Ouch, totally gross session tonight.

I was only 7 tabling but managed to lose with sets (one was a boat) on 3 tables at the same time, which is a new record for me. Thankfully two of the villains weren't full stacked but it still stung a bit.

Worst part of the session was losing almost 200bb to a single tabling fish. It was a 4bet pot and I binked tptk and also turned the nut flush draw but his AA had flopped top set

The really frustrating part was that I felt I was playing really well and picking up lots of small pots in spots I'd normally miss and then quickly lost all the big ones so I'm probably down a few buy ins.

Haven't checked my results at all this month but I get the feeling they aren't good. I'm still sticking with 6 max though rather than taking the easy option and going back to FR.

Regarding the filter for pots stats look OK. Many winners have their we at around - 10 to - 18 bb/100. If you're losing at higher than 20bb then you're losing a lot in redline.
The JJ hand easy call and play in position vs his wide range or 4bet/ call.
Gl husker.. Rooting for you.

Flat JJ to keep BTN in (unless you've seen him cold call 4bets with something ridiculous already).

I'm quite surprised at that as I thought I was doing really badly in that spot. It's something that should be improving with the adjustments I've made.

I wasn't overly keen taking JJ to a 3way pot.

I agree with this ... but what do we do on a Axx or Kxx flop when facing a cbet ?

tuning back in.

Sick downswing/upswing a few pages ago. I've never encountered a downswing nor upswing that drastic before, do you play a high variance style Husker, or have I just run close to the curve?

Yup .. thought as much.

Always felt i overplayed hands from 99 to JJ even QQ.

4 betting JJ just always causes me grief , there is literally no flop i feel safe on !

These preflop situations is really one aspect im trying to improve on, when i have enough hands on someone i try to make notes of what hands they continue with and adjust accordingly.

I don't play a high variance style. I feel as though I'm hitting a fair bit of variance, as well as probably making mistakes I can get away with in FR games. If I'm being honest I think my winrate at 6max (if I actually have one) is way lower than my FR winrate and therefore there will be bigger swings when variance hits. At this stage I still don't really know if I'm a winning player in 6max games. I'll be checking my results for the month tomorrow so we'll see how it's been going.

We're probably going to face a cbet a lot and even if it's a low board I get kinda lost if I face a barrel on the turn, whether it be a brick or a scare card. I feel I play weak-tight in this spot even though that may actually be the correct way to play it.

We don't face a cbet a lot because the whale comes along and all of a sudden BB is never cbetting remotely light. We play something that looks 'weak-tight' because of circumstance but it gets x to us very often on the flop and it's actually super +EV

Results are in and as expected they are very poor.

This is my FTP results:

I ran below ev for the month but even that would only have given me a 3bi profit.

This is my Party results:

My showdown winnings are very poor and I suspected that would be the case. My W@SD has been low on both sites but on Party it's less than 50% which is very unusual for me.

There are some hands from this mornings session below which show the general trend for the month. Actually, on reviewing some hands it seems there's a bit of a trend where I've been owned by fish a ton.

1) That turn raise had me pretty sure I was beat but there's no way I can fold imo

So what can I take from this month? Well I think I've run bad and the initial evidence seems to point that way (low W@SD) but I'll look into it deeper over the next few days. If I was a better player (at 6 max) maybe I wouldn't have lost so much though. At this point I think I'm pretty much a breakeven player at 6max. I still need to keep working on my game in spots where I don't feel I'm up to scratch yet.

On a positive note, since I got my Pokermetrics report and videos last week I've made some positive changes. Looking at the area concerned has shown an improvement to the level I want to be at and I think I can actually improve on this further.

One final thing, FT only allows 6 tables of each game type so I sometimes add in a couple of FR tables when I'm there

Spoiler:

I'm still resisting any urge to go running back there with my tail between my legs

Onwards (and hopefully) upwards
