They only offer 'normal' SNGs (6max hypers, 6max turbos, 6max DoNs, 9max of same 3 formats, etc) up to $109. I have played a bit on there but not too much. Feel they're really done nothing towards bringing SNGers over. There was talk around the end of May in the 5k turbo chat about a lot of different cool things that could be trialed, but nothing really ever came of any of it.

Been a lot of madness happening IRL. I am basically considering the start of this Winter Series as the start of my 2018. It runs from Dec 25 until Jan 7 and I of course am not missing any days of it. But yea, I have been getting **** done IRL and also having some fun while I can, as I basically consider 2018 started once this mini series starts on Dec 25!!


After the series is over, I am supposed to be accompanying Lupita on a little trip down to where she was born and raised until 6 years old. She was born in Puebla and also has family in Oaxaca. This trip is to visit her father's grave and to some of her family (on her father's side) for the first time in a long time.

I'm quite excited as it will be my first time venturing out of the Tijuana/Rosarito/Ensenada area. Will be fun to meet some more of her family and seeing her childhood home. The food is absolutely amazing down there too, so am excited for that as well. Her food and her mom's food is the best I've ever had in Mexico, so I can't wait to gorge myself down there

The only thing I'm slightly nervous about is communication, specifically with the more elderly folks down there. Lupita herself talks/writes super weird and it took me a while to get to where I could understand almost everything she said. Ruseman has as good or better Spanish than I and he still struggles when trying to chat with her. But yea, the area has way more 'native' people who don't just speak 'normal' Spanish. Most more or less can speak Spanish but a lot of words/phrases/etc from the native dialects down there, such as from the dialects of the Mixtecos (Lupita is Mixtec), mix over into how people speak down there. Should be quite the experience I'm sure

As someone was already surprised at how to announce this city, I will share it here too. I struggled mightily my first about 3 years down here in Mexico at remembering how to pronounce Oaxaca correctly lolz, really is absurd

But yea, other than that exciting news, I really only have 1 absurd thing that I'll only slightly get into. Alisha came over last Thursday morning after not sleeping after waking up Wednesday and working and drinking all Wed night into Thurs morning. We were having the perfect day until at some point she literally lost her mind.....she was talking to a girl that wasn't there and over time got more and more agg @ the imaginary girl and at me. SSRI's for depression does not mix well with heaps of alcohol and no sleep for 40+ hours....

Anyway, she ended up storming out of my house, yelling super absurd **** at me, and long story short, 1 hour later I get a call from a local cop buddy saying that she's in jail lmao. I'm kind of drunk and super pissed at her, so I just end up leaving her in jail overnight, hoping she'll learn a ****ing lesson.

Go and get her Friday after my cop buddy assures me that she'll be able to leave in the morning and that it won't cost anything. She didn't even remember really anything lol. Her first messages to me on Friday morning...

'Why did we fight last night?
I called you to come get me out of jail
You put me in jail?'

loooool






So yea, as I always say...She might be only 4 ft 11 / 100 lbs (1.50metres / 45 kg) but she causes the biggest problems and is a walking path of destruction lolz. her anyway, she always keeps it interesting




Been sort of a ****ty month, I'll post graphs on the 24th most likely when I wrap up my 'year' and am ready to start this challenge with a bang on the 25th at the start of the Winter Series! Some Alisha pics to hopefully induce the run good!

Wow, did not mean to go so long without an update but I have been crazy busy! If I am not grinding or sleeping, I'm busy with something IRL or scrambling to study or do bookkeeping etc

The challenge has started off so-so. We're 7 full days in and I am down overall at SNGs, but this is due to not running so nicely at the higher buyins. Down 5k at just 1k 25bb hypers in itself.

I am happy with the volume I have cranked out this far, especially as I have not played the late schedule yet due to the series running...will probably grind the late majors a few nights this coming week though












I did have a nice final day of the year at MTTs. Started off losing QQ to AJ with 15 left in the Hotter 82 to be left annoyed and then busted 6th in the Hotter 109 jamming BTN with 12bbs with QJs and running into AK when there was a 3bb and a 5bb stack still in . Did finally finish off the Bounty 109 for once, I believe I have like 8 or 9 different top 25 finishes in it in 2017 and before today, my best finish was 7th. Was a nice way to close out my year as I 1 tabled it for the last 2+ hours

Anyway, after finishing up I quickly ran out to have dinner with Ruseman. Then went over to my mechanics house to check the progress on the truck and am now home and have finished accounting and am about to study. Drank 0 alcohol, will be in bed before midnight and hopefully will not be woken up by fireworks/other madness as my alarm will be going off at 6am!

