Olliessssss. For the readers, Tgiggity and I just got back to our places after being hogs and going there again today after being there right when it opened on Wednesday . We both loaded up on gelato too, will be interesting to see if any survives the evening #fatboys

Soooo my buddy Jason took off late this morning. I had a real late night as he and I binged S1 of Peaky Blinders together yday afternoon as the weather was absolute **** and so we didn't wanna go drink anywhere/leave the condo. I finally went to sleep at like 2am and then at 3am this little (She's 4 ft 9 inches / 1.45 metres, legit super tiny lmao) super cute, super giggly, great personality etc 19 yr old girl that I met a few months ago hit me up saying she wanted to come over as she had just gotten back to town from Sinaloa. So she was over and that didn't lead to much sleep either. Jason left at about 10:15am and then I dropped her off at her place around 11:30am.

I had originally planned on grinding all afternoon and evening on Friday but due to her coming over so late, that didn't happen. Will be putting in a short sat session tomorrow and running to load up on cash so that starting Sunday, I can be completely locked in every single day of the Turbo Series.

Super duper fail of a January lulz. Didn't grind hardly at all and also didn't play terribly well in the 25bb IMO and didn't hardly study either. I guess it's whatever, but definitely need to focus up and start getting after it.

It's a subject Ruse and I have talked extensively about. Once I'm in grind mode and playing every day, it actually becomes quite easy to just stay in grind mode as your brain basically trains itself to just be fine grinding + studying all day, every day. When I go into those modes, it becomes really difficult for me to handle day to day real life events, but yea, it's always when I've made the most money playing poker and when I really feel like everything clicks into gear. I'm hoping that the Turbo Series is going to be the beginning of having everything fall back into place and I'll start printing again...we can hope!

That MTD Breakdown, no good at all

Maybe Alisha's booty can bring the rungoot . As I said above, I miss that booty almost every day

Well, bit of an interesting start to the Turbo Series. We've been having horrific weather which is super unusual. Tons of rain and wind etc, been horrible. We lost our power for most of Saturday and I ended up making the decision to pack up my grind station and take it to my buddy LBBigSlickAK's house. Thankfully I did that as Bfizz ended up staying here at Calafia and said the internet was **** all day and I likely would not have been able to be on the hyper sat grind as there was tons of 10+ second lags.

Shoutout to my buddy Rich and his GF though for taking me in. Was great to grind a session over there; we've known each other for over 7 years now and had never grinded a session together heh. Also shoutout to TheLipoFund as if the power went out at Rich's place, we were going to quickly try to get over to his place and finish our session there. And same if his power out, he was going to get over to Rich's and join us on the grind. Gotta love the team effort

Anyhow, was Super Bowl after the Sunday session and ended up drinking far too much and decided to skip Monday as when 6am rolled around, I had 0 intentions of putting my grind station back together and then hitting the grind . That better be the only day of the series I miss though (unless something I can't control comes up, like bad weather)!

Graph of my first 2 days of grinding the Turbo Series, Sunday and Tuesday. Going to study some spots and then get to bed as we have another long grind day coming up! GLA

U just have some badrun in this SKOs so dont worry .I had sinus infection also last month but cure it for 5-6 days with antibiotics and some other stuff but had very bad headaches .Why not try to stream sometime ,mby u can become regular steamer and this pay off in longterm to reduce few tables so u can talk during stream .I play the 1$ skos cuz they fill very fast with fish and the "regs" of years before are gone mby cuz of the rb remove and they are so easy even with the 8% rake ,on 3$ level and above i see a lot of regs but i ddnt grind them ,just play for fun + little profit ,dont know if i can become winner at 3-10$ levels without solvers or something like that.

Wish you the best this year Josh. You have a million dollar mind, soul, and body so I hope you take care of your health and max that future ev. And fade the clap.

Sick volume catch up past week or so dude! That's insane!

Hows the weather on the West coast? I think we've been fortunate in Playa, few crazy pour downs!

Yea my allergies and sinuses really love to act up at times as well, it's brutal!

