Another swingy but great week!

Spewed a lot and had a lot of fun with some regulars

Since I'm not anymore that close to the stop loss I added 1 table this week, playing 3 right now. Probably go with 4 when I hit 2.5k but we'll see.

Chances are I'll play a bit less next week since I have to deal with some non-poker related things that I procrastinated far too much

GL everybody!

Oh boy, that escalated quickly

CHALLENGE COMPLETED!

Had an insane weekend: did few mistakes, ran above EV and found crazy players literally spewing stacks in my face with WTF plays when I had the nuts.

And here is my NL50 overall:

To be honest I found the field pretty soft, even softer than NL25z as weird as it sounds.
I'm not speaking about results which may be heavily influenced by variance in these small samples, but the pool itself.
I obviously found better regulars on average, but the rec/reg ratio is just ridiculous compared to any kind of NL50 I played before.

Here is my final By Stakes result for the challenge:

and the graph:

So... time to move on!

As previously said, my plan now is to play few tens of thousands hands at NL100z and if I find the field as approachable as it seems from the Lobby, I'll jump directly to NL200z.

I might open a new thread next year, but I'm a bit tired of challenges and it's probably going to be something more chilly where I might also speak a bit more of me in general Probably is also going to be more interesting to follow!

Thanks to all the supporters and especially to the haters who kept me motivated!

Feel free to ask all questions you want, in the meantime... see ya!

Thanks and GL!

I agree with you, looking back NL5 and especially NL2 was kind of a waste of time

Feel free to post the link here when you start the thread or just PM me, will be happy to follow!

Yeah, the link probably expired

Here is the overall graph:

And here the results stake by stake:

The hands were played on Pokerstars.it and NL50 was played at normal tables (since in Italy NL50z doesn't start every day).

It took me half the time to complete the challenge, but I think the main reason was the terrible EV run I had on .com and the fact that NL50 played normal with table selection is obviously more profitable.

The Italian field nowadays is not as soft as people think (or as deal-sellers are telling) and probably the reason is that there is almost no traffic at NL200+, which means that all top regulars who don't want to change country are forced to play Mid-Stakes and there is a lot of "reg congestion" at NL25+.

Really well done in both challenges!! How many hours did this last one take?

Time to do the same challenge in PLO now?

Well, I probably played like 10k PLO hands total in my whole career, so it's probably not going to happen anytime soon!

The challenge took 324 hours

Amazing results man! Congratulations! You are an inspiration to everyone that is struggling at the low stakes. You've also proven that the difference between the fields (.com vs .it etc) is not as big as some people would assume. To greater and greater heights!

Thanks Dan!

Anyway, as promised here I am with the first impressions about NL100z. I played a bit more than 20k hands so far.

The reg / rec ratio is pretty good overall, I'd say pretty similar to NL50.

Some regs are pretty tough to play against (way better than the best NL50 regs), but some others still have huge leaks and are pretty easy to exploit.

All in all, it seems a pretty profitable stake (so far)!

Here is my graph:

Started with a ridiculous upswing (like 14bb/100 or so in the first 10k hands), then the other 10k I felt running quite bad (as an example AA is a losing hand for me in the last 10k, KK break even )

I still don't have a definitive impression on the stake anyway, still not sure if few regulars are pretty tough or just running pretty hot!

I'll leave on Sunday for Italy so I'll have a week break from played Poker. At least I'll have time to set some goals for next year and re-schedule my routine. I'll be in Belgrade for New Year's Eve and I'll start from there my 2019!

I wish all of you nice holidays, see you!

Impressive debut at 100z, please keep up posted and gl !
By the way, any particular reason why your red/blue line ratio almost swapped since NL50+? You play totally different strat?
Cheers and enjoy your holidays!

I think is cause of the better quality of the average regular . While up to NL25 it was really profitable to just hammer everybody, now I'm forced to play more balanced and add more checks in my ranges, which leads me more frequently to showdown.
