Been following/lurking your threads since time. Saw "TurboKings" in the title, so had to sub and post a quick 'What's good G?' Seems like a lot of Win2Win itt. Powers!

Insane numbers from the RB man, remember when people back then even said poker was dying.

Anyways, what's unfathomable to me is how you are still putting in this volume after those profitable years and considering current climate. I mean, how do you reg for 14$ hyper sng with such a large roll?

Do you have any future plans or are you going to grind it out till the end see from there?

Yea I still have the land. I also do plan to stay in Mexico even if online poker were to die at some point. I guess I'll touch on both

Land: Have it and holding it for the time being. I actually just in the past few days have been talking very seriously with one of my closest poker buddies on the subject. He is planning to visit the area at some point late this year or next year as he wants to buy more land himself. I too am trying to save up some money to buy another plot or two.

I have a ton of different viable options. Could just buy more plots and hold them for the time being, w/out building or anything like that. Could buy plots, wait like 5 years and then build and maybe sell or do some rentals or airbnb or something like that. Obv tons of options and I am still at the beginning of the planning stages of this. Luckily my lawyer is pretty much the best contact to have in the area as she has her fingers in everything and has contacts in every department/office/etc all the way to the President of Mexico and has international business partners as well.

I have a meeting with her on Friday finally. She called me and was like 'Josh, you haven't made time to have coffee with your lawyer, I am upset with you!' But yea, in her preview, she said she's been doing business with partners from Saudia Arabia, China and Colombia, selling cement for construction, iron ore, and a few other things. But yea, will bring the subject up with her and also have a few other subjects to touch on with her as well.

Need to finish up the truck and finish up the Durango and then the plan is to start pinching pennies for this.

Life/Mexico: I have already thought on this subject and plan to continue to live here even if GG online poker. With me living 30 mins from the border and San Diego and only like a 3 hour drive (I'd drive at 'smart' times) to LA, with LV only being like 6 hours away, I plan to just be semi retired and then go grind live games up in the US.

If I built the house, my expenses could be really low overall. And luckily, especially in a place like LA, $2/$5 cash is like 'fun' money since the cost of living is so high there and everyone makes a really large salary in comparison to most other places in the US. It doesn't mean people are rich there obviously, as the cost of living is so high, but their 'fun money' is certainly a much larger $ amount than the average person from say my hometown for example.

Have already put thought into that and completely plan to stay here in this area, of course can't predict the future and you never know what may transpire

I like answering questions like these hehe, the interaction ITT is always the most fun part to me

Well, as most know and you can see in my blogs and I touch on it, efficiency is very important to me. I'm attempting to play for the highest amount of $ I can make while having a reasonable schedule and a good hourly. My hourly used to be the sole most important thing to me, but now I am more worried about YTD expected profit and am willing to take a cut in hourly or ABI or whatever it might be if it's going to lead to be able to play more hours overall and make a larger amount of $ on the year.

Also, and I'm less so the case compared to the norm, but most people have far less money than what their graph will make it seem like. Obv as I'm sure you/everyone knows, Many players, especially post BF/current online climate, are staked or sell a lot of action or both (staked players selling action to their highest bi's or toughest mtts). Many MTT players with huge binks only have a small amount of themselves, the graphs rarely tell the full story obviously. And that's just the graphs, doesn't get into life being more expensive than one would think, or peoples leaks with money, or failed action buying after they ran it up to go bust again, etc etc

My overall unfiltered graph has me down heaps and heaps at nosebleed stake SNGs, which I sold a massive amount of back to Jama-Dharma off of my stake BR. Massive SNG losses that were taken in those games I sold like 75%+ of. $1700s I sold I think 75% and 80% and my biggest losing stake is $3500s, where I sold 95%/90% (SCOOP/WCOOP) the first year I played them (the biggest losing year), and I think 88% the years after. The 1 $17,340 that went off I sold 95% to, the 1 $9k I've played I sold 90% to, etc etc.

Of course I also didn't have much of myself during my SCOOP 2016 runs, but I think I'm actually not up that much at HSMTTs due to the fact that I was down heaps on ps.com at the big stakes before that 2016 heat.

Back on the subject of the staking deals, most MTT players are on like 50/50 or so deals, whereas I've always had great deals that are hugely in my favor. I had 70/30 when playing a like $250 or whatever abi it was for B3rtstare and now I owndime some of my games and then have multiple stake levels within my deal.

But yea, I'm sure I have less money than most people think I have....though I do also have people telling me I'm broke every day on the tables . I guess I touched above on the future life plans and whatnot, but yea, I plan to grind it out online as long as I can!

Fun questions to get to respond to, we'll see if any chatter happens from them .

I was going to do a small update but I think I"ll save that for later. I'm still trying to study some more 25bb spots before going to bed. Really have a lot of studying to get done tomorrow as well to be ready for the Friday/Saturday grind as it's usually heavier 25bb traffic late in the day.

I'm going to just ask this here....do you guys like the truck related content or is it something you guys skip over? I don't care either way, I really don't . I'm only asking as it takes me a good amount of time to make the vehicle updates, between having to find everything on google drive and screenshotting and screenshotting from links of parts I'm going to buy and then writing it up, it's a fair amount of time taken in a situation where I'd normally just upload new **** from my phone to google drive and then be done with it.

Anyhow, gla on the grind and update to come tomorrow maybe!

