Yea I still have the land. I also do plan to stay in Mexico even if online poker were to die at some point. I guess I'll touch on both
Land: Have it and holding it for the time being. I actually just in the past few days have been talking very seriously with one of my closest poker buddies on the subject. He is planning to visit the area at some point late this year or next year as he wants to buy more land himself. I too am trying to save up some money to buy another plot or two.
I have a ton of different viable options. Could just buy more plots and hold them for the time being, w/out building or anything like that. Could buy plots, wait like 5 years and then build and maybe sell or do some rentals or airbnb or something like that. Obv tons of options and I am still at the beginning of the planning stages of this. Luckily my lawyer is pretty much the best contact to have in the area as she has her fingers in everything and has contacts in every department/office/etc all the way to the President of Mexico and has international business partners as well.
I have a meeting with her on Friday finally. She called me and was like 'Josh, you haven't made time to have coffee with your lawyer, I am upset with you!' But yea, in her preview, she said she's been doing business with partners from Saudia Arabia, China and Colombia, selling cement for construction, iron ore, and a few other things. But yea, will bring the subject up with her and also have a few other subjects to touch on with her as well.
Need to finish up the truck and finish up the Durango and then the plan is to start pinching pennies for this.
Life/Mexico: I have already thought on this subject and plan to continue to live here even if GG online poker. With me living 30 mins from the border and San Diego and only like a 3 hour drive (I'd drive at 'smart' times) to LA, with LV only being like 6 hours away, I plan to just be semi retired and then go grind live games up in the US.
If I built the house, my expenses could be really low overall. And luckily, especially in a place like LA, $2/$5 cash is like 'fun' money since the cost of living is so high there and everyone makes a really large salary in comparison to most other places in the US. It doesn't mean people are rich there obviously, as the cost of living is so high, but their 'fun money' is certainly a much larger $ amount than the average person from say my hometown for example.
Have already put thought into that and completely plan to stay here in this area, of course can't predict the future and you never know what may transpire
I like answering questions like these hehe, the interaction ITT is always the most fun part to me

Anyways, what's unfathomable to me is how you are still putting in this volume after those profitable years and considering current climate. I mean, how do you reg for 14$ hyper sng with such a large roll?
Do you have any future plans or are you going to grind it out till the end see from there?
Well, as most know and you can see in my blogs and I touch on it, efficiency is very important to me. I'm attempting to play for the highest amount of $ I can make while having a reasonable schedule and a good hourly. My hourly used to be the sole most important thing to me, but now I am more worried about YTD expected profit and am willing to take a cut in hourly or ABI or whatever it might be if it's going to lead to be able to play more hours overall and make a larger amount of $ on the year.
Also, and I'm less so the case compared to the norm, but most people have far less money than what their graph will make it seem like. Obv as I'm sure you/everyone knows, Many players, especially post BF/current online climate, are staked or sell a lot of action or both (staked players selling action to their highest bi's or toughest mtts). Many MTT players with huge binks only have a small amount of themselves, the graphs rarely tell the full story obviously. And that's just the graphs, doesn't get into life being more expensive than one would think, or peoples leaks with money, or failed action buying after they ran it up to go bust again, etc etc
My overall unfiltered graph has me down heaps and heaps at nosebleed stake SNGs, which I sold a massive amount of back to Jama-Dharma off of my stake BR. Massive SNG losses that were taken in those games I sold like 75%+ of. $1700s I sold I think 75% and 80% and my biggest losing stake is $3500s, where I sold 95%/90% (SCOOP/WCOOP) the first year I played them (the biggest losing year), and I think 88% the years after. The 1 $17,340 that went off I sold 95% to, the 1 $9k I've played I sold 90% to, etc etc.
Of course I also didn't have much of myself during my SCOOP 2016 runs, but I think I'm actually not up that much at HSMTTs due to the fact that I was down heaps on ps.com at the big stakes before that 2016 heat.
Back on the subject of the staking deals, most MTT players are on like 50/50 or so deals, whereas I've always had great deals that are hugely in my favor. I had 70/30 when playing a like $250 or whatever abi it was for B3rtstare and now I owndime some of my games and then have multiple stake levels within my deal.
But yea, I'm sure I have less money than most people think I have....though I do also have people telling me I'm broke every day on the tables
. I guess I touched above on the future life plans and whatnot, but yea, I plan to grind it out online as long as I can!

Fun questions to get to respond to, we'll see if any chatter happens from them
.
I was going to do a small update but I think I"ll save that for later. I'm still trying to study some more 25bb spots before going to bed. Really have a lot of studying to get done tomorrow as well to be ready for the Friday/Saturday grind as it's usually heavier 25bb traffic late in the day.
I'm going to just ask this here....do you guys like the truck related content or is it something you guys skip over? I don't care either way, I really don't
. I'm only asking as it takes me a good amount of time to make the vehicle updates, between having to find everything on google drive and screenshotting and screenshotting from links of parts I'm going to buy and then writing it up, it's a fair amount of time taken in a situation where I'd normally just upload new **** from my phone to google drive and then be done with it.
Anyhow, gla on the grind and update to come tomorrow maybe!
