Would you recommend ICMizer over HR Calculator or vice-versa?

Hey all! Had quite the busy weekend of grinding. Didn't go so great but that's how it goes sometimes. Not grinding today, but will finish the month off strong with 3 sessions Tuesday-Thursday, probably not taking a day off for 10+ days in a row after today!

Today I'm having a late Thanksgiving dinner with my special lady Lupita and my close friend and massage therapist Shana, her fiance and their 3 kids. Hazan, the fiance, had surgery last Thursday so they were not able to celebrate, and Shana asked if I'd agree to let her use my kitchen/use my place and I of course said sure!

Before getting into anything else, I want to state that I'm the AskThePro guest on Tiltbook this week. Questions are supposed to be posted over there by Wednesday. Hahah hilarious response, I laughed . I was actually on both the sand (on the beach) and dirt (up in the hills) on just Friday. The area I live in is famous for offroading and there's tons of great terrain and trails etc.

There is actually a style of truck named for the area I live in...Baja trucks/Baja trophy trucks. The Baja500 and Baja1000, 2 of the more well known offroading races in the world, start just 30 mins south of where I live in Ensenada. Every summer, during WCOOP, there is the Rosarito Desert Challenge as well, all races sponsored by Score.


My truck is actually a perfect 'chase truck' for the offroading teams. Each race truck has another truck that is outfitted with spare tires/parts/etc and needs to be both fast and able to handle the same terrain that the race trucks are racing on. The trucks break down during the races or you might flip over your truck, and having a super reliable chase truck and team is a very important aspect.

I've been approached by a few of the teams that have stayed at the Calafia Towers where I live. Definitely could very easily find sponsorship and be a part of one of the offroading teams. The issue is I'd then be required to travel around on weekends quite often, so I'm not interested at this point.

Actually here's a quote from an article:

"A chase truck is defined as; A highly modified truck that carries the crew, gear, supplies and operational equipment in support of a race truck. Chase trucks must be highly capable off road both in strength and power. They must be able to handle the terrain of the race course while being loaded down with spare parts and tools capable of fixing anything on the race truck or itself.

These trucks often are the tow pigs bringing the race truck to the event and then must traverse the course to the series of pit areas. Once the event has concluded they are packed up for the long haul back to the shop. We’re not talking about your typical pre-runner here; these behemoths are every bit as important as the race truck itself."

I personally prefer HRC for most things, but there are some things that I use ICMizer for that HRC isn't as good with. I think it's more a personal preference and depends on what you're playing to know which is better for you to use

In, tbh before I was not aware that there are still people who make serious money playing SNGs. Looks like you're used to put a ton of grind/work every day, wish I could do that in similar way. GL

Subbed, i've got a love hate relationship with poker. I self banned myself from PS for 6months then got properly banned by PS themselves after confessing that I was having difficulties with managing my expectations and responsible gambling. Anyway, I'm back on stars now after lots of rehab, i always read your threads as a source of inspiration.

Well, it's been a while since I've updated. Didn't even get a November ending post in here! Been quite busy both grinding and then IRL, and on top of it was a bit ill the past week or so. Am finally feeling better though and planning to grind hard Wed-Sunday

I don't have a ton to update with. Will probably be a pretty common theme in 2018 due to how hard I will be grinding. But will be fun to watch the weekly volume and results come pouring in!

And was with the beautiful ex GF Alisha all of yesterday up until early Tues morning. She is almost done buying 2 plots of land in Tijuana, we discussed a bit of a business plan for her and I loaned her the last bit of money she needed as her last day to pay for the 2nd plot is Sunday (small amount, 2kish). She will also finally be returning to University in January to finish up with her degree. Would like to go for more schooling but isn't sure she'll immediately have time.

So yea, I'm quite glad she finally has her head on straight and she's doing good things with her life....her and I both will be on that grind in 2018. I believe I will be doing Xmas with her and her family as she really wants me to come. Told her no chance I miss a Sunday grind but could skip Monday if there's nothing special going on
