Nice binks! And besides that, your results over the past few years are insane. Especially given your volume. Don't know how you keep on going every day and still stay sane and get out and enjoy life. Keep on posting the cool stories, always an interesting read.

Hey thanks bro, we'll have a proper chat one of these days on messenger. My timezone helps a lot. I'm able to work a pretty normal day and then have the same 'normal' evening time that most people do. Usually waking up between 6:30 and 8:30am depending on the day of the week and grinding until either 4:30pm (If I don't play the late stuff) or like 7pm. Having laptop + app on my phone helps a lot too as I tend to just take my last MTT or whatever on the road with me

But yea, life balance is hard and I mostly am just all poker with a bit of cruising out for some dinners/watch sports/etc

Hope you're smashing if you've hit the grind again

_______________________________________________

Okayyyyyea, been much too long since I've updated. As I knew, and was why I was afraid to get into it, I've been hella busy studying MTTs this month. Got a lot of the basics done in Feb and then spent most of the past 2 weeks just doing a LOT of MTT work.

I feel a lot better about my MTT game, BBZ obv is a fantastic coach and I'm quite glad I have him. Also talk through spots with a cpl pals and yea, feel I'm seeing a lot of spots much more clearly now. Still have INF to improve in the MTT department, it's obviously a game where as you learn, you're like, '****, there's so much more to dive into'

But yea, this has left me quite far behind in SNG study and also volume. FCOOP also holding back some SNG volume as I have many more MTTs on screen at a time compared to normal. So yea, probably won't be doing a lot more MTT study going forward and will instead refocus on SNGs and just grinding a lot. But should be good as my edge should have improved a good chunk in the MTTs. Since starting with BBZ in early Feb, I've had FTs in the following

-2x $215 Battle Royale
-2x $109 Bounty Builder
-$530 Bounty Builder
-$215 Bounty Builder
-$109 Sunday Cooldown
-$55 Bounty Builder
-$55 Hot
-$33 Bounty Builder
-3 WPN MTTs in like 50 played

On the SNG front, not too much exciting has been happening. Less volume as I said, also the results haven't been so great but whatever, go through some bad runs. Also is what makes the HS's so silly, the few games I get in per year now mean nothing...meaning I'll likely either run super above or below EV. That's why I play that stuff (and mtts) staked and even sell off action back to my backer in the 300+ games

But yea, planning to hit the grind super hard starting Saturday. Better update to come at some point soon i hope! Gla on the tables!

Ugh at that HS SNG graph. Really worth playing those backed for you or would it make more sense to play just low-mid on own dime and enjoy the more consistent grind? I know this was something I struggled trying to determine for myself for awhile when I had moved up to $100+ hypers back in the day.

Since the HS volume is so slow now and games in general aren't tough, it's by far the best decision to do what I do. Most times of the day I don't actually have enough tables...I'm loading all the hyper sats I want and sitting all the HS 25bb and I still don't have enough tables. Start of hot 55 through end of bounty 33 late reg (a 2 hour 15 minute span of time) is really the only time I'm ever skipping any 16mans $7.50+ or any 6mans $18+. Otherwise the only games being skipped ever are complete peanut stakes and who cares, most of the time I don't play the hot 22 and **** like that.

The way better argument, and what I should have done in the past, was not dickswing and play backed in the HS 25bbb SNGs (2013-mid 2014) and just owndime like $30s-$100s with the softest 200s+ added and maybe sell some action to 300s+. That likely would have yielded a much higher EV for myself than playing the HS games backed.

But oh well, live and learn. But very confident when I take everything into account right now, that there's not a higher personal EV grind I could be doing. I tried to cut some of the lower stake sats in order to grind more $50/$60/$100 25bb hypers, but those games actually wear me out mentally and I end up having to lower my table count. So for example, the late afternoon-evening slot my time, I'm actually better off playing the superrrr timbey stake buyin 16mans (that I beat for a huge ROI), because I can grind more tables at once and more hours, and the overall $ earned is actually higher

____________________________________________

So yea, mostly just was in the mood to answer the above heh. I just got back home. I had a date with my assistant's cousin. Really pretty and really nice girl, she works as a veterinarian here in Rosarito. Feel most people who love animals to the extent that she does are usually genuinely very good people with big hearts etc. But yea, went great and we're planning to hangout again soon. She actually works like 8 mins from my house (but lives like 25-30 mins away) so that's actually cool for if something were to happen in the future.

