Hey Slayer, I got a question 6 max hypers, early stage... how do you play A-10s? I have a issue with them, I tend to min bet/3bet them but find that their weak post flop by a call and if I get jammed after I raise I find their prob beat, so idk how I should be playing them the first 2-3 blind stages... also I bought HRC like you said but not sure what I should be studying ... is it possible maybe you can help me out on studying for these 6m hypers? And is it possible I can get a video of you playing a sessions? Sorry for such the long message but I’m working hard to get to your level!

Also one last thing, whats your skype and how much would you charge me to have a fast 1 on 1 just explaining what I need to go pro in 6m hypers... I would really want to talk with you before I drop everything and and try full time, anyways like always thanks

Hey ace_bluff, I don't really share any strategy for the hyper turbos as it's not a good idea for me to do so. I'm sure somewhere if you look between google, youtube, 2p2, etc etc you will find some good info on studying with HRC and studying hypers/sngs in general.

I mark a lot of hands while I play and run the spots in HRC afterwards. Bubble hands where I'm not sure if I should push/fold/call all the way to 6handed jam/fold/call/limp spots to see if my ranges are good/bad. You should start there as it's the easiest. In order to run postflop sims you have to have a lot more knowledge of how to use PIOsolver for example

Waddup all, bit of a while since I've updated. Was pretty low energy and felt pretty out of it most of last week ,but snapped out of it and have myself back on the right path.

Now that Bfizz is back from Vegas, he and I are going to be working together on a daily basis on improving our lives. Starting off small and will be building up over time in regards to workout requirements, potentially diet requirements, etc. But ATM we are both just working on basically living sober lives (alcohol being the vice) and getting back into a good daily routine both on the tables and off it.

For the first week, we're keeping it simple
-7 days of no alcohol to 'win' a night out drinking together. Can be dinner somewhere, at the brewery, going to a bar, whatever. But we'll be drinking together to celebrate
-Walk 1mile (4 laps around Calafia, might be more than 1mile) together along with junior his pitbull pre poker or post poker.
-Grind 5+ days and stick to the schedule we've laid out

Like I said, easy first week just to get into the routine. We've both been pretty unhealthy and definitely not living optimally at all for the past while, so have to start somewhere. Will be ramping up the requirements over time and also both trying to be more active and doing more quick workouts in our condos even though it's not officially part of our deal/a requirement yet.


In terms of the grind, I plan on starting much earlier than I'm used to starting on Tues, Thurs-Sat and sometimes on Mon/Wed. About 5am-8am my time there tends to be more 25bb and 25bb SKO action on PS than there is from 9am-12pm or 1pmish which is kind of interesting. I've basically never hit that timeslot but am going to push myself to be up and on the tables by 6am or so and grinding a quick session of 25bb/25bb SKO.

Mon: Recovery day, 25bb grind if I find time
Tues: 6am-8am 25bb sesh. Break for bfast. Sats BB44-Hot 109. Break for lunch. Back to 25bb grind until games die for the night
Wed: Recovery day. 25bb or sats or whatever the hell I want to do
Thurs: Same as Tues
Fri: Same as Tues/Thurs but probably just playing all 25bb hours and cutting sats
Sat: Same as Tues/Thurs
Sun: Full out Sat+MTT session of course


My days will be very full from start to finish and basically going to just solely focus on myself, my health and the grind. Really want to push myself as I've been slacking too much this year anytime there isn't a COOP/festival going on.

Will likely also be doing some motivational bet with a couple of the midstake+ 25bb regs once everyone is back from Vegas and settled in and back on the grind. Gotta have that motivation!

I was not wise at all with money when I was younger and apart from being a big degen and spender IRL, I also made a couple bad investments. I learned a lot from my mistakes of the past though and I think that's one of the most important things to take away from the situation. Live and learn and improve for the future, ya know!?

