I need some motivation. I had a pretty crazy 2016/2017. I had went from $500 to $10k twice before losing it all each time. I was undisciplined and had horrible money management. The first time I had a $10k roll I felt like I earned it. I played on weekends only for a year while keeping my day job. After I hit $10k something switched in me. I felt like I needed to move to vegas to "pursue my dreams." I feel like this was the wrong mentality. I was doing fine where I was and should've just realized how good I had it. Oh well, no time for regrets now!

So I move to vegas in august 2016 and it was intimidating being on my own. I didn't know how to get an apartment, how to buy a car, or anything! I was a life noob and it effected me mentally. I was playing poker every single day when I got to vegas and I don't think I was ready for that. The average player in vegas was much better than the average player in philly. I had a very small winning month my first month but it felt like a huge loss because of cost of living. I spent about $1,500 for my first month there (includes rent). It was a huge dip into my bankroll and I don't think I was ready for that.

The second month I played horrible and was trying to force action too much. I was chasing the $1500 trying to get back to 10k. It ended badly. I ended up having a 5k bankroll at the end of the month. I proceeded to lose more and more over the next few weeks until i was down to my last 3k. I had to make a choice. Either go back home where I'll have to go back to working for my parents business or just try to make it on my own.

I decided to try and make it on my own. I felt like it was too early to use my "last resort" from my parents. I'm saving that for next year!

So I was down to 3k and decided to get job. I found a part time job as a cook for a taco place. It was alright. Pay wasn't great but it wasnt horrible. I did that for about 3 months before I decided to go back to the casino. I went back with $500 and doubled my roll. I got up and left. I came back the next day and won another buy-in. I got up and left. I came back the next day and won another buy-in. I kept repeating this for a while until I had a 3.5k bankroll.

This was during the time when WPT was going on at bellagio. I went to bellagio one afternoon and the waitlist for 1-3 was like 30 deep. So I said **** it. I took a shot at 5-10. Sat down with 1k and cashed out for 4.3k. I was stoked. I moved back down to 1-3 and kept on winning there for the rest of the month. I had about 13k by the end of the month. I decided to take a break and just live a little. I only played poker twice the following month and both times were losing sessions. When I came back to play poker full-time again the month after, I started off losing almost everyday. When my bankroll hit under 10k, it triggered me. I wasn't looking at my bankroll in terms of buy-ins but more as an absolute dollar value. Idk if thats the term for it, but basically I crushed when my bankroll hit under 10k.

So I kept playing for the next 5 months and eventually lost it all. I had one month of rent left. Decided to get a job and have been working ever since.

I gave online poker a shot here and there but I kept busting each $100 deposit. I think I kind of gave up on myself and my dream. I was wanting to turn back time to fix my mistakes. I was borderline depressed.

Fast forward to today. I haven't played much poker in the past 8 months or so. I decided to make a deposit onto global poker for $300 a week ago. I ended up losing most of it playing 1-2. I was down to $4 and ran pretty good and now im at $36. Im gunna use an aggressive brm strategy and try to run up another roll. This will most likely end up as another busto story but who knows. There's a chance it might not

if you guys wanna see some old photos I took in 2017 during my rungood

I also plan on playing in the wsop colossus and a couple of the daily $250 at the rio first week of june so keep an eye out for that. Who knows, I may run super good and just become a millionaire overnight.

Wish me luck...
