really sure about this one, we're like 140bb deep, i got the feeling he was betting near to pot to protect his naked aaxx though he had a very low 3bet%, so thought i had some fold equity here. afterwards i feel a call and evaluate on turn is the best play here..?

Played another session for a little more than 3 hour, played kind of spewy and it got punished and lost 500$ so ends the day around 250 down.. Ran pretty bad 255 below ev but didnt played well either so guess i deserved it.

played 3 tbls against same guy last 2 hours and lost almost every pot. But i feel i def have much weaknesses in my hu game so will work at this and another thing is to try not to play hu when im tired. i think 6max is fine, ofc not good but its ok but i get so much more spewy when im tired and play hu.

anyway life could be worse new years eve tomorrow without these things

Played a couple of hours now in The morning, dont really know why but been so spewy last two session.. Lost 350 and pretty much gambled away last 250 by going all in preflop with rundowns. Gaah, ye gonna be good with a new year and fresh start. Worked much on my discipline this year and feel ive come a long way, but guess those spewy days always come around some times.

Finished the month around 1700$ up so at least Im up, but far from satisfied..
So today its time to get super drunk and then fresh start tomorrow night,
          Happy new year!!

woke up after 2h of sleep and felt i was in grind mode so played a little more than 4h session 6tabling 6max plo50. ran pretty awful and ended 180 down and around 340 below ev. but was down close to 500 for a while so it could have ended worse.. anyway felt pretty good about my game today and much better focus than last days so thats a good thing!

heres some interesting hands im not really sure about would be fun with som inputs on those.

3better is a fairly tight player with a 9,3 3bet %, and my thoughts here was that fi probably have naked aaxx ofcourse he could have some aakq akkq akqx and some of those hands that im drawing really thin against but anyway i was thinking that im always gonna go with this against co so if i donk here 3better will have to lie his aaxx without anything more to go with it down since we're that deep (around 4x pot bet left behind), and i think he will do this that often that this is profitable? and even co have some fold equity and then if, like it happend 3better decides to push he have a quite a bunch of hand im drawing good against like in this case (48/52%).

anyway these were pretty much only big hands i won in the whole sessions and dont really love putting up a bunch of bad beats..

now sleep and looking forward to a new day and probably be on the right side of the variance tomorrow!

hmm was thinking about this one, i feel that when he just calls the shortstack push hes either superstrong or fairly weak and i have really good backdoor equity here but still not sure if its a push or not? ran it in hm and have 36% on the flop actually but clearly i was up against the hands i wanted to be up against.

In first hand you got pretty decent relative position. That means if you check, CO will be playing very straightforward sinse he got a low SPR. So if you check, he will often bet or check. That means you can see how strong he is and how BTN reacts to a donkbet or if its checked to him. I hate donking here and getting raised. You could easily be dominated and if he 3bets 9.7%, he got rundowns and big cards alot here aswell. You wont be getting it in good here very often by donkbetting/calling a raise. So I think I like check more and evaluate depending on their actions. If CO bets and BTN raises, you can fold quite easily.

Yep i hear what you mean, and greatful for input! Thing is i wanted to use my stacksize to put btn in an awkward spot, i think checking ist definitily fine, probably the most standard play here. But still want to stay balanced and donk with some weaker hands as well not only jtxx kq9 and hands like this. So if i check Co bets then btn can put me in a bad spot with hands like the one he had and i have to fold away my equity. But i might have a little to weak hand here but still, def not hate it another thing i could have done is that if i bet smaller, more like 12ish into the pot of 20, then Co gets in a push or fold spot and if he goes with his hand and btn push i could easily lay it down. Thing is that i want to make life harder and putting pressure on btn and dont let him isolate push me away with his weaker range. Afterwards donking smaller is what i would have liked the most actually.

Just finished a 5hour session, was a swingy story where i first was down around 250, turned it around and was suddenly up 350 instead.. then dropped down to around 150 down again but finished 70ish up. was satisfied with my game today but variance is giving me a hard time atm. anyway always good to book a winning session after having a couple of losing days.

gonna grab something to eat now, then meet up with some friends and we're aiming for a grindnight at my friends place so will be a long session tnight! will post some hands when im done for the night

this one i think is kind of interesting, i standard open from utg, co 3bets and have a very low 3bet% of 5,3%. anyway then he bets halfpot on the flop, and when im going through this hand now i would have wanted myself to push the flop, because i have good backdoor equity against most hands and i get the feeling he is often weak when he bets halfpot here. anyway i decided to call, wich i dont hate either. so when the turn comes a j, and brings in the 9t straight, i think i might prefer doing this play here if i had a blocker but dont think it is very significant. anyway, with knowing that his 3bet% is that low i think donking here will put him in a bad spot alot of the time and if he decides to push i still have some equity, now i ran into the nuts obv so was drawing pretty thin (20%) and he blocked some flushouts as well.

played 2,5h more and just finished of, only 4,5h gaming today but its friday so guess its fine so decided to test my chances at plo100 again for the first time since late oktober. was so much fun to move up in stakes again and im really satisfied with the way i played. when the dust settled ive won 200$ more and finished the day almost 600$ so things is going really well right now. really enjoying playing at the moment!

continued at plo100 today and played for an hour but seems like the good run from last days was long gone, decided to end after just one hour after losing 300 cause i wasnt winning a single pot. think im gonna grind plo50 a little more before i move up next time even though im only down 100 at plo100 over those two sessions, i feel that its so boring to run bad when moving up. but infact, 3bi is nothing at all in plo ofc, but still when im taking semi shots i prefer to end quick if it feels like thing is going bad.

anyway cannot complain after been running good for a couple of days, so gonna take a few hours off and then back to the tbls later!

Back at plo50! played 2,5h session and finished up 152$. was up much more for a while but then i lost a couple of big pots in a row so decided to quit. might play more later..

here's the biggest winner + some hands i lost in the end of the session

usually pot it up here instead of 3x ofc but missed that it was a limp before me, rest of the hand pretty standard i think.

this hand is the most interesting and the biggest one, i open from utg with akt3 ds, one caller and then btn 3bets which is a loose player pre with 16,3 in 3bet%.. so i think this is a spot where its def profitable to go ahead and 4bet, and if i run in to aaxx and face a 5bet i can make an easy fold pre and stays balanced because the other players sees that i dont only 4bet aaxx. anyway he calls and i flopped a pair, gutter and a backdoor fd. get it in against a naked 8high fd and he takes it down.

First hand I would 4bet and get it in vs UTG. If you call, those two behind will call very often blocking your equity vs AAxx (which UTG has here very often right?). It sucks flopping decent vs AA but then theres 2 other people with higher/flush/straight/twopair or whatever. Your doing decent vs AAxx, 4way this hand is not so decent imo. Might seem like higher variance play, but I rather take ~40% equity HU then ~15-20% 4way.

Last hand is fine, you cant do much else then potting 95% of flops.
