Hello everybody, first time poster right here

I have had my ups and downs in poker over the years, but I have never really felt that I hold an edge over my opponents, until recently.

8 days ago I started 8 tabling the NL2, just to see if I could beat it. 35,000 hands and I am +$80. I have around $105 dollars in my account. I don't want to be too hasty to move up to the next stake, but given the graph below, is it worth taking a shot at NL5?

I feel like I am absolutely crushing the game, but is it possible I am just being lucky?

Some more stats:

Hands: 35282
Net won: 77.36
bb/100: 10.96
VPIP: 12.3%
STD DEV: 6.95

My actual goal is to get to a situation where I am able to make around $100 per day (5000 hands). Am I being too ambitious with this? I wanted to make sure I could crush NL2 before trying NL5, and so on and so forth.

Thanks in advance for your advice

So I had my first day of playing NL5 today. I played extra long (8 tables) for a total of 7685.

I finished +$43.86 with 11.41bb/100 so I think this is a good start. The players aren't as tough as i thought they would be.

Good luck mate! Are you playing 6max? 100$ per day is my ideal goal too. I think its not that ambitious and its pretty attainable at 20nl-25nl.

Hi Black_Mage! I'm in a similar situation, my NL2 graph:

Well, i tried to make the moveup to NL5 too, but sadly i failed. Lost ~4bi's on 5k hands.

I saw you in there today (I recognise the avatar) I have also been beaten up on the NL 5, and have been forced to move down to NL 2. I'm quite happy to grind up to a higher amount before taking another shot at NL 5. Whenever my mind is on the money or the fact that I am losing, I go on tilt and start making silly mistakes. Here is my graph as it looks right now

By the way, I am Big Nem on pokerstars, and my avatar is black mage:

Haha, Nice! I'll try the move up again today, if i lose 9bi's i'll reach the $200 bankroll and will move down again.

I'm -$0,10 in ~15 hand's with you. When you will take some shots at NL5 again? What are the major differences that you noticed?

I belive that there is a lot of more steal and cbet, and consequently 3bet thin from SB and check-raises on the flop are more profitable than in NL2.
