i encourage everyone to set exciting and challenging goals for yourselves!!! make sure you revisit your goals every month atleast to see how your doing on all of them one by one. give yourself a grade for each one and do a recap at the end of the month seeing what you can improve on and what you have been doing great with!! when your reading your goals to yourself read them with complete enthusiasm and excitement its very very very important to do this so that you can associate massive pleasure and passion towards achieving all your goals!!
a quick update on my goals here for those of you who care

1) i have read atleast 10 books soo far this year so i am def on pace to smash this goal i should read between 30-40 books this year, on team 651 we have " a book of the month" in which i make a video about at the end of each month going over the key points of the book and it helps a lot with mental game and keeping things in perspective!!! if you don't read then i highly recommend to start reading, if you need some book recommendations just let me know and i'd be happy to give you some

2) i have snoozed a couple of times this year, i just recently went on a trip to montreal for two weeks with some of the guys from team 651 to play live mtts!!!! it was a blast but i will say that i wasn't waking up at 9.30 am every morning, now that i am back home i am completely on track with this one again!!!!

3) i have been eating extremely healthy this year, staying away from all junk!!!!

4) this one is difficult considering how healthy i am eating, i just can't seem to put on weight regardless of what i do lol, if anyone reading this has any helpful tips of putting on strong muscle weight then please let me know. I have tried weight gainer protein shakes and stuffing my face until i feel like throwing up and those have only gave me minimal results

5) always on track with this, meditation can be difficult sometimes to get started with because some days you just don't feel like doing it, but regardless of this i do it every single day and usually somewhere in the midst of my meditation i feel amazing!!!! this is something that can easily be procrastinated with so if you are meditating inconsistently then i would say just get started everyday!!! and trust me in the middle or towards the end of the meditation you will feel a lot better and be glad that you started.

6) been completely on track with this!!

7) #easy

8) i am happy to say that i am above 7 percent ev roi this year vs fish, super pumped about working on my fish game results and destroying them!!! its a great feeling

9) i have been going to toastmasters on fridays and was even the toastmaster once and it felt great, i haven't given a speech yet but that is what is coming next for me!!! i also have dropped into some improv classes and i will be joining an improv course when i get back from a europe trip that my gf and i have planned in june

10) i have already gotten most of these test done recently, most of my results look good besides for that i have some bacteria in my **** that i need to work on lol. also i have some food sensitivities but i did some research and found that the food sensitivity test is not very accurate. I did an elimination diet of gluten and dairy and after a couple of weeks i actually felt worse!!! i knew you were suppose to feel some withdrawal symptoms but wasn't expecting it to be that long, anyways i didn't notice much of a difference so i reintroduced the foods back into my diet and i felt better!!! so i will continue to consume gluten and dairy but in moderation

11) i went to unlease the power within which was an incredible experience i highly recommend anyone to go there, i have date with destiny booked in december which i am super excited for as well!!!

Hey,

Can you make a top 10 books that influenced you the most? I recently read Drive by Daniel Pink and Midnset by Carol Dweck, they were pretty good.

In regards to muscle gaining, you didn't mention anything about training. You have to be pretty consistent and push beyond your confort zone each session to signal your body that it needs more muscle to do a certain exercise.

Also from what i have read, if you do all things right you can't expect more that 10 pounds of lean muscle/year. The best would be to hire a coach for 1-2 months so you don't waste time trying different stuff.

Keep up the good work, it's inspiring. I wish i had a menthor like you

So finished yesterday reading the book...I had a lot of things to learn from it, i will name here some notes that i've made:

- Lack of persistence is one of the major causes of failure

- Start where you stand, and work with whatever tools you may have at your command, and better tools will be found as you go along. The time will never be just "right" to start

- Budgeting my time, my income, my expenses

- Riches do not respond to wishes. They respond only to definite plans, backed by definite desires, through constant PERSISTENCE.

- The chapter about self-analysis/take inventory of yourself is very eye opening

- Sometimes it appears that there is a hidden Guide whose duty is to test men through all sorts of discouraging experiences. Those who pick themselves up after defeat and keep on trying, arrive

- Every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent advantage

That's about it. I will have to read again some chapters in the near future to put into practice what i've learned.

Jackstack, what were the things you learned most from this book, that helped you the most?

Thank you again for the recommendations Gl!

thanks for sharing your notes here!!! think and grow rich to me is about strengthening your mindset and cultivating the passion and desire it takes to attract wealth into your life and not tolerating anything less then what you know that your capable of, and faith plays a huge part in this. You must be able to trust yourself and the process

this is the absolute most important part, anybody can just read a book and then continue living their lives the same exact way they did before reading the book, the challenge is to actually implement all that you learn into your life and expand your horizons. Through the discomfort and resistance to implementing some of the things you learn is where you will grow and begin to develop courage.

hey guys!!!!! just a really quick update on where i am at with my goals, this will likely be the last update until the end of the year.