So I then saved up money again and once I had a lot of cash, I bought my truck and got into that project. Went a little crazy with it, as I tend to be, and put >$100k in it which was obviously a bad investment as well hehe. But it's fine, I'm glad I'll have the truck for lots of years even though I'm not even driving it right now as I've held off on completing it.

Around the same time as buying the truck is also when I got land down here. In the future I fully intend to build a house. I still think buying land in the correct spots/locations is one of the better investments and I'll probably look at buying more in the further future.

Right now though, I'm working on rebuilding the ole liquid cash flow as I got pegged really hard in the past 10 months between my own health problems and seeing a cardiologist (no insurance) and not being able to properly grind for months which lead to me not making much money for 6 months while having huge expenses. It was good that at my age, I just had 100k+ cash laying around to pay for everything. Between my own health issues and my mom getting cancer, I realized it's important to have that extra cash around for when it's needed, and therefore it's now my goal once again to cut spending and focus on putting money aside once again.

I have no real regrets though. My parents raised me to enjoy myself and my life. We're born with nothing and once we're dead, we've got nothing once again...so might as well enjoy it in the moment.



The team that was staying with him ended up moving back to Arizona. Bfizz is about to start a 50 day, 50 8+ hour stream challenge though which should be fun to follow along with!

It depends. During non COOP/festival times I tend to play less hours as I take a half-full day off on Mon/Wed and sometimes have other IRL things to attend to. I basically never miss a COOP/festival day and otherwise grind about 5 days a week, although the hours vary.

I'd say in the past I averaged playing about 75-100 hrs/month during non COOP months. Nowadays maybe more in the 120-150 range Many many many less hours than most people think because they see the huge # of games I put up. I'm just very efficient in my grind in that I"m always maximizing my table count, hourly, etc

Yea I think they are still worth grinding. I know of 2 grinders in the past few years that were playing $3.50 6max hyper sats that now play up to $360s and $134 16mans etc. I also know of some guys that have worked up the 6m 25bb ladder from $3s or $7s to playing up to $100s. There's also some low stake grinders, like $kill Game for example, that still make a great living while playing a $10 abi. Think he has like a 10% avg roi or something huge and has a super pretty, variance free graph

Woke up around 4am and couldn't sleep, so jumped in for a while as some regs were on. 2 of them quit though, so gg traffic ATM, so figured I'd update this while I have a min. Going to study the 15 spots I just marked and then check in on traffic again. Will grind if it looks like games will go and if it's slow I'll probably try to take a nap.

Volume has been pretty meh, but should be picking up now that WSOP is over. I've seen multiple grinders that had not played since end of SCOOP that have returned to the tables. Have also seen some recs return that were MIA and I'm assuming were either on vacations or at WSOP as well.

I missed most of this past Sunday which was annoying, but was super tired and not feeling well after too much drinking on Friday and then seeing Alisha on Saturday. Trying to make up for it this week by going a bit extra hard. Put up a decent grind on Monday, a super long one on Tues, played a lot yesterday and planning to play a lot today-Sun.

Yea for sure, and if PartyPoker ends up taking off, there will be another option with better RB available etc. The $22 traffic has continued picking up and I'm assuming lower is doing pretty well also.

Haven't been sleeping for **** lately, pretty annoying. Been awake for 1.5 hours now and just got done running some sims. Will see if there are any games running and either jump in or try to get back to bed.

Yesterday I played from about 4am until 6 or 7am and then ended up taking a nap. Woke up, did some more testing for PP and then had my main internet line go out. Bfizz lost his power upstairs so ended up down in my place and we were both connected on backups. I decided to just chill for a bit to see what would happen as my backup main line was slow as **** and I didn't really want to grind with my only reliable connection being my cell phone hotspot lol. Main line came back and got to the grind, played on and off all the way until about 9pm and got >500 games in at 25bb which was great.



