Starting this PGC to not only keep record of my journey but also to hold myself accountable.

I graduated from the University of Colorado in 2017.

After graduating I have only played poker for my main source of income. Finding it too much of a burden to drive four hours to the nearest casino, I packed up my bags and made the move to the city of lights, the city that never sleeps, the city where people go to chase the dream of making it big. Viva Las Vegas.

I play mostly 1/2 live and have been making it work but I want more. I also grind online but tend to do poorly online compared live.

Anyways right now I am about to go grind live at Excalibur 1/2.

I want to post my live graph so if someone knows how to post a photo in the thread let me know.

Happy to have people follow along my journey with me and maybe even live vicariously through me.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. This was just kind of a starting intro post and I plan on going into more detail in a follow post.

good luck buddy. I'm a fellow grinder living out in Las Vegas, but mostly play online.

It is tough making a living playing 1/2 live. Vast majority of 1/2 grinders I've met just seem straight up miserable. IMO move up to 2/5 live asap even if it means some relatively aggressive BR management (such as taking 2/5 shots as often as the bankroll allows).

Nice thanks for the words of encouragement. I totally agree on trying to get to 2/5 as quickly possible. If I am winning 7-8 BBs an hour at 1/2 but could do 2-3bbs an hour at 2/5. And just over lifestyle of a 2/5 grinder compared to a 1/2 grinder I imagine is a lot more enjoyable. What makes you play mostly online and not live? As I said I have had trouble online with winning. Guess I just need to put in more study. What site are you playing on? WSOP?

I play on Global, WSOP, and ACR. I mostly play online because my hourly is higher than all but the juiciest 2/5 and 5/10 live games. Honestly I would still play online even if my hourly was slightly lower than what I could achieve in live games. Convenience, not having to sit in a casino, so many more hands per hour, who actually likes full ring? etc.

You're young. You got lots of time. Make sure to make studying a consistent part of your poker routine/schedule!

Hey Adam, I am also grinding live games in vegas. Agree with what Eilyisum said, moving up to 2/5 asap can help you make a better living and improve your game faster. Learn from the best, right? You could use encore' 1/3 as a transition. I saw a lot of bellagio 2/5 grinders will sit at encore 1/3 sometimes. What's the bankroll you are currently working with?

Wow that is awesome that your hourly is so high online. What games do you play online? I agree about the covience of online is crucial.

Yes agreed on the 2/5 as quick as possible. I didn’t come out with as much of a bankroll as I would have liked. Definitely would have done it differently looking back but who wants a real job? So yeah around a 6k bankroll to play with. What games are you playing Zwang?

Guys first session is in the books after starting this PG + C thread. We played for six hours until 3am or so and managed to book a win of 200+.

I also managed to hit a str8 flush with 89 of diamonds. Flop J75 two diamonds turn was the beautiful 10 of diamonds. Awesome session and ready to get back after it today. If you would like me to post more hand history details let me know. Would love to get some advice on how I am playing some hands.

My main game is 2/5 and took some shots at 5/10 recently, but not went well tho. I found I have highest hourly at venetian, then encore, then aria.