I have no idea how much I made in RB once the chests came about on July 6th.

Jan 1, 2017 through July 5, 2017 I made about $61k RB, 27% rb on 226k rake paid









I honestly don't study that much anymore. Probably from Sept 2017 through today I've spent <25 hours running sng spots. I always have these grand plans of studying and then it never happens .

I've never run a postflop sim and have watched <5 hours total of training vids on nlhe games heh, so I am probably not the person to ask when it comes to study help .

I did do heaps of studying sng spots in past years though. After this winter festival I plan on doing a bit of work on my 6max hyper sat game, mostly explo stuff as my strategy was always based around playing 5 and 6 reg games. I guess that is something I can say....always stay humble and stay hungry and continuously try to improve. I have by far the most profit of anyone at non nosebleed 6m hyper sats the last 3 years and I know there are a ton of tweaks I can make in my game to improve my roi.

Also REALLY need to work on my mtt game at some point, I am def leaking a lot there in many spots

But yea, I guess my advice would be to manage your time wisely. It's important to figure out where the highest % of your overall EV is coming from and then you want to ~perfect that portion of your game. Once you're feeling really good and results are great, then you have to sort of switch your mentality (imo at least) and figure out what is the best use of your time...grinding, studying, relaxing etc. I rarely study because I feel the best use of my time is to grind and when I am not grinding, I am usually tired!

Today was a big grind! I put up ~1850 games over the course of a 12 hour session and then coming back and playing a $60+ 25bb cash hypers on my side computer while running a cpl sng spots on my desktop. Definitely the most games I've played in a day in quite a while, although I had many 1300-1600 game days in the past few months.











Unfortunately didn't run very well in the 25bb and higher stakes in general ended meh after a decent start to the day. Pretty much the same story on Jan 1st too tbh. It's okay though, have made some money for myself at the low stake games.

I am hoping to fall asleep by midnight (1.25 hours from now). Am weirdly not tired at all which seems kind of silly for how much I played today. I would expect a good sized grind again tomorrow, but given the late event is not NLHE, I certainly don't think I'll put up as much volume. I might cut the day short and not grind the late stuff....will kind of see how I feel and how the traffic is. If I stop tomorrow, I definitely MUST study; I stopped early on Monday with the intention of studying and then did ~none

Yeah your work ethic is pretty inspiring and that's crazy rakeback! I don't really study either, just grind. There's a lot of people that constantly reiterate how important studying is, so I was just curious about how highly people at the top rate it.

Yea I mean I think I'm one of the rare cases. Seems like most other HS guys like at the cash hypers and whatnot are putting a lot of effort into studying. And it definitely shows...I'm leaking a lot in MTTs and definitely noticing in the last like 6 months specifically that I've fallen behind the curve in that format. Or at least not playing well enough while mass tabling hyper turbos to have much of an edge anymore.

Super super busy weekend! I played a really long Saturday session and didn't get to bed until about 10pm and was back up at 1:45 AM (couldn't sleep ) and on the grind by 4am and played a nice 13 hour session today

Had tons of energy all day and was feeling great, even didn't feel badly once I finished up for the day. Massage therapist showed up about an hour after I finished up and after the massage, I was finally getting super tired! We all went out to dinner, my massage therapist Shana, her husband Hazan, their 3 kids and myself. Great time, just getting home now and gonna watch some TV and hopefully take get a super duper long sleep in

Had an amazing day today at low stakes. Overall series went extremely well at LS, which is quite nice as I'm finally 100% own diming a good bit of the LS and ofc not giving up much on the rest of the $50 and under SNGs.




Anywayyyyy, drank a bit at dinner (first alcohol of 2018!) so just posting some graphs and gonna catch some netflix and hopefully pass out for a nice, long 12+ hour nap lolz

14 days into the challenge and already on 17k+ games, looking good!
