I definitely recommend you to visit Ukraine because a lot of ppl don't know how great this country is.

We have a great nature, a lot of nice architecture and overall our life is not like your fancy European/American/Canadian life.

But be careful, there are a lot of bad ppl who would love to scheme a foreign tourist.

Changes.
In light of recent events I've decided to calculate my mistakes looserate.

I used to to this a while back, but for somewhat reason forgot about it.

I used to have a looserate in between of 8 and 20 bb/100.

Today I calculated my looserate for yesterday's session.

Here's a spreadsheet, hope you'll get it.

And I have stuff I need to work on!

How much would it cost to live in Ukraine? I have an apartment in Kiev, so rent would be $0, but to just live the regular life and grind and go to bars on weekends. Nothing fancy.

IAmRobik, let's see. A taxi costs around $7-10 almost everywhere ($20 from the airport). Or you can use a subway (25 cents) or a bus.
A meal in a restaurant is around $20-25.
A night in a bar is $50 at best (if you don't drink some fancy scotch or smth).
If you cook for yourself, then one meal is around $5-$10.

So, overall, you'll be fine with $500-700 for sure.

Ppl's salaries here are even lower.

What is the job market like for people who are bilingual in Russian/English? I'd prefer a job in finance, although from what I hear, the shops are really shady.

How would I know? I don't have a job. But I'm pretty sure that if you're good at something you'll always find a place.

Piercing.
I've decided to get rid of my tongue piercings.

For those of you who don't know, I used to have a piercing under my lip but I took it off over a year ago. And I used to have two tongue piercings. And now I've decided it's time to say goodbye to them.

I can't say what is the reason - the fact I lost a tiny piece of my tooth or that I'm just getting old... But it was damn hard to make this decision.

I've got a feeling that I'm missing something, that I've lost a part of myself, a part of my individuality.

I've had those piercings for almost 10 years.

And so far I need to remind myself all the time that those piercings didn't have any influence on my personality and they were not a part of it.

I am me, with or without some iron thingies. Besides I still have some steel, if you know what I mean.

AFAIK those piercings didn't do any good in any sort of sexual activity.

I physically can not, I am way across the ocean.

And if you're implying something about my age then I might disappoint you because I'm 24.

Why do you think he would x/r his Qx on turn? Did you have specific reads that suggest so?

Hands.
1. Opponent didn't fold to check/raises and had a fold to riverbet of 75%. I decided that since at least a flush-draw got there he'd get scared and would fold even a weakish king. Although he had a WTSD 35 per 167 hands... I don't know what the right river play is. DO NOT discuss a 3bet preflop.
$0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 2 Players
Hero (BB): $95.96 (191.9 bb)
SB: $50.06 (100.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with T Q
SB raises to $1.25, Hero calls $0.75

Flop: ($2.50) K J 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, SB bets $1.88, Hero raises to $6.50, SB calls $4.62

Turn: ($15.50) T (2 players)
Hero bets $8.50, SB calls $8.50

River: ($32.50) 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $79.71 and is all-in

2. Cbets58-67, it was his first time raising my turn bet in this spot. What is the best play? Looks like I isolate myself with a 3bet on the turn but on the other hand I think there's some value in reraising there.
$0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 2 Players
SB: $162.50 (325 bb)
Hero (BB): $65.15 (130.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A 9
SB raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1

Flop: ($3) 3 9 A (2 players)
Hero checks, SB checks

Turn: ($3) 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.40, SB raises to $10.20, Hero raises to $29, SB raises to $161 and is all-in, Hero calls $34.65 and is all-in

hand 1: i dont like your sizings on any street really :C.
hand 2: value from what exactly? you think hes calling a 3bet w 23 or 92?

also did you try out hu zoom?

1. What sizing would you prefer?

2. Value from draws, ofc. I don't know what hands he might've checked back.

I played like 20 hands there, have enough action as it is, but looks like a fun thing to quickly earn VPPs and/or some money.

1. flop sizing is not so bad, i personally like to go smaller, but turn should definitely be bigger to setup a normal sized river shove and charge his draws more
2. im thrown away by his sizing... not many people raise this big w a draw
