Also reading Zorba the Greek by Nikos Kazantzakis, very insightful, entertaining and thought provoking so far.

Very swingy day, no spots went my way most of the day till the end. Meditation check, stretching check, calithenics check, also 90min coaching session on improving learning and general concepts which I will write up more about in another post.

Really need to adjust my schedule, 200 is very dead during European day time on PS and most other places. Usually starts to pick up around 7pm+ and iv been waking up early for ages and by 10pm my brain starts shutting off. Iv been trying to stay up later but end up waking up super early and then tired most of the day, if anyones got any tips and training yourself to sleep in more it would be great lol, I feel like theres something ingrained to wake up so early everyday no matter when I go to bed.

Also just ordered a decent ergonomic chair, backs starting to feel **** all over the place grinding on this busto kitchen chair with no real support and an ergonomic seat thing apparently +ev too

Otherwise study is going very well, learning new things almost daily and slowly implementing them in to my game. Also binked a $50 chest today - biggest one this year. Daily meditation, workout and stretching I dont really skip so not much point noting.

Regarding your sleep schedule it's like with a lot of things we are used to. We are creatures of habits and if your body is used to wake up early then one or two nights won't change anything. If your mind shuts down at 10 pm and you follow the hint and go to bed, you won't get to know when the mind is sharp again cause you will sleep till the morning.

I experience the same at this time of the day (funny that we have 10 pm here right now ) but I just accept it because soon this "down" is over and then I will enjoy the silence and between 3-6 am often had great times.

Can't give you helpful advice in here bc you also doing sports. The combination of physical and psychological exhaustion should be very strong and you'd better be following your body's signals then and just go to bed. So maybe you'll try to avoid hard workouts for a while and every day you go to bed 30 mins later. By the end of the week you might see already a difference while your body will still wake you up early morning. You need to deal with that, stay strong and eventually he will then adapt after a few more days and take the necessary sleep he needs in order to keep everything working fine.

Thanks for the advice man, yeah the habit is strong but iv always woken up early-ish, pushed through a bit more tonight put in an extra hour but definitely feel more fresh earlier on haha. Ill probably extend it 15min at a time till like 1am then sleep.

Today started off pretty much a continuation of yesterday, but then began to hold and got some momentum.

The ergonomic chair cushion arrived and since iv been sitting on it (although still old busto chair) my back pain has decreased by 80%, feels good. Chair arrives next week look forward to putting it all together.

Games were outrageously good earlier today. Had about 2600 across my 3 plo100 zoom tables and the regular 1/2 tables had basically no regs and just fish buying in for their whole $130 rolls

Well, yeah 100plo is much softer and runs all the time. 200 has more regs much less fish but the games are still good during certain hours. Whats your s/n?

Just wrapped up another swingy day, started off losing everything left right and center. Actually thought I was stuck quite a bit, surprised to see im in the green, not that it matters too much. I was going to stop looking at daily results but it dsnt really affect me and im always curious haha (some interesting discussion in Morris's thread who plays NL)

Threw in a $5.50 scoop last night hu zoom for fun alongside my cash tables came like 50th-ish from 25k people lol picked up $220ish, now got a good stack in the $55 plo 6max - bubble just finished too.

Day off cash, kinda annoyed had a big stack going into the final 60ish players of the $55 plo scoop with 29k up top. Got in on the flop 45bb (3b pot) top two + fd on QJ5 with QJ84ds bvb vs an aggro donk who had nfd and he hit obv, dont think I can do much else there. Got $360 but Donkaments

Barely got any sleep last night and had a rough headache most of the day, studied for 3h watched some of the MJ series and assembled new chair, no more kitchen chair played 50 hands won $200 but gona rest up and put in volume again from tomorrow. Think im going to fully ditch zoom, even though overall im doing ok there I just seem to autopilot after a while and rake seems pretty bad with a much lower wr. Its probably a lot better at 500 when the pool is decent with the rake drop.

Last two days I put in some extra work on my game and I feel I had some breakthroughs (mainly around the production of ev in relation to denying realization). Added another site which seems good for now. Got rid of one since I could see shady things going on.

Running very poorly in all lots of spots where ev isnt realized accurately ie this

80/20 pre and then 8bb otf spots getting in deadish



Otherwise cant complain, playing well and the games are good. Hoping the 2nd half of the month is a bit smoother.

New chair with ergonomic seat thing have literally cured all back aches i developed in a couple of days

So Iv decided to do weekly goals and one longer weekly blog/report on Sundays - One longer post per week with some hands thrown in here and there during the week.

Goals till Sunday 19/05 to 24/05
- 2.5k hands a day with (Mondays off from next week)
- 3 study sessions till Sunday

After taking a day off, I got the itch to grind some NL again after a couple years off

Seems like I still got it, jumped in the day time 100z pool which seemed quite reggy but fun battles - applying what iv learnt in PLO.

To be honest I experienced some frustration the past two weeks with PLO, as with most PLO regs I speak to it can really get to you at times (or maybe im still a variance noob). My 200nl results halved quite quickly losing lots of spots where I was a large equity favorite (enough complaining). I was planning to take a break for a 2-3 days but ended up jumping in the zoom 100NL pool. Had not played NL on PS for a couple years but the games at those limits at least seem very healthy. Obsessed with maintaining a WWSF over 50 felt nice to be able to leverage my whole stack and play lots of HU situations unlike PLO where most go multiway.

Moving forward, my clear goal is to make HSPLO and I got back into it the past two days and will obv continue there but adding NL once in a while is refreshing. I also decided to spread my action across even more sites and im waiting for funds to be sent over hence why iv played only 50plo last couple days. Really want to play less PS with the traffic/deals out there in other places.

Outside of poker ended up grinding out the MJ Last Dance series which was entertaining to say the least, not really a basketball person but his life in general is very interesting. Need to work on keeping healthy a little more since gyms are closed I have been a bit lazy, I tend to get skinny fast and bodyweight stuff isnt as fun

Put in considerably less hours than I planned on was aiming for 6 a day but ended up much less, feel like I was approaching burn out so I eased off.

Mixed feelings about this month, not thrilled with results but cant complain ran fairly well. I dropped 200plo mid way since I felt I wasnt playing my A game + As mentioned above feeling some burn out accumulating lately, wanting to sleep more and poor focus at times. I tend to go through cycles of driving hard with grind/studies then hitting a wall of quite hardcore burn out which im trying to fix (unsuccessfully so far). Going to rest up tomorrow and put in reasonable volume again next month. I decided to work with Simon for general poker structure / keeping on track and look forward to see how it develops. Also, gf is coming back from overseas, got stuck with the whole quarantine thing and its been 2 months so I plan on having a few extra days off with her

June Goals

- 30min warmup everyday
- 2x a week solver work / on non solver days 30min a day of revising current topic
- 4hours of poker per day / 1 rest day per week
- 1 session with Simon (evaluate progress and structure)
- Gyms reopened so going to start a rowing program with compound lifts only
