Quick update on my range work

I've updated the following:
UTG open
MP open
CO open
MP v UTG open
CO v UTG open

As I posted earlier I've mainly used Snowie's ranges but I've altered some of them slightly for spots where I have certain hand groupings that are profitable (i.e. thinking specifically here of mid suited connectors utg.)

When I run the new ranges through my database for last year I would've won just over 13 extra buy ins if I'd used them. Be interesting to see how it ends up when I'm finished with it all.

Posting this hand as I played it so badly and goes against everything I've been trying these past few days (not rushing decisions). I think I was triggered by the fact I'd been donked into by various fish in quite a few hands prior to this when holding nothing. Terrible though, just terrible

Unfortunately I didn't have the information to put him into that bracket and was just quickly clicking call.

Running above EV. This was delivered the other day and when I opened the boxes I realised they'd sent me two of them.

Haha, nice. How's the inner argument going? I think I'd return it pretty quickly but that is indeed the boring play and I'm not saying you should

The dilemma goes like this:
1) Had someone tell me I should sell it and take the easy money
2) A relative told me they were going to order something similar (but much cheaper) at one point

So I have 3 options
1) Phone the company and tell them they sent me it by mistake
2) Sell it on ebay
3) Give it to a relative

I'm kinda waiting to see if they get in touch but if they don't it's going to a relative. The thing is that's probably the most -EV option for me because I know if the company gets in touch I'd give them the money (£500) without telling my relative about it.

Meh, 2018 dilemmas

I would wait 60 days then give to relative.

phone the company and return the bike, then sit in the highest stake you can afford and shove every hand untill you are rich. Karma is the real deal

What's the retail of the bike? Moore than likely they have no way of knowing you have two of em if it was a fk up. I'd try claim it's fkd and get a refund on the warranty, snap buy max ether with it. Pretty sure this is GTO.

Exercise bike looks quality, especially getting 2 for 1

I used to play football every day but these days I seem to be stuck in front of a computer most of the day either doing Poker or DFS.

Getting more exercise in is defo GTO

The bike is great, it's completely quiet as well with no noise at all from it. G/f was on it yesterday and I was in the next room and never even knew.

The company I bought it from sent me an email to see if I'm happy with my purchase. No mention of the second bike in the email though.

Definitely. Unfortunately his bankroll seemed limited to 3 buy ins or so.

Welcome. Hope you got your share from the whale throwing his money around. I played one a while back who's graph was almost the opposite. He was playing close to 100% of hands but was completely sun running and was up over 10 buy ins. He did manage to lose it all very quickly at the end of the session but iirc I was down against him.

I actually miss my little German friend as well. I forget his username now that I'm playing 6max but if anyone is on the 25nl FR tables I could look for it and they could let me know if he's still raging away in the chat

Ive heard some run-good and run-bad stories with bikes recently

My mate just had a baby not long ago so I went up to visit them last night. Him and his gf are really into cycling and they go every wk end. When the baby arrived they moved their expensive mountain bikes outside the flat and locked them up. Somebody discovered that you can unlock them solid steel U-shaped locks with a pen. I checked YouTube last night and sure enough there is videos showing you how to do it. After a few days of having the bikes locked up outside somebody stole both of them.

Had a low volume month as I've been checking a few things out. Watched a few RIO videos (the first in a long time) and then bought a solver(!) so I've been mucking around with that trying to get used to it. I've also started playing on Stars rather than through the FTP skin, so that I can use TST. Just started this tonight, RIP FTP

Anyway, here's my results for the month

Other than some changes to my preflop ranges I hadn't really changed anything in my play. Next month will see some changes postflop though and I'm working on them at the moment off table before implementing them. I'll probably post more hands for comments going along given the changes I'll be making.

Monthly graph looks good results wise over a smallish sample. Sounds like you are making some good moves off the table too with RIO videos and looking at solvers, thats gotta be +EV for your game.

Only had the RIO membership for one month but I felt a litle inspired after watching one of the video makers on there who's game is based heavily on solvers. He's a short stacker though so it's all about looking at his methods for working on his game rather than the answers he was getting for 40bb play