1) i am playing at 6.6 ev roi so have crushed this goal

2) already have read 24 books looking to read 36 now!!

3) done and done

4) i don't hit the snooze button but i have to admit i just reset the alarm clock sometimes lol, i get up almost everyday at 9 am but to reach this goal i never hit snooze but i am sometimes just resetting the alarm to 9.30 am so kind of cheating but i always wake up between 9-9.30am

5) excellent ^^

6) this is the one goal i can't seem to get any traction on, it is something i have been trying for many years but unable to gain momentum as it is in conflict with my eating healthy goal and my metabolism is insanely fast. if anyone has any advice on this end i would love to hear it!! thanks

7) been meditating 12 mins a day, everyday!!!!

8) i have been going 4 times a week but i want to change the goal to this, 4 times is good for me

9) easyyyyy

My metabolism is insanely fast is usually an excuse for guys who are just not eating enough, I thought the same when I wanted to gain some weight. Just count your daily calorie intake at the moment (with apps like myfitnesspal) set goals on how fast you wanna gain. Just make sure you eat enough protein and fats because without them you won't gain any muscle

2 of the most common mistakes in the way of gaining muscles are:

1) People consume too much protein because they believe that more is always better.
Truth is that 20 gr/meal is maximum protein your body can use for anabolism purposes. Anything above that is being used for energy production (if u consume less kcals than u need) or fat if you exceed your daily caloric needs.

2) People tend to believe that in order to be lean when you gain weight you have to cut down carbohydrates and eat loads of protein.
Its a fact that no matter how much protein you take in your everyday diet ( through food or supplements) if you fail to meet your daily energy needs , your body will choose to burn protein to produce energy and will not use protein for anabolism (building muscles)

A simple advice for you Jack will be to measure your daily caloric needs and make a food plan because unfortunately its the only (safe and proper) way to gain weight

thanks for the advice, my challenge is that i have went through periods in my life where i was eating to the point of almost throwing up 5 times a day stuffing my face in and after 6 months i would gain like 8 lbs maximum and would not be able to hold it unless i ate like a pig at all times. It's not fun eating like that everyday as you feel like **** basically the entire day because your insanely full always. I also took weight gainer shakes etc but again just give me slight weight gain nothing that can get me up 15-20 lbs

tried this already for a while, i think the major issue is that putting on weight for me is in conflict with my health goals. So i don't want to eat high calorie garbage food to put on weight, i want to eat healthy so it is a bit difficult but thanks for this advice, usually in m life the more i am aware that i am running behind on this goal the more i eat so that will help me but i am trying to find something sustainable without eating myself to death everyday and feeling soo full that if someone pushed me i might throw up lol

here is my 2018 year in recap!!!

1) i ended the year with 6.58 ev roi so absolutely destroyed this goal here!!!!

2) read atleast 30 books so we did great on this front here too!!!!!

3) i took her on three vacations but unfortunately we have broke up as we had different values in life and were not getting along anymore and could not see eye to eye!!!

4) ive been somewhat cheating on this one, i have been hitting the snooze button maybe 2 or 3 times a month on days where i am super tired in the mornings so this is something i will look to improve on in the future!!!!

5) i did really well on this front although i realized that this goal is in direct conflict with my goal of gaining weight and so i have decided to bulk up on some more junky food until i have put on the weight that i want to put on and then ill get back to a balanced diet like this one

6) failed this goal pretty hard i am weighing in at 160 lbs right now, but i did realize what was holding me back was the conflicting goal of eating super healthy which does not help with putting on weight and calories so i will be changing this for my 2019 goals and my new goal weight is gonna be 190!!!!
so that i can force myself to make some drastic changes

7) i have been meditating atleast 12 mins per day in 2019 we are gonna bump this up to 15 mins!!!

8) i have been going 3-4 times per week but have a little homegym where i can do dips and pullups so its basically 5 times!!!!

9) i coach 3 times per week and have 2 meetings per week!!

overall 2018 was a great year for me, the breakup with my gf towards the end of the year has shaken things up a little bit but i am extremely excited to see what 2019 has in store for me, excited to grow my youtube channel, to expand team 651 and bring more value there. read tons of new fascinating books, build new experiences, have some adventures and also spend more time on nurturing relationships as oppose to working 60-70 hour weeks!!! i will be posting my 2019 goals very soon on here as soon as i figure all of them out so stay tuned for that!!!!
