The main objective of this challenge is to see if I can beat 25NL over a decent sample before taking a shot at 50NL. Being sufficiently rolled is 1 of the criteria as well, so I don't know if I should actually move up if I am rolled mainly due to rakeback earnings.

Today's poker environment is very difficult to beat relying on stats alone. The most successful mass-tabling grinders are only squeezing out 0-3BB winrate, and relying heavily on rakeback and other incentives provided by the sites.

If you want a 5+ BB win rate you're going to have to drop to 2-3 tables and closely observe the betting patterns of all of your opponents.

Your doing good, I'm just trying to get to 25nl, but first I have set a challenge to grind 160k hands at 5nl before I move to higher levels, I enjoy reading your thread it has helped inspire me =)

Sorry to interrupt this thread but I cant resist. Dude, you would be way way better to play 20k hands on 4 tables than 160k hands at 5nl trust me.

gaisuke, how many tables are you playing? It looks like you're playing way to many. If you were to play less tables and spend some time away from the tables analyzing your game you could double your winrate in a week or two and move up a lot quicker.

I don't want to be a ****, just thought I'd give some advice as I've seen far too many people make the mistake of trying to put in a load of volume without actually trying to improve their games. After 100k hands they're still making the same mistakes as before.

Thanks for the advice Birkin. Usually I'm playing 12 but now I drop to a maximum of 9. I'll try my best to reach a good balance between volume and winrate, and I guess 9 should be optimal for now.
