Hello. I am a semi-pro trying to make it in poker. Title says it all. I want to be playing 1knl by the end of the year. Currently playing anything up to 2/4 with a single table of 3/6. Also planning on moving out to Las Vegas at the end of September. I'll be heading out there for a test run in late August to see how it is.

A few thoughts on the hands:

H1: Not sure if I'm a huge fan of your line here. Pre is fine obviously, and so is flop even if I'd x/c some % of the time vs competent players.

The turn is absolutely disgusting for us and I'm personally never betting it, and I'm curious as to why you are. What are we hoping to get value from? And when villain shoves anything but folding seems crazy to me. The average reg doesn't have nearly enough bluffs in this spot to justify a call from us.

H2: I wouldn't cbet flop here simply to avoid spots like the one you ended up getting yourself into. You're gonna be value-towning yourself way too often if you're cbetting boards like this in 3b pots. I'd check the flop and put in a vbet on a later street. We're far more likely to get called by a worse hand OTT or OTR than OTF.

H3: You played this hand fine imo. Even if I think we have to call river some % of the time vs competent villains. If you know he wouldn't bluff in spots like this then sure, folding's good.

H4: Meh, this hand is whatever. I feel like we may be over-bluffing in this spot if we're betting without any additional equity OTT, even if I don't mind the turn bet. The river's obviously horrible for us though, and we have to give up.

Regarding the AK hand I dont like bluffing river as ppl just dont like folding boats altho I can def see merits in shoving this combo otr on a screenname site against someone you have enough stats/reads I dont think u get enough folds on Bovada.

The KQ I dont like flatting vs utg in mp, Id rather 3bet as played I know he reps super thin especially after that turn but there is also Qh otf and u having Kh makes it less likely he has fdraws and its just not a line most ppl would take as a bluff as original raisers.

I feel like I need to follow through on river. 2 big blockers to AQ/KQ, don't really want to see something like 99 check back river when a bet might get through.

KQ, There are some AXhh wheel draws that can do this, but I guess he can take this line with over pairs and AQ too. I think I should have mucked.

As for this hand:



I only need around 25% when he jams. Obviously it's not the best card, but he will show up with some semibluffing hands that includes a heart/turning a hand into bluff/etc. The fish on Bovada do get pretty creative from time to time

the turn bet itself is pretty odd though, but yeah if it's against a fish i guess everything is fine. vs a good reg i wouldn't bet and i wouldn't call it off either since you're never gonna have 25% vs a shoving range in that spot.
