First of all this is the first post on 2+2, but I have browsed hundreds and hundreds of PG + C threads over my 5 years of playing poker on and off.
I am from the UK, and like many other people fell in love with the game from a young age. I started playing poker when I was 16 on stars and played a mixture of games, Cash, SNG and tourneys all before I would bust the roll I had on my account and quit for a couple of months. I have always loved watching poker and even followed the scene while I quit. I love tournament poker and this is what I have been playing over the last couple of weeks since I decided to deposit again and give it a proper go.
I have never put much effort into studying the game before as I was young and naive. However since I have started playing again I have purchased poker tracker, a subscription to Deuces Cracked and my first poker book ever. The Theory of Poker.
The format I have decided on playing is MTTSNG + MTT's. I will be starting with 0.50$ 45 mans on stars until I can beat them with a respectable ROI and have the BRM to move onto 0.50$ 180 mans. Eventually I would love to play the high stakes 180s and the large field MTTs, with the dream of playing in an EPT main event one day.
Right now I have $50 on my stars account and will start a fresh grind from tomorrow onwards. I will use this to post my progress, ups and downs, and most of all, to get some advice and help to make me the best poker player I can be. I will be posting hand analysis when I can and would also like some advice on routes I could take to get to the large field MTT's with sufficient BRM.
As mentioned above I am playing the 45 mans as I have read that these are a good base to learn the fundamentals of MTTs and be a good base to start from!
