Hands above specifically the two ak hands and kq hand show me a consistent mistake you're making on really awful runouts. Awful runouts are certainly an annoying part of run bad but making poor river plays is killing you long run.

You correctly are identifying that the runouts are really poor for you then you check river to bluff catch or allow them to bet worse and then you checkcall. This is generally pretty bad since they will always bet better but you don't know how often they'll value bet thinly, bluff (many potential bluffs improved though so it's hard for them to have pure bluffs), or check back worse. Also in the micros people tend not to go that thin or turn sdv into bluffs on bad runouts for you. So you keep putting yourself in spots to lose the max and make the least.

You should prefer to be b/fing these spots or c/fing not spite c/cing because your hand was very strong on flop/turn but now medium str at best otr. Personally in these games I would be going bf almost always and c/fing with strong reads. C/c is a rather large mistake against most.

Yeah I agree with what you're saying.

I think there are 2 issues for me here, one is that because I'm new to the site I have either no hands or only a small sample against some of the players and I tend to give unknowns less credit than I probably should. The other one is to do with the mental game. I'm aware that I'm more than likely not good but because I'm getting killed at SD I think 'surely I've gotta be good THIS time?' and then end up taking the worst posible line. I should really get back to taking my own advice anout river play and bet more but make a decision before I bet as to what I'll do when raised, rather than going for a check-call where it doesn't make sense to do so.

I actually scraped out a very small profit at FTP but my results at Party were terrible. I've seperated out the results for Party below:



The thing is, I actually think my results are worse than the graph shows as I think I don't have all the hands I've played on Party. I remember getting stacked 200bb deep at one point with KK on a K88 board (villain flopped quads) but it isn't in my database. So all in all it's been a disappointing month.

That happened to me today .. but with TT v 77.

Last night i folded to a big squeeze when holding QTs only to watch in horror as i would have flopped a Royal and worse ... watch the first guy open jam the flop and the other guy called.

Oddly .. that would have been my third Royal of the month in around 12k hands.

That kind of looks like me. I ran a filter for only 25nl hands this month. I'm winning at like1.5bb and ev is 10bb over 20k hands. Variance is a bitch for real.

Keep battling mate and make sure you are mentally ok. I find that has the biggest effect on my results

As for ranges, until recently I've just been playing what felt right after transitioning from Full Ring. However I'm looking to rebuild my game on solid foundations and I've started trying to follow certain preflop ranges recently. Once I've got all that hard wired I'll be going over my flop play.

Secret to success in 6-max is to minimize the amount of mistakes from each street. That starts with PF obviously. Keep up the good work!

can i ask why? Is it because when villain calls flop his ranged is capped to a degree, especially when villain checks back turn? Sets would raise flop because its so draw heavy? Also villain doesnt really have many 8x in his range, 108, 98, J8 (i doubt), 68 & 78.

2) I think I butchered this in a couple of spots. Villain is playing 22/19/11.2 but is folding to 72% of 4bets. This should be a call and I should be 4betting worse Kx and Ax hands. I'd called a couple of times previously with decent hands and completely missed the flop so that influenced my decision. Also, once he's called I don't think I should be betting. I know folding top pair in a 4bet pot seems lolbad but my hand looks very much like AK and yet he's raising me. I think he has AK at the least so I don't mind my fold. I do believe the 4bet and the bet on the turn were mistakes though.