I'm not really interested in streaming at this point, but it might be something I do in the future. Just isn't something I think I'd really like at this point with how I grind. Plus I like to be in my own little world while I'm grinding...singing along to music or watching Netflix or whatever else

I think you can probably for sure beat through the $5s without putting any work in on your game. The $10s I've noticed can get a bit reggy at times although they are obviously mostly super **** regs. Fun format the SKOs though yea

Thx for the kind words Jae, much <3. Right back to you, kill the MTTs this year! Hope you continue to update somewhat regularly as I enjoy your posts

Haha yea, I've started going super hard again and am ready to continue cranking out volume post Turbo Series as well!

We've had a lot of rain and winds lately which has sucked. Has also been absolutely cold as **** at night and in the mornings. Like 50-55 degrees fahrenheit inside the condo, super cold temps lulz

So, as I alluded to above, I've been going very hard. Something I've talked about many times in the past is that I think for me personally, I actually have a lot more success when I'm playing poker basically every day. I really get dialed in and I've usually had my most profitable times when I'm playing like 90%+ of days throughout a 20+ day timeframe. I've finally found that rhythm again and am feeling pretty good right now.

Buuut, since getting sick with the heart and anxiety related stuff, I'm realizing that I have to be careful. I had to skip Monday as I could tell I was much too fatigued to actually be able to play. If I managed to make it through the grind without an anxiety attack/something else, I wouldn't have played well at all. One other day this week, I realized the anxiety was coming on, and I ended up taking a quick break so I could take a 30 minute nap. If I'm well rested, I'm basically good to go.

That makes me think to previous years during COOPs where I'd grind all day and then go out for drinks or party or whatever. I'm not really sure how the hell I did it lulz . Felt super great waking up after like 5 hours of sleep and a ****ton of alcohol, and now if I don't get 7+, I'm completely dead. #GettingOld

Anyhow, I've finally almost dug myself out of that nasty little hole I dug myself into start the year when I ran badly in the 25bb! I think I still plan to play some sessions 25bb after the Turbo Series ends, but I'll mostly be sticking to playing them after peak and at a lower abi. Though I'm still, per the usual, playing a fair amount of $200+ when the high stakes games run.

Top SS line with the graph attached below is my YTD low-midstakes...like I said, almost dug myself out!

Last night went to my home bar, the brewery + sushi place that is right up the road. My homey Shana and her 3 kids accompanied me. Was a really fun night, needed a night of BSing with her and the kids are always a riot as well.

My and tgiggity's new favorite thing there are the lamb burgers. They're so bomb, come from a farm right across the highway. That's one thing that's cool about this place, everything comes from Mexico and much of it is local from the Rosarito/Ensenada area. They sell some coffee that are beans from Oaxaca (way down south by Puebla where my ex Lupita is from) and I know some of their fish comes from Sinaloa, but yea, a ton of it is super local, within a 50 KM radius.

I got the mushroom bacon lamb burger last night. They have 6 different ones, gotta change it up every once in a while and try them all

And on the side got some shrimp tacos as I was hungry as hell .

This is my new favorite beer at this spot It's not a house brew, but comes from another brewery in the area. It's called like Laluperusa IPA or some ****. The name is very difficult to pronounce and I definitely spelled it wrong as well and too lazy to try to find it on google ATM hehe.

Other than this, I'm a big fan of the Session IPA, the backside blonde ale when I want something light, their house Kolsch that I can't recall the name of and their Hazy Pale Ale is pretty damn tasty as well. They usually have about 15-20 beers on tap at a time and are continuously rotating beers in and out and trying out new ****, it's pretty nice to always have new beers to try.

And lolz, Shana's son saw the fish and instantly wanted to grab it. Owner here is really cool and is actually a former poker player himself, and with how often we come in, we get that home field treatment

I justttt busted my last 2 mtts, so going to get off the computer for a bit and eat some dinner. Will need to hit the study grind for a bit and then get to bed as I'm planning on trying to wake up for the 5am kickoff + early turbo series event. GLA tomorrow!

Getting up for the morning grind is such a challenge for me.

Hopefully get a nice routine going for a 9am start!

9am start, that must feel nice haha . The alarm going off at 4am is never fun

Quite tired after the big grind today. Felt I played too many tables early-midway through my session but then got it under control. Pretty pleased with the results today, the small sample of HS's didn't go well but had really nice results on the day for the low-mid stakes.

