Solid advice for sure.. I try to decide beforehand if I'm gonna drink and play for some poker fun, or if I'm playing a session for money.

If I'm sincerely playing to win, I will not drink (no nursing either) just bc in my experience if I start drinking while playing I just continue on to get drunk (why stop? I'm only an addict)

If I get one beer, I would like to say I can win, but drinking and gambling are -EV for myself.

Like, I was gonna play the daily at PH, but instead I'm playing video poker and drinking at PH, they have some live music, so I've decided to just hang back from the table

The chick on stage is pretty hot too, gotta stick around

Just want to say, I have A LOT to grow, A LOT to learn and A LOT of work I have to and am willing to do in order to make it.

No, I don't have to participate in illegal activities In Order to survive, but I do HAVE to be happy in order to gain the emotional stability I am (in reality) after!

I would venture that being a successful gambler is far more work that you even close to realize.

Seriously though, if you want to drink and play really bad video poker games and dick around, by all means, do so and enjoy yourself.

That's probably the most ignorant post I have ever read lol, You can not just go play poker, eat, sleep then repeat it gets lonely and depressing, to a certain extent you need friends or a support system. you think because he has a friend it will derail him at anything it will help him. I speak from experience I did it for 4 years.and im a person who is very content with being on my own but everyone has a point in life where its nice to have a friend that's always there when you need them when your that far from where you used to call home.

He has a thread going on here as well that's pretty entertaining and growing popularity.
He needs to stop constantly "thanking his peeps" though cause that's getting old already.
Some of his Vlogs are compelling watching for what they are.

There was a blogger who went by the name Carmen Sincity back around 2006/7. Maybe some of you oldtimers remember her? She was quite involved in the poker and poker blogging community, wrote for Pokerworks, and was very open about her love of poker, her addictions, her 12 step programs, relapses and arrests. I wanted to link her blog but I can't find it (I think she was on Blogspot) but her Pokerwork articles are still online.

I'm not sure why I thought this was relevant other than Carmen sincity is, like the OP, from Baltimore.