Funnily enough, while I was dropping her back off at her house, my mechanic called and asked if I could come over. He lives about 18 mins north of me and it's kind of a pain in the ass to go his way at night as I have to go through the military checkpoint and many times there are police checkpoints etc. But she lives about 10 mins more north (I'm south of both) than he does, so it worked out perfectly in that I could stop at his house on the way back.

Ended up being that he wanted to take me to where my truck is at right now as they are finally finishing up the engine job and needed somewhere to both store the truck and to be able to work on it rain or shine. A buddy of ours who used to run the AutoZone now has a little shop and we're renting one of the stalls from his garage. Either my mechanic, his assistant, or Teo (the buddy who ran Autozone) are always there, they never leave the truck, all the tools, or anything alone. Sadly that's how it is in Mexico, but a good game plan has been put in place and someone is always there and there's 2 guard dogs as well. Sounds kind of silly probably, but those 2 dogs (a huge pitbull and a bigger rottweiler) stand a pretty good chance against most people

But yea, that's exciting. The front end was already removed from the truck and the engine was like 1/4th of the way taken out. Will be a huge ass job that will probably last 3-4 weeks, but excited for them to get it done as then we'll have 1 month left to get everything running correctly to go down to the Baja 500....50th anniversary this year!

Don't expect many to watch this full video, but here's a recap of last years Baja 1000 which was the 50th anniversary of the race. The Baja1000 being one of the most famous offroading races in the entire world

On the poker front, I need to quit being so lazy. I wanted to work my ass off this year and I'm not really working any harder than I did last year. Outside of the COOP/Festival times, I'm only averaging about 40-45 hours/week which is fine, that's obviously still a good chunk of hours/week, but as I said, I REALLY wanted to push myself this year...to make the most of 2018 from start to finish.

Think I'm going to change the challenge around to being only games $82 and under that count to motivate me to grind more on Monday and Friday, as well as to play more evening sessions.....which is what the main motivation was behind this challenge to begin with. I wanted to hammer Tues-Thurs evening as the late night majors are nice those nights, and I wanted to get myself to put in a short Monday session and like 1/2-3/4ths of a Friday session. But outside of COOP/Festival, where I always worked my ass off in the past anyway, nothing has really changed. So this change would make it such that I'd have to grind more...I expect to get about 15,000-20,000 games at $100+ stakes this year so this adds a good chunk of hours needed.

But yea, think that's a change I'm going to make to up the motivation. Kind of fits the challenge anyway, I did it for myself and also to show others that you could still make a lot of money at low to mid stakes.

Anywayyyy, I need to go to sleep as the alarm will be going off in about 5.5 hours, big Saturday grind to come! Kind of glad I was able to get this ramble in as I will appreciate reading it again myself. This post def actually more for myself than anything else .

Gla on the weekend grind and hopefully I have a full update on Sunday night or Monday

Heyooo, enjoy your thread a lot, fun game you play

I usually play Tues-Thurs + Sat and Sun and a bit on Mon/Fri sometimes. I'd say I average about 45 or so hours per week, although I'm trying to up it

_______________________________________

Okay so with all these questions I've been receiving about how much I grind, I'm actually going to just track my real grind hours this month and then next month. April is a 'normal' month (tho FCOOP is running now so I'll play more on Mon/Fri than I otherwise would and longer sessions in general) and then May is of course SCOOP.

I will only track the hours where I'm actually loading SNGs. If I get to the end of my session and I just have an mtt or two left and I'm not loading SNGs, I'm doing a load of other work on the side. Whether it be accounting, studying, buying parts for my vehicles...it's always something productive and that needs to get done. But yeh, I won't count those hours as part of my real grind hours as it will overstate how many hours I actually dedicated to grinding (for the challenge purposes)

Will be fun to track as I don't really pay attention ever

I ended up missing like half of the Sunday grind which was annoying but whatever. Was an okay start to the month, won some money in the few 1k's I played towards the end of my day which was nice. I will be focusing some study hours on 25bb this month and getting some coaching from BBZ for 25bb as well.