I'm going to get off the computer for a while before coming back and doing a bit of light study. A shorter grind to come tomorrow, might just play from Bounty 44 through the Hot 109 and skip the late $55 event.

02-10-2019 , 08:21 PM
Oh yea, I'm getting a kitten soon after the Turbo Series ends. My homey Shana still has 4 left from this litter, he's by far the biggest and is likely going to be a pretty big cat just like his dad.

He's 4 months now. Already litter box trained etc. This week he's going to get fixed and Shana will hopefully be bringing him out one of the first few days post Turbo Series. I'm excited as from the day I was born until I moved to Vegas at the age of 19, I had never lived a day of my life without at least 1 animal in my parents house...and we usually had multiple animals

Name recommendations? I really suck at this sort of thing. My mom wants me to name him Wrigley in honor of Wrigley Field for her Chicago Cubs lulz

02-10-2019 , 08:33 PM
Pets are great! I suck at coming up with names too lol. Maybe name him after one of the cubs players instead?

aww man aeron and no embody??

i already knew my cats name when i got him. was gonna be archer for him, lana for her. when i'm mad i could do the lanaaaaaaa! and when not, lana del rey style calling.

idk how true, but ive heard 2 hard syllable names are best for pets. if you're a cubs fan (yawn) could always go with sammy. i would say sosa but if any rap is true, i wouldnt want to yell that in mexico

Cats are great for anxiety.

Nothing better than curling up with the cat in bed and watching my favorite streamer after a rough day.

https://ibb.co/h2bVnBq Zelda and me chilling before I left for my travels! Miss her a lot!

My cat's a she and my condition to get one was that I could pick the name: All-in. Great one if you ask me, would let you borrow it.

Yeaa, I really miss having pets and would love to have a dog, but they're too much responsibility for me. It would be impossible due to the sat + mtt grind sessions I put in. Cats are obv much easier though.

Still thinking on the name....

Haha I got that chair from my buddy for $250, was well worth it with how good of shape it was in ($1200ish originally).

Lol that's great, love the idea behind those names . Yea Sammy could be a possibility, really still up in the air on a name right now.

I've been slacking lately on the vehicle front. My mechanic was waiting for me to order some parts and I was having problems getting cash down here in person for a while.

That + the Durango was acting up for a bit and he's been stuck on it. Started shifting out of 1st gear incorrectly, luckily it was just a solenoid and not the transmission. Also almost got into an accident in it the night of the Super Bowl as some (likely drunk) driver came across the median into my 2 lanes of the highway and I had to swerve to miss him (ending up on the other/incorrect side of the median myself) and lock the brakes up before running into the steel barrier where the dropoff is about a 30 foot drop. Started pumping the ebrake with my left foot while braking with the right and then threw it into neutral and hoped we wouldn't flip to end up saving us from hitting the guardrail. Knew that just throwing it into a lower gear wasn't going to slow us down in time. I'm assuming almost everyone else would have ended up in an accident in that situation...mixture of vehicle knowledge, fast reflexes and some runhot kept me from being in one myself. But yea, did **** up the one caliper and burned through the one brake pad, but all good go to in that regard now.

He's finally finishing the suspension on the Durango this week though. Actually sent me a video of them doing some welding on the front as I'm typing this. So soonnnn I hope he'll be actually working on the big truck.

Yea I'm excited to have the cat. Think it will for sure end up helping me with my anxiety.

Would love to hear some more input on the name for the cat. My mom suggest Scoop, which I kind of like as it could also reference to SCOOP 2016 when I won all the money

Unfortunately today I had 2 few mini panic attacks. I think it's just due to me being over tired/not enough sleep. Will hopefully make it through the grind no probs tomorrow! I definitely think that having a cat with me will help me out in that regard. Actually post grind I instantly went up to Bfizz's place so I could play with Junior for a bit and BS with Bfizz. Feeling better after my little trip upstairs

Day graph here

And there it is, back to the normal results I'm used to! MTD sat results. I sware I'm going to figure out how to beat these 25bb post Turbo Series though

Going to do a slight amount of studying and then might try to take a nap. The new chica, my little Mini, is going to come over later this afternoon to hangout for the evening. I told her I had 2 mini panic attacks and she said she was going to make me better for the grind tomorrow (monkey) . She came on last Thursday with food and drinks and everything without me even asking, this little 19 year old is surprising me!

