I’m 29 years old and used to play up to the 57.50s (about to move up to 110s) on Pokerstars with mediocre results pre Black Friday. I have about $600 on ignition poker and plan on building the roll through HUSNGS turbo speed and reach the highest stakes, $210s.

I have a full time job, a girlfriend, and two kids (7 yo and 18 month boys) so I don’t have much time during the day to put in a lot of volume. So I’m setting a modest goal to play at least 5 games/day. I’m going start at the $25 games and will move up when I have 30 buy ins for the next level.
I’ll move down if I feel like I need to but am not setting a strict buy in rule.

My ultimate goal is to reach the 210s and have a 10k bankroll. I plan on using this thread as a blog and motivation and will try to update daily with graphs and results. So feel free to follow! I’ll put in my first session tonight and will update after.

Starting Bankroll: $617

So day 1 is in the books won 3 out of 5, will post graph tomorrow. I’m not sure what ROI to aim for but I’m gonna set a goal of 6% for now. I started the challenge with $617 and need $958 to have 30 buy ins for the $52.50s. With a 6% roi it’s going to take me 605 games, it’s been awhile since I’ve done ROI calculations so correct me if I’m wrong. Still have a longggg way to go but am excited to be playing again and tracking my progress. Gonna finish this golden state game then head to bed, waking up at 430am to get a workout in before work. Thanks! And yeah I know I wish I could put in more volume, but my days are stacked with work and kids. I definitely need to study, I felt out of place and unsure in a lot of spots, but hopefully that’ll change the more I play.

Only played 4 games tonight but won all 4 which is nice. My eyes are heavy and I’m satisfied with the profit for tonight so I’ll settle with only 4 games. It feels good to be playing again and having a good start definitely helps. I decided I’ll probably only post my graph once a week since I’m playing such a low volume and doesn’t seem necessary to update with a graph every day. If y’all have any questions feel free to ask! Gonna watch some NBA playoffs and get some sleep, waking up early tomorrow for another early morning workout.

Really wish i had the energy to put in more volume but im so exhausted by the end of the day i have a hard enough time putting my 5 games in lol

My average day looks like this for reference: wake up at 4:30am, hit the gym from 5-6:15am, get ready for work and take my youngest son to my moms so she can babysit (30 min round trip), drive back home and pick up my gf for work (we work together), work 8-4:45pm, pick up my youngest then my 7 year old from school and get home around 5:30pm. Then i interact with kids/chores/dinner until about 8pm when we put the kids down for bed. Get alone time with my gf till about 930 when she goes to bed and i get to play poker and usually play until around 10:30pm and am asleep by 11pm . I'm hoping during the weekend i can find some more time to put in more games.

All in all I'm satisfied with my results so far even though the sample is small, i feel fairly comfortable with competition so far and am still adjusting to the anonymous opponents. I realize this thread will probably be pretty boring with the low amount of volume I'm able to put in at this time so i'' treat this as a general blog as well with other non-poker related content (lifting, family, food, basketball etc). I'll probably post a graph on Sunday after i get a few games under by belt. Anyways im getting some sleep, Night!

Missed my workout this morning and got an extra hour and a half of sleep so I might try and go tonight if I have time.

I might be able to play some extra games tonight and tomorrow since my mom is keeping my youngest over night and I’m off work tomorrow for Good Friday. Also i forgot to mention some details about the challenge, I’m only one tabling for now and play about 70% of my games on mobile and 30% on my laptop.

Thanks! I haven’t since I’ve picked up poker again but def plan to at some point, just going to try and put in the games for now though. But back in the day I used to check out HUSNG . com, not sure how relevant it is now days though.

Won 5 out of 8 games tonight and gonna call it a night, don't feel like im playing great, got a little tilted and lost 3 out of 4 to the same fish. I'm off tomorrow so ima try and get in at least 10 games.

Lost 3 out of 4 so far today. Feel like I’m running into the top of my opponents range a lot and not playing my A game. So I’m gonna wait and play some more tonight.

Only played 1 more game today and lost so I only won 1 out of 5 tonight and am gonna get drunk and play card games with the roomies.

Also have a $100 bet on Portland winning the series so I’ve been sweating that for the hour

Won 8 out of 13 tonight got into a bit of a war with another player and we kept rematching i was 2-5 after my first 7 games then won 6 in a row, 4 off the same opponent who started to tilt and player hyperrrrr aggressive. Glad things worked out bc i started getting pretty discouraged feeling lost in a lot of situations. Started reading Mersennearys Ebook which i'm really enjoying so far and makes me realize how far I have to go and how much more i still need to improve. Also very exciting and making me more motivated to work hard and play.I already feel I have an edge and I feel lost half the time, but have had decent results so far (lol sample) I feel like the more I play/study I'm going to crush HUSNGs in the near future. Also, am entertaining the idea once I move up to maybe the $105 buy ins to start streaming. Let me know if anyone would be interested in watching.