Got 2 outered in my Day 2 of FCOOP €50 psko with 45 left, that was sad. MTTs didn't really go well today either, only had a cpl mincashes although I didn't play many to begin with.

I'm gonna eat some food and watch a movie and then hopefully get my accounting done and would like to get prep work done for my next coaching session with BBZ, which will come later in the week. If there's still some hours left, will get to the study grind as I have a ****ton of SNG stuff to study

Day Graph

Also some photos of the truck from last night. It was mostly put together on Friday night when I saw it in person, they've certainly gotten a lot done since I saw it heh...all torn apart right now

Quick update

Short sessions each of the first 3 days to start the month, but been getting some **** done that needs to get done. Tonight going to finally be a big study night. Have a session with BBZ in 2 hours and after this post going to start running some SNG spots until then.

Went to check in on the truck last night, almost all the way inside the engine now. The boys have been making good progress, working 2 nights ago until almost 2am

Decided last night that while we have it all opened up, I might as well just finish upgrading the few more things I still needed under the hood. I already have bought the new radiator + hoses that will be going in along with the transmission cooler, but also going to get a top of the line intercooler and oil cooler kit as well.

The screen or vent looking thing at the front bottom left of 3 of the 4 pics if the stock transmission cooler, the aftermarket one is much larger, thicker and made of better material. The stock intercooler is plastic whereas the aftermarket one will be well welded aluminum

That's basically the upgrade across the board with all these parts: bigger, better, stronger, more durable and can endure more stress put on it. Same as the engine upgrades, since the engine and turbo now has significantly more power than when it was stock, all the aftermarket parts have to be able to endure more heat, compression etc

Probably going to go with this intercooler, Nick also sent me a link for the Mishimoto one, but my opinion is leaning towards Banks. Bastard sent me the wrong amazon link though, good thing I've learned to make sure links he sends me are for the 7.3 and not the smaller engines . Took me a minute, but found the correct model here on the XtremeDieselPerformance website (pic below)

And then likely going with this oil cooler kit

And the by far least interesting part to me of this post, my results thus far

Damn, my games/hr today was super withered. I guess maybe it's due to the fact I played the lower stake FCOOP events today + probably played 50 or so SNGs there that weren't included in my daily tally as I'm only tracking ps.com for the challenge

Before getting into my own ****, quick shoutout to all the staked players for Team Turbokings, there's a lot of progress going very much in the correct direction and the results are trending that way! Graph below of March and then the hot start to April, hopefully it will continue!

Top graph March, bottom April

I finally took a look at my evbb/100 since BBZ and I dove into some of the more complex work. The sample is still much too small, but definitely trending in the correct direction!

ABIs are quite real too. Don't really think there are many guys outside of the like HS Swede bosses for example putting in both very regular volume (grinding 3.5+ days a week) and at this abi on ps.com.

PS.com $164
PS.es/fr €146 ($179)

.com

es/fr

Am about to start a lot of SNG study. Ended up doing a session with BBZ last night and we went a bit longer than I was expecting, but it was great stuff per the usual. Tomorrow I hope to finally put in a huge session, starting at 7am my time 15 mins before Hot 33 and 30 mins before Bounty 215 and going all the way until 6:30pm my time which is the end of late reg sats for the late Bounty 33....we'll see if I can pull it off

My graphs and update on hours below.

lmao will make a more full update in a bit, just turned on the comp for first time in ~20 hours and logged in to last min late reg the €20 hyper scoop event.

