I started playing poker 2007 and was a long time break even NLH player. Start playing PLO around 2010 for fun..Than took a long break from poker. I have a day job and started playing poker 2 years ago for fun...But couldn't win and I had no chance.Got crushed everywhere. I lost over 10k$ at PLO in the last 2 years playing small stakes PLO50 and PLO100. Than I took another break and start playing last week again..I watched some videos and get some coaching and it begins to turn around:

I am playing PLO50 at party atm with 40 buy ins and my goal is to move up as soon as possible to PLO100.

40 BI seems on the low side even for a strong winning player

You'd probably be better off starting at PLO25 if you're not positive you're a winner in the games you're playing, unless you can reload $2k no problem

Had a tough day. Played a lot of hands to get the better feeling for the player pool at PLO50. More than 2 stacks down today:

Lost some coinflips on the flop and had some bad run outs overall.
But also win a nice pot, where I didn't expect that 2 guys would call here. Was trying to c/r the flop didn't work, so I bet the turn (didn't expect someone has a str8 here) and bet the river for value:

Tough week so far..Was taking first shots at PLO100 and got crushed like everytime...(dropped about 6 buy ins there)..But than I fought back and have played a solid poker at PLO50 like today:

running good, playing good, stay in control.I am very happy with my A-game right now. Have good reads at the players. My understanding of the game/position and ranges, bets and raises is a lot better than one year ago, where I got crushed...
I try to figure out, how I can handle the bad days better to protect my bankroll and my winnings..On the bad days I am going to lose in 2 hours my whole winnings of the week.Thats sucks.
My way in poker is not easy, I am struggling with the right mindset the whole time..
But I think right now I play much better overall than one year ago. So I am happy with my progress so far as a player and looking forward to the next month.

I am happy with my results so far. Had only two bad sessions, where I lost more than 6 buy ins and played really poor.
If I play my A-game, I am sure I can win at this stake constantly. Will stop taking shots at higher limits and focus more on my weakness how I can handle the bad days better...