Your assistant lady couldn't handle 1-2 of the dog walks a day as part of her duties? Or getting a cheap dog walker in the area?
02-11-2019 , 06:47 PM
Susy is only here with me 2-3 days per week. It really just wouldn't work and also if any random thing happened, it would end up ruining the grind for the day if she wasn't here. I've witnessed it too many times with Bfizz that if Fernanda wasn't right there to deal with it, gg all concentration and potentially the whole grind for that moment. And since I have a very specific timeslot to grind and am mass tabling games with very little time to act/timebank/etc, I really just can't afford it.

From having Munchies here when Alisha lived with me, the once a week she had university all day was really too much for me to handle and I started making her take him to her Mom's house on Saturday. I'd have to find a sync break to take and then hurry up and get him outside to the bathroom and then be flying back up here in time to start loading again. It'd stress me out and also cost me money, 2 big no nos put together heh

I just don't want that sort of responsibility at this point tbh. Cats are obv way easier so I'm glad I'm starting with just him

Yea agree, didn't want to toot my own horn (+ know I ran a bit hot there anyway), but I truly think 98%+ of people end up in an accident there. Even with my lightning fast reactions, we stopped like 3 feet from hitting the guardrail.

Hahah upswing or swing, i kind of like those. I plan on spending some time with him before naming him, see what ends up fitting him. Apparently Shana's kids named him Josh lol, that certainly won't work long term

Well, pretty miserable traffic today. Funny how when the series starts all these idiots play in these super **** lobbies and then 1 week in, everyone is burned out or have lost money/not EVing anything, or both . Was okay though, I am pretty worn out and having a slow day was just fine. It looks like tomorrow during peak should be pretty crazy traffic starting around the Hot 82 time and running through Hot 109, so hoping to rest up well tonight for that.

Super duper **** weather here and it's apparently supposed to be this way for days. School is already cancelled for the next 2 days and everything. Am hoping the power is going to hold but ****, who knows. Going to be quite tilting if I lose power either tomorrow or Sunday as my EV should be very high on both of those days.

Couple ****ty days of results, at least my EV has been fine

Also here's a little sneak peak at the Durango. The leafsprings and blocks are finally on the back, and holy **** at how much it lifted it :O :O. Now my mechanic has the front spacers left to put on which are going to be a huge *****. Hopefully that will raise it enough to even it out. If not, we're going to have to figure out what we're going to do...should be fine though.

New, bigger tires + rims from the US are going to be very important to get ASAP after we're done as it's going to look ******ed as **** driving it like this as the tires are going to look much too small lulz.

Haha yea I understand, and I guess nobody is going to take any of the first days off, but if they did that, they'd actually make more money most likely as the games get softer .

You too mate, gl rest of the series

Soooo, I actually got my kitten last night. We're having all the storms and rain and whatnot and I told Shana she could bring him over when she came to do my massage if she wanted. It's taken him until this afternoon to get a bit comfortable, but now he's exploring the room and been chillin with me in the copilot chair which is right where I want him to learn to chill when we're in here working

Couple quick photos of him I'm sure there will be more of him to come ITT in the coming weeks . Would have a little 10 second video right now, but google drive is taking forever to process my uploads atm heh

Grind was pretty **** today, ran way under at both 6m and 16m, but at least I made a comeback on the day!

Gonna try to get a good amount of study in tonight. I'm thinking of potentially starting super late tomorrow at the Bounty 109 start time to give myself a bit more rest, but I guess I'll see what time I go to bed and how I feel when I wake up.

Early event is the 55rebuy which probably won't get too great of sat action, and I'm expecting the Bounty 215 to be very slow and very little to no $181+ action to the higher stake stuff. Due to that, I think it's a good opportunity to sleep in a bit as I'm not interested in filling in with Bounty 44 or anything like that anymore on the slow days of the series.....too old and withered for that