Figured I would open my chests between .com and .es and update my RB numbers, and first chest I open on .es today and BINK! biggest chest I've ever received and it comes in a 'rec player' chest on .es hahah

04-06-2018 , 07:17 PM
Hah moneys goes to the money man, congrats for the chest.
Nice result as always so keep that coming.
I play micro sng/mtts but out of curiosity what did you change in your mtt game in general since you start to study so far?
04-08-2018 , 07:52 AM
Will make a real response later after my Sunday session with responses to above posts, PGC my favorite place to read after a long Sunday session. I actually woke up really early and couldn't fall back to sleep and am sitting here studying, something I rarely do before a session and something I don't think I've ever done before a Sunday session heh. Have the PS lobby up on my other comp and am waiting for like 4+ 37.50+ games to be running, at which point I'll jump in. I'm assuming that will be in ~30 mins to 1 hr from now

But yea, just quickly popping in with hours update and MTD graph update before the Sunday session. I played HS 25bb on my side computer Friday night while getting a lot of **** done on my grind computer...accounting, ordering a few parts for the truck, etc, so not counting those hours as grind hours as I played average table count 1 and wasn't paying much attention

Legggggo Sundayfunday, ME day on ps.es/.fr, can't wait to be in for max bullets (4) in the €250 ME and bust them all well before itm

I play micro sng/mtts but out of curiosity what did you change in your mtt game in general since you start to study so far?
BBZ and I basically broke down everything from scratch. I had a pretty good idea of what my leaks were going into the first session (too tight from tabling too hard (VPIP/PFR/3bing), too high of flop fold to cbet, not enough turn+river aggression) and I was pretty much spot on. BBZ looked at the #'s in my DB and identified leaks that way and then we jumped into isolating some of those leaks with filters and then looking at those spots in the areas I leaked in. Luckily since we've played against each other for so many years at HS 6m SNGs (since 2011/2012), he already knew my game pretty well and I was/am probably an easier project in a lot of ways compared to other players, in part due to this.

But yea, that was the how we fixed my bigger leaks and after I improved in those areas, we started working on getting me to think like him in spots and really understand the spots and the betting strategies and ratio requirements etc, which is the same sort of thing I have talked about in the past in relation to SNGs (I KNOW and UNDERSTAND the spots, whereas most regs MEMORIZE the spots, but don't really understand the logic behind what they're doing).

By now, I'm already asking him about close enough spots that he doesn't necessarily KNOW the answer and so usually I send him some spots the day before our session and he will run the PIO solutions and then we go through it during our sessions.

We've also started working on some 25bb hyper turbo stuff and for that he's been having to do some more prep work himself, running some spots taking ICM into account and whatnot. Obviously as he deals with mostly MTT players he has more of that work done and has less 25bb stuff prepped, especially for the areas I need help in.

While on the subject of it, I've been getting absolutely crushed at MTTs past 2 weeks, can't even cash anything haha! But evbb/100 numbers still looking strong since starting with BBZ. I cashed 8 FCOOP events out of about 80 or so events played, but no significant cashes at all and fired multiple bullets in a lot of them, so was still a decent sized loss.

Pics below filtered for $50+ mtts as that's all I really care about and including lower will overstate things in general. Of course sample still much too small, but at least I'm still winning at a nice clip on .com. The .es/.fr sample still WAY too small, though playing deep stacked with a ton of spanish and french rec players is certainly super profitable

ps.com: $158 abi / 9.79 evbb/100
ps.es/.fr: $137 abi / 22.1 evbb/100

Well, I guess this post will more or less be an update around the SNG challenge. Yesterday was a pretty annoying session, got like 40th and 10th earlyish into the day in the Bounty 215 and Hotter 82 and it mostly went down hill from there, both in terms of MTTs and in SNGs! Went 0/7 in $1k 25bb yesterday which is never a great idea. Overall was a frustrating day but whatever, it happens.

The sole bright spot was at the very end of the session, when I managed to bink another $500 chest lol, this one on .com

Ended up going to dinner with Bfizz and Fernanda last night and we were catching up on some TurboKings business and briefly touching on many subjects. In exciting news, at some point in the near future, I should be being featured on the stream and at some point within the next few months, I should actually be broadcasting some evening sessions! Obviously more details to come on that

On that subject, been a lot of heat to start April for Team TK! Hopefully the crushing will continue. Last graph I have is going into Sunday's session, know we also had a small live bink over the weekend which is cool too

Will briefly go over my plan of action for the week. This actually going to help me too as I'll get my grind plan figured out in my head right now.