Was looking and my EV has been super strong as of late. Will post a couple EV graphs from below. Also winning some SKO EV that is not included as that's over on PT4 and then have 16man EV to add in. Looks like going back to SCOOP start (May 12), I've prob EV'd somewhere between $60k-$70k at SNGs. Feels nice to be back to feeling like myself once again and grinding and studying hard without it taking such a huge toll on me.

Hopefully will keep it up! Just have to figure out how to catch up to the redline

I personally don't really mind the HUD ban as I barely use a HUD. Never been much of a HUD guy and I play so many tables I don't really have time to use one anyway. But I'm hoping that nobody is using them. That of course is the big if, and I'm sure there already are or will be people using them illegally. Hoping PP can somehow police that, but who knows.

I think not having HH available for DL after playing (similar to Bovada for example) is no good though. Us players should be able to receive our HHs as that is one of the ways that many cheaters/botters/etc have been caught over the years by players.

We'll see what happens with time

Put in a pretty good sized Sunday grind. Started a bit late as I ended up going out to watch the boxing on Saturday night with my mechanic and his GF. Was a lot of fun, went up to my old home bar, Plan B, from back when Ruseman and I lived north of Rosarito in San Antonio Del Mar. Was good to see Chris the owner and the 2 sisters that work there + the regulars, place was absolutely jammed packed and we ended up having to stand and watch the fight on the TVs outside the bar.

Got roughed up again in terms of running under EV, but had solid 6m EV again which is always welcome.. Not playing today as I was with my mechanic all morning and afternoon and just got home. Plan to shower in a few mins and then get on the study grind for the rest of the day. Big grind coming tomorrow and Thurs-Sun, wednesday will prob be a light grind.

Actually got some $55+ action going on PP Saturday. I was able to connect and had no issues which was great. I played many more $55 25bb hypers on PP in comparison to $60 25bb hypers on PS in the same amount of time played. Was great to see, 4-5 reg games, let's get it going boys!

Hey Slayer is there a reason you, skills and pretty much everyone are switching over to 16 man ST? Everyone is playing them why?

Yea my only tip is to start with what the equilibrium range is (what the calc initially spits out without any adjustments to the spot), and then you adjust from there. So random example
50/100 blinds
500 BTN
1500 SB
1000 BB hero
BTN folds, SB EQ jam range is 100% obviously. But if its a tight rec, then you go in, after running the sim, and adjust his range to whatever you think it is. Say 65%, then you lock that range in and re-run the simulation and it will spit out a new hero BB calling range.


16mans are just quite the popular format and have been lucrative for some of us regs. See a lot of regs changing formats when they see others have success at something. Kind of funny though, as like with 6max sats for example, it's basically impossible for anyone to come in and have a WR close to mine. Many regs have tried to become a 6m sat reg in the last years, and basically all have failed.

Sup all. Not been grinding much the last couple weeks but about to lock in again starting Thursday. Woke up to some great news from Party Poker...they went live with SKOs, added the new structure to all lobbies and rounded out the buyins. We didn't even ask for the $500+ SNGs either, so that was a great surprise!












Going to try to get into a nice routine of grinding + studying and essentially blocking out most of the rest of my life . Seems like a great time to just lock in between now and when my parents arrive in October. Possibly take a little bit of time off before WCOOP starts just to rest up.

I'm going to have to see how action is at 25bb between the 2 sites and kind of try to trial and error testing out my what I think my EV is. Going to be a bit tough trying to figure out when to play sats and when not to etc, just too much action!






One of the reasons I've not been grinding as much as I went out and had some fun a few times. I actually made my 2nd trip to TJ to party of the year last week...the first being bachelor party related for Dhenz a few months back.

Went to Deja Vu with my buddy Sergio who is the bartender at the brewery down the street from where I live. My buddy loudawg, former neighbor and now the VIP host at Deja Vu, had an area set up for us on arrival. Was fun to see him as I hadn't even talked to him in about 4 months.

Ended up meeting this girl from Brazil and actually hungout with her yesterday on her off day. Have been with girls from many other central/south american countries, but had never been with a Brazilian girl