Thanks, gl as well out there

And haha no worries at all, I want to know whether I'm 'wasting' my time or not hehe...it's why I asked and I hope I get more feedback . It's cool to go back and read this stuff for myself later, but the time I spend on it def could be better spent if basically nobody reads it

Finally gonna get ready for bed, long evening of study but I have so much more to do. Going to try to play the late stuff I think tomorrow...? Honestly might quit early again to study for the evening if I bust all my reg speeds before the Bounty 55 starts. Am hungry as **** to keep on improving at 25bb and have actually been really good about staying on the studying and not getting sidetracked with skype/facebook/browsing/etc, so there's more value in the continued stopping early
04-12-2018 , 08:32 AM
By studying 25bb, what exactly is it that you study?
04-12-2018 , 09:00 AM
Play against you a lot and love the updates , top 5 PGCer ever but I too skip the truck parts as I’m just not really into cars and such
04-12-2018 , 01:54 PM
I usually skip as I prefer bicycles to cars in general
04-12-2018 , 02:08 PM
i too just gloss over the truck stuff. i read it at the beginning but i don't really understand a lot of it so I just look at a couple of the pics.
04-12-2018 , 02:29 PM
Skip too

Sweet, thanks for the feedback boys. I think a nice middle ground will be to just post some pics and short vids and maybe add a sentence about what it is,but not go into such great detail where I'm spending like 30 minutes writing stuff that you guys don't even understand nor care about

I just know my blog is pretty boring this year as I'm mostly grinding away and I was trying to find something to spice it up with hehe. Still not sure what else I could be writing about other than poker....I mean poker takes up like 2/3rds of the hours that I'm awake and the rest of the time I'm either working on one of the vehicles or at a restaurant or bar watching a game or something like that

So last night, I studied the following aspects of 25bb
-push/fold/call spots: 3-6handed, different stack sizes and setups etc of course
-3b range vs opener: again obv, different stack sizes/situations
-opening range on different stack sizes and how it's affected against different 3b strats
-playing vs limps 3-6handed
-coaching session with BBZ where we did some PIO sims. we focused mostly on bvb play and btn vs bb 15+bb eff (T20 and T30 mostly)

Always ****tons to study and always more work to do

________________________________________________

Quick update! Had a great meeting with my lawyer, tons of stuff going on which I may get into in a later post when I have more time. Got all my other little **** out of the way and Susy (my PA) and her cousin Karen (the girl I've been going out with) will be coming over in a bit with supplies and to eat and chill for a bit. My massage therapist and homey Shana went to the US to go to the DMV for me for the Durango. Probably will be going up with her next Friday with the Durango to get it smogged and then finishing the paperwork at the DMV so that I finally have it just good to go

Have a ton of study to get into tonight, hopefully can pound out a lot of it right now before the girls show up, as Shana might be coming over too heh. Will be grinding a pretty long day tomorrow and then hopefully on 1 hour after the kickoff starts on Sunday to put in my Sunday session

Here's the hours update, looks like it will be a pretty typical light month of around 150 grind hours and 20k or so games played....as I thought and always have said to you guys (and ppl on the tables etc), I really DON'T play some ungodly amount of hours outside of the COOPs. The average MTT reg probably plays more hours/month than i do. 3-4 10-13hour sessions per week or something like that

And a few pics from today when I was with Nick....engine pics. Much easier to just upload from phone to google drive, screengrab and save on comp and upload on imgur

And ordering this to go on my suspension in the front. Will also be ordering the dual shocks for on the tires, just have to find the correct ones

Yea, much easier. Spent a total of like 4 mins on the truck this post . Nice middle ground, you guys still get some pics/vids but doesn't take me so much time heh

Gla out there this weekend

This thread is anything but boring. I think I speak for a huge amount of us that enjoy following along with all the content.
Keep it up!

Haha, I guess since I'm not just some crazy degen IRL anymore it just seems boring to me

Couldn't sleep for **** so got out of bed at 4:45AM and ran a good amount of HRC sims, 110 to be exact. I've definitely run more HRC sims in the past 1 week than I have the previous 6 months combined. Really seemed to have found my study passion again which is great, will definitely be keeping it up next week as well...though hoping it will be a pretty busy sat week due to the Sunday Mil Anniversary Take 2 promo

Gonna go take a quick shower and then hit the grind, gla today!
04-19-2018 , 06:43 PM

GLGL on this anniversary milly weekend

Also , caught you on turbo kings stream for a bit today , love the positive energy dude !

Also on the truck pics/topic - I am not much into vehicles but I still find it cool looking at the pics / progress updates - In general it is interesting seeing someone post about whatever they are passionate about (imo)
04-20-2018 , 02:41 AM
Agree with the last part

Gl Sunday

(monkeyyyyyyyy)
04-20-2018 , 11:49 AM
I like the car stuff and read it, but sounds like im in the minority.

Bink that sunday milly...
04-20-2018 , 12:11 PM
I read the truck stuff, because its obviously something you're passionate about, and I find it cool reading other people's passions. Even if it isn't something I have much personal interest in.

Echoing the glgls for this Sunday bro.
04-21-2018 , 04:52 PM
Hey champ,

You're the 25bb expert so I'd like to ask you something, would be grateful if you could answer:
at 20-35bb deep my SB winrate in MTTs is terrible (~-30bb/100), it's even worse than BB winrate. Numbers like VPIP/PFR/3b/WTSD/W$SD/WWSF etc look pretty normal. At other depths it looks significantly better. Blue line is just above zero which could be some kind of an indicator. Any thoughts on where the problem might lie? Not asking to elaborate a long answer obv but maybe you notice some common leaks from SB at these depths that aren't obvious and you could point them out?

GL on Sunday, cheers

PS. I'll never understand why on earth you'd prefer to spend 100k on a big heavy ass lifted pickup truck rather than a sports car (or just buying enduro bike for 1/10th of that money if you love offroad that much) but photos+short description is the way to go imo.