Today is an off day and will be going in a few hours to pick up Karen from work and then doing dinner. Got a few things to take care of before that, including finally getting a hair cut. Am hoping that after dropping off Karen back home, that I can return to my place and hit the study grind pretty hard.

Tues-Thurs will be grind days, tomorrow I'll stop with Bounty 55 and Wed/Thurs I plan to play the late stuff, with Thurs plan being a huge Hot 33 (7:15 AM start) through late Bounty 33 (4:30pm start) session. Tomorrow I have to stop early as Ruseman is coming over and Shana is coming over for massages for us both. I'll study while he's getting his massage, he'll study while I'm getting mine, and then we'll prob have a few cool spots to go over before heading out for dinner and then going our separate ways.

Friday Shana is supposed to go to the US to go to the DMV to get the Durango paperwork fixed. Putting it in her name so I don't have to find a California address to use. I myself have a meeting with my lawyer and will be bringing Nick, my mechanic, for the start of it as he has a few things he needs to ask her (he had another run-in with the police Friday night in my car and I had to go save the day with a bit of help from my lawyer). Might go with Shana to the US if I get done in time, if not, thinking I'll likely have a dinner date with Karen, so yea, seems playing is off the table for Friday haha.

Sat/Sun will be 2 big sessions, though might stop a bit early on Saturday as Karen and I might go to the beach with her puppy, TBT

Yea, so busy week. Always busy between grinding and real life ****.

Time to get into some numbers and graphs to wrap up this post!

Hehe . My first year getting SNE was in 2012, IIRC you ended up receiving ~$105,000 the first year getting SNE. ~58% RB playing SNG. This is before any deposit bonuses, BoP sng winnings, other promos etc

Between 2013-2015 I probably received around $900,000 in RB. 2016 at 45% RB I still made a huge chunk. I got the equivalent of 3x SNE which is a bit shy of $550,000 rake paid ($545,454 to be ~exact) and I got 45% back, or $245,000ish in RB.

The humongous majority of my lifetime VPPs/total amount of rake paid came in 2013-2016. 2013 ~72% RB, 2014 ~72% RB, 2015 65% RB, 2016 45%. Before 2012, my first time completing SNE (and I stopped at exactly 1,000,000 VPPs), I didn't have much money raked lifetime as I was a 180 grinder

Lifetime I have >13,000,000 VPPs at this point. We lost the capability of seeing our VPPs in our accounts last year when chests launched and there was a forced PS update, but yea, I completed 10,000,000 before end of 2016 and still in 2017 raked a ****ton of money overall as we had HEAPS of HS action during TCOOP (with 27% RB) and the HS action didn't really die until last summer when chests launched. By the end of SCOOP 2017 I was def on >1.25mil VPPs for the year and probably closer to 1.5mil or maybe even past it.

Heh, that was actually kind of fun to think about. But yeh, between 2012-today have made ~1.5mil in RB on PS, maybe bit more

Quick update after quite the long IRL day. Sitting here running a few sng sims before going to bed, going to try to be on the grind by Hot 33 start time tomorrow but we'll see.....def by Bounty 44.

Ended up getting my hair cut and spending a lot of time with my vehicles over at the shop hehe. Had a small problem with the Durango but got it fixed this afternoon with Nick. Went out to a fantastic dinner at Susannahs with Karen after picking her up from the veterinarian clinic at 5. Worked out perfectly as I drove her home so she could shower and get ready and I drove the ~6 mins to the shop where the truck is and was there until she was ready to go.

Quick 1.5 minute video that will show just how much goes into this ****. A lottt. But going to be super sick when it's all done. Engine all the way out now and is sitting on the engine hoist, tons of **** going on. Having to resleeve and rehone at least one of the cylinders, maybe a few of them. I know injector 1 and 7 were needing some work too. Can't remember some other details, always a lot of **** to try to remember each time I go there heh

Going to keep running my sims and then get to bed, gla on the grind!

Did you ever end up buying that plot of land? Are you in mexico forever now even if online poker were to die at some point?
